Brand new home with ocean and marsh views! Only a 2-minute walk to the beach with private beach access. When you wish upon a starfish, there is plenty of space to relax on four spacious covered porches and watch the sun set on the ocean or the marsh. Great inverted floor plan to maximize views and hear the ocean. This house features 4 Bedrooms and 3 full baths with laundry unit. Three bedrooms on the first floor and one of the bedrooms is a fun getaway for kids with wall-to-wall bunk beds (5 twins total). One bedroom and full bath on the second floor with kitchen, breakfast area, and living room with lots of windows for relaxing views. There is an oversized pool with a toddler friendly splash pad. Pool can be heated for an additional fee. Please check with owner for rate and availability. *see policy below.* The house is well stocked for all your beach vacation needs. This house is kid friendly with toys and games for all ages, books, two toddler mattresses (one under each King bed), pack-n-play, and toddler dining booster seat. Linens (sheets and towels) are included in the rental fee. For entertainment, there is free Wi-Fi, a smart TV in each bedroom and the living room (Spectrum TV streaming included), movies, board games and puzzles. Additional items such as a beach wagon, bikes, scooters, chairs, floats, and beach toys are available for use. Smart keyless lock on the main entry makes entry a breeze for everyone with your own private code. Your beach vacation is ready for you here on Schooner Dr!!!
**Pool Policy: The pool heater will not function well if overnight temps are in the low 50’s or below. The Heater can generally maintain between 10-20 degrees above the outside temperature. Heater availability is dependent on the weather and we’ve historically been able to offer it from April to October (and occasionally in November). We try hard to look at the forecast to see if the heater is an option, but forecasts do change.

Great Stay

This rental is in a great location and has everything we needed for 2 families to have a wonderful beach vacation. It's our second time staying here. The beach is a short walk and the pool provides options for the kids other than the beach. Overall we had a great vacation.

Great week

This is at the end of the island, quiet, less traffic. Great place for families especially since the beach access has no stairs. House was clean, well stocked and we enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed this property! We booked it during the off season in November and thanks to the weather cooperating, we were able to get the pool heated and it was heavenly (a highlight of our stay). The property is located nearly all the way down on the West side. It had great views of both the sunrise and sunset. Spacious porches with comfy rocking chairs. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was meticulously organized and had everything we needed. The host was very easy to communicate with and was very kind. Overall - an amazing visit and great host. It’s hard not to be happy at Holden Beach :)

Family Friendly House and Beach

We truly enjoyed our stay and Holden Beach. The house was equipped with everything and then some and the host seemed to have thought of everything. The kids loved the bunk room and all of the beach and pool toys. Located in a quiet area and having a quiet section of the beach was definitely a bonus. The neighbors were incredibly friendly as well. We hope to come back again!

The home owner answered all questions in a timely manner. If we go back to Holden Beach will definitely stay again. We had a blast.

The house was so beautiful. Our favorite feature was the pool! The views of the marsh and ocean were stunning. Loved the 2 minute walk to the beach with private access! The house is well stocked with all your needs. We would stay there again!

A wonderful stay!

We had the absolute best stay in Holden Beach. The house is gorgeous and has literally everything you could ever need with kids! The outdoor closet was stocked with beach chairs, pool floats, scooters, puddle jumpers etc. We loved having the private pool and easy beach access (just a quick walk to the beach). We could not recommend this property more and will definitely be back!

Fantastic vacation rental

We have been staying on the Carolina coasts for a week every summer for the last 6 years or so. Patty’s house has by far been the best one yet. There were 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 kids ages 8 to 14. There was room for all of us to watch movies together in the living room. The pool is amazing and they provide so many fun toys to play with. The beds were comfortable and the decor was pretty and tasteful. Overall 10 out of 10! We will definitely be back.

Awesome Family Oriented Beach House

My wife and I stayed with our three daughters, significant others and grandson. The home is definitely geared toward family fun. The house is well equipped with everything you could need. There were lots of beach chairs, wagons and toys for the beach and pool The access to the beach was right at the end of our street and only a couple minute walk from doorstep to waves. We enjoyed the beach in the mornings then relaxed in the pool in the afternoon and evenings. We will definitely go back again.

