Maison calme et isolée de 3 chambres et 3 salles de bain située à l'embouchure de l'East River à Port Haywood (à quelques kilomètres de la ville de Mathews). Regardez les magnifiques couchers de soleil depuis l'arrière-cour et le grand quai privé. Pêchez, crabe ou utilisez le quai flottant nouvellement installé pour lancer des kayaks ou des planches à pagaie. Séjour minimum de 2 nuits requis.

La maison dispose de 3 chambres (1 lit king, 1 lit queen et un jumeau avec un lit gigogne), 3 salles de bain complètes. Il y a aussi un canapé-lit dans la tanière qui se transforme en lit double. La maison peut accueillir confortablement six personnes (dont 2 enfants dans le lit gigogne double). Le canapé-lit gigogne peut accueillir 1 à 2 personnes supplémentaires, mais nécessitera l'utilisation de la salle familiale / den comme chambre à coucher, ce qui limitera l'accès au patio arrière.

La maison comprend AC / Heat et générateur de toute la maison, cuisinière électrique, laveuse / sécheuse, réfrigérateur, micro-ondes et câble / Wifi. Un deuxième poêle est dans le garage pour cuire à la vapeur des crabes pris sur le quai!

Élue l'une des 50 premières petites villes d'Amérique, Mathews ne possède pas un seul feu de circulation, mais possède un centre-ville mis à jour avec des boutiques, des restaurants et des œuvres d'art. Mathews et ses environs ont de nombreux points d'intérêt récréatifs, y compris le phare de New Point Comfort, le quartier historique du palais de justice, les jours de marché annuels, le marché hebdomadaire des agriculteurs, ainsi que de nombreux magasins d'antiquités et restaurants uniques. Un trajet de 5 minutes (ou vous pouvez faire du vélo) vous amène à Bethel Beach Nature Preserve et son littoral préservé (parfait pour les promenades le matin ou le soir) situé directement dans la baie de Chesapeake.

Lovely visit!

Lee’s home is beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. We loved our time watching birds and boats, talking, and relaxing. We were also able to visit and enjoy the nearby Bethel Beach Nature Preserve. Such a great respite in a serene location.

Great location to unwind. Appreciate the ability to enjoy the water/sunset view from the screened porch, breakfast nook, and formal living room. This property also has an excellent dock for fishing and crabbing.Photos/descriptions are accurate and the house is well stocked and clean.Excellent experience working with the owner throughout from start to finish. This was the second time we've stayed at this house, and once again, it was great. I even said to my wife that this would be the kind of house I'd buy if we got a river house. I can tell the owners have taken great care to make sure the space is clean and everything a guest needs is there.

Stunning, clean and comfortable property

My husband, myself and our 14 mo daughter recently spent three days at this house and had a fantastic time. As others have said, the place exceeded expectations. It was perfectly clean and well-appointed and served as a perfect base for us to explore the bay beaches nearby. We especially enjoyed time on the dock and screened porch, and had everything we needed. We would absolutely rent again if we are headed to the area!

Beautiful House, Better Host

The house was beautiful, with many activities to do around the house. The private pier was very nice, and the entire facility was splendid. Lee was a great host, and it was easy to communicate. We look forward to coming back sometime next year!

Relaxing weekend

Your home is very spacious and the views are wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on your beautiful dock reading and listening to the wonderful sounds of the Osprey, which were everywhere! You are close to the town of Mathews and we always love going to Richardson's and Southward.

Beautiful, clean and homey

We stayed here over the holidays and felt like it was a great home-away-from-home. The views were lovely and the home itself was clean, inviting and cozy. We would definitely stay here again. Our only complaint would be the trash drop-off at the end of our stay, as it is a significant distance away from the property and pretty inconvenient to fit into our travel plans. Otherwise, great stay!

Best Relaxation ….

We’re a family of 5 adults and a toddler. Perfect place to disconnect from business of life. Home was clean, homey and well cared for in every area. Dock was great spot to watch beautiful sunsets, dolphins and fly a kite. Host was responsive and welcoming. Definitely a win.

Sunsets exactly as advertised!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun weekend. The house is clean and comfortable with amazing views of the river. We really appreciated that we weren't right on top of the neighbors. It made it feel very private. We spent our evenings out on the dock watching the phenomenal sunsets, laughing about the little crabs running around and watching the birds fly by. The owner was very friendly and responsive. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Beautiful view. Quiet and peaceful.

We loved sitting on the screened-in porch seeing and hearing the birds. The woods are dense- tall pines and lots of undergrowth. The air is refreshing and when we stayed in July it was very warm and humid. Mathews county is quaint and homey- like going back in time. The house is in a quiet and somewhat remote location. Accommodations are comfortable and all rooms are on one floor. Definitely a place for relaxation!

Secluded bayside retreat

Lee Folsom's place on Mobjack bay was the perfect getaway location for enjoying the water, relaxing amid the pines, and soaking up the beauty of the surroundings. The house was very comfortable, spacious, and well-apportioned. The screened in porch was perfect for enjoying the summer evenings bug-free, while the bedrooms were comfortable and clean, as were the three bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we could have needed to cook, too. The property has a large lawn with nice grass in the rear facing the bay, while the dock was sturdy and perfect for sunbathing or reading waterside. Highly recommended---bring a kayak/canoe/etc. if you have one!

This property is beautifully positioned on the water and is clean, welcoming, and well maintained.

The new dock is just gorgeous. We enjoyed being able to enter our kayaks into shallow water. We had several special encounters with wildlife including the baby bunny in the front yard who greeted us when we arrived. We saw an eagle, an otter playing near the dock early Saturday morning, and an amazing number of rays swimming under our boats just west and around the bend. We enjoyed having a front row seat for the powerful front that moved in on Saturday evening. The screened porch is very comfortable for this activity. The only improvements I would suggest would be to make the house more accecible for folks that don't need a wheel chair but need a few adjustments. Examples of adjustments include handrails on both sides of steps to safely get up and down into the house and something sturdy to hold on to in bathrooms and showers. Overall, the house was perfect for us. Thank you for letting us share it with you!! Carroll Garland

This home offers fantastic views of the Mobjack Bay at the mouth of the East River. In the evenings the patio, dock, and backyard are witness to some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. There are hawks, bald eagles, and ospreys that all nest nearby. Our guests and friends from all over the country have commented on our home's wonderful setting and how quiet and peaceful it is. In season, there are blue crabs galore, and fish in abundance. This is a wonderful place to simply relax.
