Pelican Beach 604 – Shore Thing is a charming 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo offering breathtaking views from the private balcony. This inviting retreat comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests and features a thoughtfully designed layout ideal for families or small groups seeking comfort and convenience.

Located in the heart of Destin, this condo places you just a short walk from Big Kahuna’s Water Park and minutes from shopping, dining, and entertainment. Whether you’re enjoying the views from the balcony or unwinding after a day at the beach, Shore Thing delivers a memorable Destin vacation experience.

**The Pelican Beach HOA is replacing the coat/seal on the upper floor and ramp of the parking garage, as well as both tennis courts. This project is expected to begin in December and last 3 months. During this time, the upper parking garage, tennis/pickleball courts, and EV chargers will not be accessible. The covered parking garage will be closed in sections while they work overhead. We appreciate your patience while these improvements are being made. **

Perfect Family Getaway with Stunning Beach View!

Our family of five had an amazing spring break vacation! The unit was perfect for us—our kids especially loved the bunk beds, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The breathtaking beach view made our stay even more special. We would absolutely return!

Quick trip

We booked a trip for a quick beach vacation. Loved the security at the resort. The condo was exactly as pictured and we had everything we needed in the condo to cook. The option to order food and drinks from the waitresses was a huge plus in keeping everyone fed and happy. A+ stay and trip!

Truly beachfront

This property was as good, if not better, than advertised. It felt larger than I had thought it would be. I think 6 people would be very possible, but for just my wife and I, it was quite roomy. The balcony was our favorite spot in the evening, and walking down to the water takes only minutes with direct beachfront access and no streets or boardwalks to cross. Perfect! My wife used both pools during our stay and said they were very nice. The condo itself was nicely updated with well thought out design that constantly remind you that you have arrived at the beach. I didn't try the bunk beds, but I bet young kids would love them! We are already planning our next visit and hope this condo will be available. The manager of this rental, Kris, was responsive and very helpful.

Issues with condo but nice location

The building is in a great location. The elevators were crowded and had to wait a few minutes at times. The condo itself was surface clean but dingy. I thought the lock for the door could have been more secure. Additionally, the screen door to the patio was completely detached upon our arrival, making it a safety hazard for our toddler. The owner was prompt in responding to the matter and the maintenance fixed it within a day. The bunk beds were hard as a rock so my kids chose to sleep in the sofa bed instead. The dishwasher was not working properly and the owner said maintenance looked at it and had no issues…. Ran it again and it again came out with dirty dishes. The owner would not recognize the issue and said maintenance did not find issues. Not sure if it was actually looked at but nonetheless it was overall an inconvenience to our trip. For the price I would have expected better. Other than the location this place was just “ok.”

Jill sent 32 total messages for her stay - she is a guest who requires a lot of attention. We sent maintenance and an appliance repair person at significant expense and neither professional could find anything wrong with the dishwasher! Jill asked several times for refunds for this and left all of her dirty dishes at the end of her stay. She also asked for a refund of the VRBO host fee when she first booked. Upon her departure my cleaning team ran the dishwasher and all dishes were clean. We have hosted many guests since her departure with zero issues. We have hosted so many happy guests in this condo and have one of the few condos in the building with fully remodeled bathrooms - for Jill to call it dingy is unkind and not true. We work so hard for each and every guest, just as we did for Jill! We know that we offer a beautiful and updated condo and a great experience for all of our guests!

Perfect Destination in Destin

I have stayed at many VRBO units over the years. I do a lot of research before I make my final selection. I have rarely been disappointed and usually my choices are all close to a perfect match. I can usually judge if the unit is good as soon as I walk in the door. This unit was as close to perfect as you can get. When you walk into the unit, you see that green table and chair set on the balcony and the Gulf behind- PERFECT. I do not think I even unpacked. I grabbed a glass of wine and sat on the balcony - Just looking at the view. And when the sun set, it was perfect every day. You could not make it any better. Then add the pools, the hot tubs, the ocean. To top it off all the restaurants were close. It was smack dad in the middle. Just as advertised

Wonderful place to stay

From check in to check out, this condo was terrific. The only slight complaint I have was there are no "beach towels" available, and had to purchase these at WalMart. Not a huge deal, but would be helpful to know prior to arriving. Another issue, not related to the condo, is their beach chair service company. We made reservations weeks before arriving for 3 days, and found that the last day was not included even though our reservation showed it was. The gents putting out the chairs would not assist, and quite rude with their responses saying we had to call their office. We did and were told by the operator to try and work it out with the boys placing the chairs. Again they were rude and would even discuss the situation. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and has since been disputed with my credit card company. Would have saved them a lot of headache and money to do what is right the first time.

I'm sorry you missed that info before your stay. I hate to hear you had any trouble with beach service - they are a separate vendor and not in my control. If you had reached out during your stay that you had any trouble, I would have been glad to call and try to help. Most of our guests love the beach attendants and find them nice and helpful, so I hope you just caught them on a bad day. Thanks again!
