Delightful apartment stay

We had a lovely time in Medina - there was a lot to do within walking distance, and many parks to visit within driving distance. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the host was accessible and responsive when we had a question. We used the kitchen while we were there and had everything we needed. Would love to stay here again and explore more of Medina!

Quiet and private, which is exactly what I needed. You'll probably smack your toes on the baseboards, leaving the bedroom, but otherwise a great place to stay in a beautiful part of the country.

This house is antique, and still has some of the original interior trim and window fasteners. The owners have put a lot of work into it.

Great little apartment

My husband and I were in Medina for a college reunion this weekend and stayed at this property. The owner was great at communicating when we asked about early check in. It's a private upstairs apartment in her home (with private entrance) and in a very nice neighborhood. Simple, small and clean -- exactly what we needed for our stay.

Very comfortable. Host was available and keen to help. Nice neighborhood and easy to access. Lovely deck to sit on. Steep stairs up to the apartment that might not be good for some, and if you don't like barking dogs, this apartment won't suit you but this didn't bother us.

Nice Apt

Older home, but very convenient. My only comment would be to warn people that the stairs leading to it are narrow, and steep. Apartment is small, but all I needed. There is no clock in the bedroom, so if you need an alarm, come prepared.

We are a retired 70 couple who chose this property as a mid-way base camp to return to after bicycling a section of the Erie Canal/Empire State Trail each day between Buffalo and Rochester. It turned out to be a safe, quiet place to relax in after each day's ride and get an early night's sleep for the next day. Off-street parking behind the house felt like our bikes were safe from street traffic. The natural, renovated farmhouse-style reminded me of summers at Grandma's farm -- everything we needed and no unnecessary fancy frills. We appreciated the luxurious towels, duvet, pillows, and natural bath products, as well as the good internet service. Furnishings and carpet-less floors were very easy to clean and sanitize. The modern stove and refrigerator allowed us to cook simple vacation meals with the cookware, dishes, and utensils provided. Local eateries gave us the option of more elaborate dishes. There was good lighting throughout and plenty of outlets available. Our host was readily available if needed. She did not have many guest requirements, other than to enjoy our visit. The property access worked exactly as instructed. As described, the apartment is up a flight of 14 stairs, and there are small steps when transitioning from one room to the other. The bedroom and its balcony get morning light (great for early risers) and cool evening shade. Great tub/shower combo. We visited the nearby Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge on a day too windy for riding.

À propos de l’hôte

Hi! I am motivated, determined, and driven. I am currently in graduate school to acquire a degree in speech language pathology. I love to uplift and provide help for others. My pets are also an important part of my life, but most of all, I am fortunate that my children are right by my side every step of my journey. I love to exercise and I'm pushing myself more and more each year. I love running, swimming, biking and working out in the gym. Hosting has brought a lot to my life. I meet so many great people, from all different parts of the world. It has also provided me with the opportunity to go to grad school and for that I am very grateful.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I have owned this property for years and have enjoyed my many close neighbors nearby. My property is in a wonderful and safe part of town. I'm sure you will hear some dogs barking at times as Medina is a farming community and there's not many people here without pets. I have a private driveway and private parking and the entire area behind my house is fenced.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

My house is quite old, built in the 1800's. I've put a lot of hard work into these apartments, they are my "pride and joy." They are by no means complete though, and I can't wait to do more. You will find old decorative hinges on the doors, arched doorways, plaster and lathe, original wood floors and original trims in most areas. These older aspects of the home give it much character but also come with squeaky floors, loose door handles, and doors that expand in the summer which makes them not close without a little shove. I have felt so good in this home since the day it was purchase and hope you feel the same when you stay.
