This VRBO rental was everything you could ask of a rental, everything was clean and fresh. The host Larry was absolutely delightful, and showed us everything about the place at check-in. Jordan Valley Outfitters picks up and drops off across the street from the rental. Be sure to book a very convenient river adventure for yourselves, you won't regret it. You will not regret this rental.Steve

This cabin was exactly what my family and I were looking for. Restaurants, groceries, lakes and plenty of other attractions are very close but still located in a peaceful and relaxing area. Beautifully renovated cabin, clean and well-appointed. The, I think recently added, air conditioning unit was a life saver. It was nice to be able to sit on the patio or by the river and relax in the country setting. Also, it's close enough to Charlevoix, Petoskey, and even Traverse City for day trips. Larry was helpful with recommendations in the area and for any questions we had.

Northern Michigan Getaway

Very nice home & accommodations. Property is overlooking the river. The only negative part is that the home is on a very busy road and it's loud!

Hi Lorrie, thanks again for staying at the cabin. Even though the cabin is back off the road quite aways, commercial vehicles do use the road at times during the weekday work hours, such was the case for you. Hopefully the distraction was only when you were outside, as we don't notice it while inside. There is construction occuring not too far away and the vehicles were using this road. It should subside once construction is done.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Larry Huckle or Lisa Huckle

Image de profil de l’hôte
My wife and I have been married for over 30 years and we live on the same private drive as this cabin. Our home and this cabin are the only two houses on this private drive. If you need anything while visiting, we are literally minutes away. If towing a trailer or boat, you can easily turn around at the end of the drive at our primary residence. This cabin was recently totally remodeled inside and out. Brand new appliances, kitchen, carpeting, tiled floors, all new windows, doors, etc. My grandfather built this cabin in the 1940's and it has been in my family ever since!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

You'll love either sitting in the living room watching wildlife swim by in the river, or watching other canoers and kayakers paddle past you. With its close proximity to all things you want in Northern Michigan, it is a vacation spot you'll be sure to enjoy. Whether fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, golfing, or boating. It's all literally minutes away!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Close enough to all the amenities, yet far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing environment. We own over 1,300 feet of river frontage, and it is yours to explore and enjoy. The Brown Trout are especially active during the "hex hatch", where mayflies are on the river for a month in late June through July. Steelhead in the winter, with Rainbow and Brooks further up in the headwaters and tributaries. The Jordan River is designated a Natural River by the DNR and is protected. No other homes can be built within 200 feet of the river! This home is grand-fathered in.
