Sugar Cane - Florida Keys tropical retreat. Newly renovated!

We have just completely renovated this condo at Ocean Pointe and it's Insta-worthy. Every detail has been designed and considered. Sugar Cane is conveniently located near the best of the Florida Keys - close to Islamorada and Key Largo. The property boasts a large outdoor pool with pool bar, hot tub, oceanfront beach, boardwalk, boat ramp, marina, tennis courts and children's play area.

Sugar Cane has a beautiful new kitchen with bar seating for 4 people. The balcony has seating for 2 and overlooks a natural mangrove area perfect for bird watching.

We manage Sugar Cane ourselves and live nearby so we have local knowledge of the area and are very responsive.

Super clean, spick and span! This place is a one-bedroom condo in Ocean Pointe Resort. From the listing, I was expecting an older, single-family home that had been renovated. I was pleasantly surprised! Resort has a small beach, a dock, a boat launch, small restaurant/bar with views of the ocean, huge heated pool and hot tub, pickleball courts, and parking places for your boat. A real find!

We had a beautiful time at Sugar Cane! The property is beautifully renovated and fashionably decorated. It was also very well stocked with coffee, creamer, trash bags and laundry detergent
the items many owners skimp on. We would be very happy to stay at this property again!

Tavernier get-away

This condo was perfect for our short stay. We like to cook at home for some meals, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes/pots & pans for cooking. We didn’t use the pool, but we enjoyed the beach pier for some decent sunset views. Everyone in the condo neighborhood was friendly and welcoming, and the surrounding roads/neighborhoods were great for a morning walk/run. The sunrise views from Harry Harris Park (in the surrounding neighborhood) were spectacular.Overall, a great place to stay!

Clean comfortable and convenient

Place was quiet, and the beach within the Ocean Pointe condo complex was a nice asset. Did not use the pool, but looked great for kids. Well decorated. Not a ton to do nearby, otherwise - not walkable to other places. But a nice base for the upper keys, very comfortable and clean.

Just Perfect!

We absolutely loved this property! The listing is spot on. I loved everything about it and the hosts were most welcoming and helpful. I am very grateful that I was able to spend my 50th birthday in the perfect place and in the nostalgic Florida Keys. I grew up visiting almost every weekend. This weekend was so special. We will definitely have to visit again! Wholeheartedly, grateful!

Another Keys Trip

Had a great trip, place had have single essential item we needed for the week. Bought a couple of large noodles for the pool, left for the next group. Ate at some great spots & bought fresh shrimp a few times. Traffic was pretty bad with the water main breaks but we enjoyed the wonderful pool most days. Only wish our view was of the oceanfront but we survived.

Great place!

This condo is super cute, very clean, and comfortable for two. The hosts provided everything you’d need to cook in the spacious kitchen. The bedroom was small with a comfortable bed, the bathroom is big and beautiful. They provide soap but be sure to bring your own toiletries. We didn’t use the washer/dryer but there was one in the unit. Overall the unit was perfect, the location was okay- a little north for us with no beach views from the room. Hosts were super commutative and friendly. Overall I’d highly recommend this unit if your not requiring ocean views.

Cute condo, very clean and comfortable. Check-in was very easy and communication with host was prompt and helpful, they even sent me a link about the area since this was our first time visiting the keys. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as nice as we would have liked, but were able to use the pool our first 2 days, the pool area was clean, plenty of loungers & they even have a snack/drink bar. There is a restaurant on site, we didn’t eat there, but others we talked to said the food was very good. We did have a drink there our last evening & I wish I could remember the bartenders name, but she’s a master mixologist & a lot of fun. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay here.

Beautiful place in a quiet peaceful location

We loved our experience staying at this property. We’d never been to the keys before and the condo itself is exactly as advertised, clean with luxurious touches like a well equipped kitchen and soft fluffy towels. We truly had the best time.

Keys Getaway

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. The place was spotless and had all we needed. Very cozy. The pool was very nice and just around the corner. It has a bar. The hot tub was under maintenance but we didn’t mind. We chose to leave to enjoy a few beaches since the beach located on the property is just ok. However, there is a small cafe located by the marina/beach where we enjoyed a couple of delicious drinks. We would definitely recommend this place. In addition, we had a delicious dinner at Snooks and enjoyed a day at Sombrero beach on Marathon Key.

A very nice condo!

My family of four enjoyed our stay at Ocean Pointe. The condo is very clean, with nice amenities. My sons had a blast swimming in the pool. We also liked the convenient location. We enjoyed a Mangrove Kayak tour out of Tavernier, and lunch at Calypso's was phenomanal!

Relaxing Stay

We had a very relaxing stay at this location. The pool was awesome and a very short walk. The rental was very relaxing and had all the amenities we needed. Next time in the area I would definitely stay again. The bed and couch were comfortable and had a nice relaxing beachy feel to the place. It is located near plenty of restaurants and activities. Great place to stay!!!

Here is the process to request dockage:
After booking the condo reservation, fill out a Marina Reservation Request and upload all required boat documentation in order to reserve a spot in the Marina.

Ocean Pointe can only confirm and assign slips and dry parking 4 weeks before the guests arrival date if the boat is 22' and under and 2 weeks if their boat is 22' and over. They can accept all requests at the time of booking. All requests are processed in the order in which received.
Once a boat reservation is requested and all documents are approved by Ocean Pointe, you will receive a PayPal invoice shortly after. July is our high peak period and busiest time.
Reservation Rates/Fees:
‱ Wet slips:
$4.00/foot of registered length per night + tax during season (March 15 – Sept 15 & December 15 -Jan 15)
$3.50/foot of registered length per night + tax during off-season (Jan 16 – Mar 14 & Sep 16 -Dec 14)
$5.00/foot of registered length per night + tax on holidays (Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July Weekend and Labor Day Weekend)
$6.00/foot of registered length per night + tax during lobster mini season (Defined as Monday-Friday)
‱ Trailer parking fees are $50 per night + tax. Holidays and Lobster mini season are an additional $15.00/night + tax.
‱ Monthly stays for trailer parking are $300 plus tax per month.
Monthly slip rentals for vessels up to 22’ in length are available for $1500/mo (if space is available). For boats over 22’ but under 28’ the cost is $2000/mo. For a monthly slip rental 25% of the first month’s rental is required as a deposit. The reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of the deposit. Notice of cancellation is required at least two weeks prior to arrival date for cancellation with refund. Any cancellation made less than two weeks prior to arrival will result in forfeit of the deposit.
