Hello Kali, I apologize your experience did not live up to your expectations. We have just purchased this house last week and thought I would take the opportunity to reply to your review even though it is based on your stay prior to our taking possession of the house. We have since upgraded some indoor furniture, replaced outdoor furniture and loungers, curtains, door knobs and fixed the fireplace. Hi Shelley, I'm sorry that your stay didn't meet your expectations. Since purchasing the house earlier this month we have purchased new loungers for by the pool, a brand new Weber BBQ was delivered yesterday, We have hired a new pool/hot tub maintenance company that attends to the house twice/week. The planters have since been disposed of. With regard to the sand-like substance in the games room it sounds like it may be the silicon sand used on the shuffle board table? Either way, I have ensured that our housekeepers are aware and will complete a comprehensive clean of the area. Furniture has been deep cleaned and some of the pieces have been upgraded. I hope you'll give us the opportunity to host you again under our upgraded standards and personal management. Thank you, Shaun

We love our desert home and take excellent care of it! We have it professionally cleaned after each guest (of course!), as well as weekly yard maintenance and pool cleaning multiple times per week. We are always making improvements and updates to maintain our historic home, although we do occasionally have a mismatched mug get in the mix! Our property is beautifully lanscaped with mature palm trees, cacutses, flowering shrubs and many other plants. The statements from this guest are complaints we have never had from another guest, and in fact, most were not even mentioned during the phone call. When she called , she only mentioned the dog bed in the garage and the lack of ping pong balls. We do keep a stash of extra balls, but I didn't even have a chance to tell her that over the phone because she was so rude and belligerent. I had no choice but to end the call and immediately continue communication through messages. She told me they wanted to leave, and of course I didn't want them to stay when they were so unhappy and attempts to placate her were unsuccessful. I gave her a deadline of 2 hours to vacate the property to receive a partial refund, but they stayed beyond that time and even used the pool while I waited to see what she would do. They didn't communicate with me that they were leaving, and I found out through my security system they had left later than they stated. As expected, she left a negative review with many complaints she didn't even mention to me during her rude phone call. All I can say is homeowners beware, this woman is very unpleasant and difficult to deal with!
