Apartment attached to a 200 year old farmhouse with views of the river, gardens, and our sweet farm animals. Only 20 minutes to Burlington and close to ski areas and bike paths. Porch on front and back with comfy seating area. We offer a grill, fire pit, and an outdoor pizza oven. Private access to the river for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Private yoga classes available on the docks or in the gardens. If you are looking for comfort and tranquility this is the property for you.

Chad is a wonderful host - so accommodating to our needs. We were able to check-in early & check-out a few hours late. The setting is great - a lovely view of the river. The chickens & goats were such fun - the chickens greeted us on the front porch in the morning. I highly recommend this property; we hope to stay there again!

There were Mice in the house so we got an hotel. We used VRBO before and number of times and all went well. I will not use VRBO again because you had a "who cares" business standards. The fact that we did not take pictures of the nice was preposterous. My wife and I just left.Look us up and you will see that prior to this event we also use your service.

Guest asked for early check in then arrived late. Claimed house was infested with mice after leaving front door open for quite some time while checking in. I left traps all over the unit to see if they would catch any mice and they did not. It is a 200 year old farmhouse. It's possible a mouse got in. I have a full time contract with pest management to stay ahead of any problems and take pride in the unit. It's unfortunate that this happened.

Chad was a wonderful host! Very easy to communicate with and very welcoming. He even made homemade dog treats for our little pup. The apartment was a quiant little spot just outside Burlington and was perfect for our weekend getaway. Couldn’t reccomend more!

The Kitchen was equipped with coffee, sugar, powdered creamer, spices, and olive oil to cook. He supplied dog bags and treats. The chickens roam free, and you have to watch where you step; you'll step in chicken poop. The river was nice across the street, and I saw the rowing team. It does have a nice view. The host was friendly and approachable, which helped potential guests feel more at ease about their stay, but it also lacked the extra essentials we needed. We purchased lightbulbs and paper towels. The stove and some of the dishes (in the dishwasher) were still dirty. The stove and countertops were not cleaned, and there were bugs/dust on the back countertops.If a broom and a dustpan were available, we would have used them. We also believe we saw a little animal scurry across the floor on 2 occasions.I feel it could have been a better experience than what the rating stated.

Thank you for your feedback, the housekeepers have kept that in mind. There are always paper towels in the kitchen and there was a fresh roll on the counter provided at check in. Not sure about the dishes in the dishwasher as it was run just before you got there. There is also a broom and dustpan in the entry way closet. I was home as well and had given my personal number if there were any issues but was never contacted. Also, please keep in mind if bringing your dog, let the host know that it barks very loudly at the smallest sound. Thank you for choosing Riverwatch. Safe travels in the future.

Chad is born and raised in Vermont, I have been here in Milton for close to 6 years. We love the property for so many reasons, the tranquility, the landscape, and the beautiful energy that surrounds us. We have recently added goats, ducks and chickens. They're all very sweet and quite entertaining. This home is also associated with UVM rowing and local rowers. During the rowing season you will see students and locals out on the river training. We love our home and truly enjoy sharing it with others.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

From the river access to the mature fruit trees this place is special. The home is filled with history being built in 1820 and in a neighborhood of many historic homes. The sunsets on the river are amazing. The soil is epic for growing flowers and veggies. Not to mention the close proximity to St Albans and Burlington. Just a hop skip and jump to some of the best skiing in the east as well.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

There is something special about a 1800's farmhouse that isn't available in the halls of a hotel. Not to mention the friendly pups, goats and chickens. The river access is amazing as well and we have over 80 ft of dock that we share with the University of Vermont crew team. The river is 5 miles of amazing paddling, swimming and fishing that leads to Lake Champlain. Tranquil and quiet but with an easy commute to town. You can have the best of both worlds. That feeling of stepping into a simpler time. A place to read and relax or truly enjoy nature.
