Amazing Stay in Lake Placid

We did so much and this was the perfect central location. We went to most of the Olympic sites, hiked Mt Joe, drive up Whiteface and took a trip to Ausable Chasm. We were able to walk to restaurants and Mirror Lake public beach to swim. The kitchen and sleeping arrangements made this an ideal place to stay for our family 5.

Great weekend spot in Lake Placid

The apartment was so cute and the perfect size for our family of 5. The location was great, so close to the skating rink, Main Street and all the shops & restaurants. As others have stated, the only complaint was the sound from our neighbors above, you can hear every movement especially the children running around. Of course that will all be dependent on who is staying above you. I would still recommend.

Fantastic stay in Lake Placid

We had such a wonderful stay in Lake Placid. The condo certainly made it that much better. It was very cute, clean, and close to town. The owners were wonderful. Can’t wait for our next stay.

We had a nice getaway weekend. The condo was clean and well maintained. Host provided all information in a timely fashion. Very convenience to downtown Lake Placid and surrounding area.

Perfect Location

We fully enjoyed our short stay in Lake Placid staying at the Cascade Apartment! Easy walk to village for shopping, enjoying a latte and dinner. It was a short drive to our hiking destinations and the rail trail. Our two dogs enjoyed the lawn area and walks around neighborhood. The kitchen was adequate enough for the light cooking we did for breakfast. Most importantly the beds were very comfortable! .

Great location

Property was in good proximity to the town of Lake Placid. We were able to walk Mirror Lake and the stores downtown. It was nice having a walkout area to let the dog out. Great property!

It was a really nice stay. We were able to help our daughter relocate to Paul Smith’s College and catch a couple of really nice hikes with friends.

Such a nice place!

We really enjoyed the place. Very clean and cozy!! It wasn't noisy as other reviewers mentioned which was fabulous. Close to downtown and easily walkable. We would come back in a heart beat!

Over all it was a great spot, walking distance to Main Street and the Herb Brooks Arena! We enjoyed our stay, hoping to return next year!

Cute place, convenient for hockey

My family of three stayed here for a long weekend due to a hockey tournament at the Olympic rink. It was very convenient to the rink (literally a block) and downtown. The decor was cute, the bed was comfortable and we had a good stay. If I were going to rent again, however, I would rent one of the upstairs units rather than this one. The ceilings were thin and we could hear the people above us all day and night. They were not partying or being obnoxious, it was just constant noise. I was also surprised by the fact that there were not even basic welcoming supplies provided for a morning coffee. No sugar, no tiny cream packet, no coffee, no filters, nothing. I know the trend for rentals like these is to provide the bare minimum but there was *nothing*. I wasn’t told otherwise, so I am not complaining, but I wish I had not assumed there would be something to get through the first morning. The weather was also cold and snowy during our trip. Part of the checkout is to take out the trash (again, normal) but neither the walkway in front of the building nor the area in front of the outside trash container was shoveled so I was wading through shin-high snow to throw the trash out.

Highly recommend

This place was so well cared for, inviting and comfortable. It had all the kitchen necessities from home. Communication with owner was very responsive and accommodating. Very close to Olympic rinks and village. I highly recommend staying here and I hope to be back.

Well decorated 2 bedroom apartment

My husband, I stayed over Thanksgiving and weekend. The apartment was well stocked and beautifully decorated in Adirondack/ski style. The apartment is about a block away from the Main Street and half a block from the skate arena. We had everything we needed for our weekend.

Perfect Weekend Away

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend up in Lake Placid and this property was perfect! The unit was immaculate and cozy. Kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of utensils, plates, cookware, etc. Location was close to Main Street and we did walk to the shops one day. Check-in was super easy and I would definitely rent this property again.

Great location!

Check in was extremely easy. The apartment looked exactly the same as online. Very clean and loved we were able to bring our dogs! The sliders made it very convenient to take the dogs outside when they had to go. I would stay here again!