Fall Break Getaway

Our family had a great week at Holden Beach! Wish Upon a Starfish was a perfect fit for our family and so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were cozy, and just a short walk to the beach. Everyone loved the heated pool as well a all the extras…pool floats, bikes, beach chairs and wagon, baby dining seat, and even some workout equipment! We highly recommend The Cove, Aunt Irene’s (best cinnamon rolls ever), and Provisions. We even did a chartered fishing trip with Fin Charters and had a great afternoon. We’re a fly fishing family so it was awesome to do a little saltwater fishing. We highly recommend Wish Upon a Starfish and Holden Beach!

Perfect, quiet getaway

This was a perfect stay, especially for our littles. It sits on a super quiet dead end lane. Most neighbors live there & we’re super friendly with us! The pool was so nice, and we loved the short walk to the beach. They had all the essentials there too, we definitely over packed! My kiddos are still talking about this trip. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness. It could use a deep clean. The floors were dirty, and the towels were wet sitting on the beds when we arrived. We spent the first evening cleaning and rewashing a lot of stuff. We even bought Clorox wipes to wipe down all the counters and got more off of them than we had liked. We understand that this is the cleaners issues & it does not directly reflect the owners themselves. We think this is a great vacation spot & would consider coming again!

Wonderful stay!

Patty was extremely responsive through the whole process! (Even before I booked the week with her) We originally had the week before Memorial Day and were planning on leaving the day after. Unfortunately, the weather was not looking great. Since there was availability for us to shift a few days, Patty was more than willing to help us out where she could. We were able to shift it by a couple of days, and even though we got 2-3 sunny days.. it was better than nothing and we were so appreciate of her flexibility. The home is beautiful! It’s fully stocked with everything you could need. Board games and puzzles for rainy days, toys in the kids room and lots of kids books! It had all sorts of baby gear if you needed it and had bikes, beach chairs, pool floats, bike helmets and beach toys! The local neighbors on the street are so pleasant and the short walk to the beach was so convenient! We loved every part of it. Thank you Patty!

Absolutely wonderful!

The house was everything and more. We had everything we needed for the beach and pool. Everything was super comfortable in the house. My children 8 and 4 enjoyed the puzzles and games. Patty was a top notch host. Will will definitely consider staying here again!

Perfect!

This new vacation rental is amazing. The space and layout was great for my family (2 adults, 3 kids), my parents, my niece and her boyfriend. The kid room was a hit for my 6 year old. There were pool floats and toys galore. We took the bikes for a ride and enjoyed cooking on the grill one night. Patty and Bryan were great communicators when the automatic door lock needed batteries. It was a wonderful trip!

A Fantastic Vacation!

Our family of 10, from my grandmother at 76 to my youngest niece at almost 18 months, absolutely loved this house! It had everything we needed right down to a baby gate to help with the littles while upstairs. Patty was wonderful from the booking process all the way through checkout. I asked questions not even related to the property (since we had never been to Holden Beach before), and she always answered quickly and kindly. Paying a little extra to have the pool heated was SO worth it! The kids totally hated when we gave the call for one last jump, and they were asking when we could come back before we had even left. As titled, we had a fantastic vacation!

Great Vacation Home

This is an excellent house on the far side of the island making for a low key relaxing vacation. Checking in and out of the property was very simple. House offers lots of amenities. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Amazing property and gracious host!

Our family had a great time at Wish Upon a Starfish. The house is brand new, with a modern feel and tastefully decorated. It’s very kid friendly, with extra amenities for young kids, toddlers and babies (a pack-n-play, plastic ware for meals, broad selection of kid friendly books). The pool was a great highlight, and having it heated ensured we could take a dip anytime during our stay! We are neat freaks, and it was awesome to walk into a virtually spotless place. Patty is a very responsive host; I always received a prompt answer to any question we had. Can’t wait to go back!

The bar has been set very high going forward!

The host literally thought of everything to make us comfortable! The pool was amazing and the location is perfect 🤩 My family was so sad that we had to leave but we will be ack for sure because Patty was on top of things and took great care of us😊

We were so stoked to be the first to stay in this new house and it was amazing. The decor was peaceful and the location super convenient to a wide, quiet beach. The views from the house were a pleasant surprise and the porches were my favorite. The owners thought of everything. It was hard to leave!
