Cozy Studio Cottage w Fast WiFi near Lake

This is an affordable Michigan cottage that sleeps up to 2 people. It has window A/C unit, gas furnace, keyless & contactless entry, complete kitchen, outdoor space, and comes professionally cleaned and sanitized with fresh linens, towels, coffee station with grounds, and basic soaps.

We have updated many parts of the cottage (see pictures) and continue to do so, however the cottage will show its age and character at times. If you are looking for a white-glove experience, this may not be the best option for you. However, if you are looking for a clean , comfortable, & affordable space, very close to beaches and well-positioned between Saint Joseph & South Haven (in a quiet area of Hagar Shores), with all of the amenities of a home, this is a great option for your stay!

This smaller yet restful and pleasant studio apartment sleeps 2 guests on a new queen bed and is fully furnished. Full Kitchen, gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, on demand hot water, and yes, coffee pot. Make yourself at home!

Enjoy an evening around the fire pit or a cat nap in one of our hammocks. Sitting on 3/4 acre; there is plenty of open space to enjoy for outdoor activities.

Located 20 minutes from South Haven and 15 minutes from St. Joseph. The Roosevelts are located on M-63. Public access to Lake Michigan is approximately 1 mile from our property. Come and go as you please. Key code access on the door and Wifi access.

Known for its sandy beaches and dense woods, Hagar Shores is conveniently located right north of Saint Joseph and just south of South Haven. There is a pizza & burger place right across the street that is walkable. There is also a Dollar General about a 1/2 mile up the road for any last minute needs.

The cottage sits right off of two lane highway M-63. M-63 (Blue Star Highway) offers the scenic route connecting St. Joseph and South Haven. Along this route you will have convenient access to free public beaches , state parks and bike trails. While our area is generally a quiet location, the convenient Blue Star Highway may have peak times of road noise.

Daily laundry service and house keeping is not provided. Each guest will be provided with 1 towel, 1 hand towel and 1 one wash cloth for the duration of their stay. Please provide your own towels for the beach. Hand soap and dish soap is provided but not shampoo or conditioner.

Perfect place for a get away!

I stayed here with a girlfriend of mine and it was the perfect size for our needs. We loved how close we were to the public beach and South Haven! The property was clean and easily accessible. The beds were comfy, too! I would definitely stay here again!

This Cozy Cottage was the prefect home base for our trip to Michigan. It was convenient to the places we wanted to go and was very comfortable to come back to at the end of the day. It is older and has been well used but that adds to its charm. We will stay here again and can recommend it for its charm and reasonable price.

Late September last minute get away

The Cottage was perfect for our last minute get away. Had everything we needed and a great restaurant right across the street. The public beach access just up the road was perfect to catch a sun set. Host communication was really good and offers many great suggestions on places to eat and things to do. Would for sure stay here again.

Cottage C was perfect for 2 people. We loved that it had a small table to play card and dice games and enjoy a few snacks. The location was great! Close to the beach and a lot of shopping. My only wish was that the windows would open so we could enjoy that beautiful Lake Michigan breeze! We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.

Satisfaction Guaranteed!

This was our 2nd stay at this property, and we will be back next year! The property is exactly as described— very comfortable, attractively decorated, with just what we need for our vacation. We love the location; it’s so easy to get around to area sites, beaches, rest, etc. The property host, Drew, is courteous, helpful, and very responsive to our emails/contacts. The price is good, the cleanliness is great, it’s not the most modern of accommodations— which I actually prefer, because it has a cozy feel.

It was a nice quiet little get away, not far from the beach and things to do.

Overall nice clean place. Everything we needed, already there. Would of liked the yard a bit more conducive to sit out with a bit of privacy., especially in the back. How do the outside lights work?

Cute little cottage

The place is as described and has just about everything you'll need. Also close to freeway access but still quiet and intimate. Tv worked well, heat worked well, shower and hot water worked well. The only issue I had was when I was "checking out" ai was woken up by what seemed to be a contracter crew working on improvements at 9AM. I pqcked up my stuff and went to walk out the door and as soon as I did they were using a circular saw and the wood chippings flew all ovee my face ans clothing. I had saw dust all over my clothing and had to shake myaelf off for 10 minutes. They didnt apologize or mention it. I just kept it moving. Overall a nice, good location, cheaper than most option.

My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at the cottage! I was impressed by how clean everything was. The beds were comfortable, and I really liked how there was coffee and firewood provided. Cute Cottage Close to the beach

I picked this place randomly because I wanted a small place close to the beach and it was perfect for our needs. This was a quick 24 hour getaway with my cousin to just talk, relax and enjoy the beach. The place is small but updated and clean. Yes, the bones are old but Andrew has done a great job of updating it and making it useful. Check in and out was easy, Andrew provided a great list of activities in the area. This place is nothing fancy but we loved the vibe and location. Hagar Shores beach was small and private and close and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. There are quite a few stairs to get to the beach but that made the beach area extra special.

Great for a friend get away

My bestie and I made a weekend out our stay. The closest beach was nice and uncrowded. We were able to get to fun activities nearby (good food, yoga, wineries). The air conditioning worked well and overall a great place to stay for two friends.

The sandy beaches, small town charm, plethora of wineries, relaxed lake setting, and beautiful sunsets are only a small sample of what drew us here. Finally, a couple of years ago, we were able to move permanently to the area and call Southwest Michigan home. This property reminds us of the cozy cottages that we used to stay in when travelling to this area. Built decades ago and newly renovated, this cottage offers all of the amenities you need while reserving the relaxed, quaint setting that you yearn for when visiting the lake.

There are many outdoor offerings at the cottage, including a fire pit, hammocks, picnic area, and corn hole boards.
