Come relax in this cozy 4 bedroom / 3 full bath cottage on Lake Hartwell. There is plenty of outdoor seating to soak up the sun and enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Hartwell with stunning sunsets. Head down to the covered dock just steps away on a level lot on big water. Explore the cove just around the corner in a kayak. Our dock is on big water with over 9' of water depth at both ends. Dock is oversized for plenty of seating, and an access ladder to the water.
Inside is an open living and dining room with a well stocked kitchen. Living area has comfortable seating with Smart TVs and Spectrum TV and high speed internet service. Dining area has seating for 8. There is a bedroom with queen and television on the main level. There is also a full bath. Upstairs is the master with king bed with and television. The master has a private balcony to enjoy morning coffee on. There is also an attached master bath. There are two additional bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each room that share a full bath.
Amazing sunset views can be enjoyed from virtually any spot in the house.
When you're not on the lake enjoy ping pong, corn hole, horseshoes, many other games to choose from.
This cozy cottage is in a peaceful area, but just 10 minutes away from shopping and restaurants. Clemson is just 10 miles, Anderson University is 18 minutes, downtown Greenville is 30 minutes, Atlanta is 2 hours, and a short boat ride to Green Pond Landing. Perfect for families, girls weekend, and get together with friends.
There is also a detached carport to park 2 cars and a driveway to park 2 additional cars.

My stay wasn't a vacation. We had to leave our home in the next county while floors were refinished after water damage--right before Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised that the home was decorated for Christmas. That little bit of extra care was a comfort to me.The regular amenities were lovely as well. Karen was very responsive as a host. And the sunsets did not disappoint.Just an FYI--the inside staircase is circular. The outside staircase must be used for getting larger luggage in and out of the upper floor. Fortunately, the outside staircase is well-built, with non-slip treads and a functional railing. (These are features of which I am more conscious since a housemate slipped on outdoor stairs at a different vrbo a few months ago.) There was a light rain the day I moved out at Lake Hartwell, but the stairs were perfectly safe.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is newer and very nicely decorated, with big windows providing great views of the lake. All cabinets in the kitchen were labeled, which was so helpful. Beyond the basic dishes you would expect, they have a nice coffee maker, wine glasses and nice serving dishes. The deck is fantastic with plenty of seating. We enjoyed playing ping pong, horseshoes, and roasting s’mores over the fire pit. The dock is newer and has a table, chairs and a swing. We loved swimming in the lake and using the kayaks and floats provided. It’s really a lovely house and a beautiful spot on the lake. I also liked that it was close to town and only a few miles from the grocery store.

Amazing Stay!

From the minute we booked, every detail was attended to. Easy to set up and communicate with owner. House was spectacular! We celebrated our daughter’s graduation from Clemson and enjoyed boating & fishing on the lake! So many gathering spots with beautiful views. Every lawn game you could think of. The Sharps know how to entertain!

Great place on the lake. Plenty of room, clean, and very close to the lake. Some of the best sunsets you will get anywhere on Lake Hartwell. Also has a nice dock for sun bathing or a boat. Will stay here again for sure!

Wonderful Lake and Sunset Views

Even better than pictured. House was clean and nicely furnished. Only a short, easy walk down to the dock and lake. Wonderful views and easy accessibility to lake. Owner had lots of rafts, etc. for use on the lake and plenty of outdoor seating. Would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this beautiful home on the water!

We had a wonderful week at the Sharp Shack and could not have asked for a better host or property. The home was so comfortable and well stocked, with many small special touches. The beds were extremely comfortable, the showers awesome and the kitchen fully equipped. The location was perfect, being close enough to town to run quick errands. The dock faces west so we enjoyed fabulous sunsets! I would give this home and host ten stars if possible.

Wedding Weekend

Stayed at the "Sharp Shack" for the weekend to attend a wedding in town. Upon arrival, the house was so clean and so well organized we were beyond impressed! Karen has thought of everything, and has everything you would ever need to relax and have an amazing stay. House was cozy and just the perfect size for our family, and the dock and lake we occupied probably every moment we were awake and at the house. Great weekend!! Thanks so much!

A great house and host!!

We stayed at this lovely lake house for Clemson’s Alumni Weekend. It was a perfect house for our group of adult children/family. Karen is super organized, making sure everything is clearly labeled and instructions are readily available (I especially appreciated the step by step instructions for the coffee maker!). The house was super clean and all the necessities were supplied. Lake Hartwell was so peaceful and was a perfect place to unwind after being on campus. The views from the house were awesome and my husband and son spent time fishing off the dock. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and cozy blankets. Loved our stay. Would absolutely recommend!!

Wonderful cottage!

The "Sharp Shack" was perfect for us. The cottage was clean, very comfortable and stocked with many amenities, especially rainy day games, yard games and outdoor activities. Lake Hartwell's draw for us was the fishing, as it's too early to fish in upstate NY in late March. So many places to chase fish! Every nice day that we weren't in the boat, we spent time on the dock or the deck, perfect places to enjoy the lake and the beautiful sunsets. Karen was very responsive to the questions we had and easy to work with. We're already looking forward to next year!

Wow we really loved this property

This place is great. Location seems secluded even though there are homes next door. Very convenient to local businesses and restaurants. 20 min to Clemson. House seems like it was recently renovated and nice touches all around. Very clean and organized. Porches are amazing place to watch the sunset. Kids loved the ping pong table and corn hole boards. Awesome dock to hang out on and watch boats go by. Owners are really nice folks that communicate very well. I had one question about one of the TVs and had a phone call within minutes. Overall this is an awesome property if you want to just chill out by the lake. I would highly recommend

GREAT Location and the views are spectacular!

We had a wonderful time and LOVED the house and location. We arrived to some yummy fresh chocolate chip cookies from a nearby bakery. So thoughtful! I was a little nervous being on big water and not a bay, especially being a holiday weekend, but it really wasn't an issue. If that's how busy Lake Hartwell can get then we are sold! I LOVED how close the home is to the water yet there is plenty of grass area to play games and have a fire with the firepit. My absolute favorite space was sitting on the master bed reading with a glass of wine in the afternoon and looking out the massive windows at the sparkling lake. So peaceful! My family has done A LOT of VRBO properties (it's the only way we can travel having 3 boys, two of which are special needs). Out of all the properties we have done I would say this was outfitted the best. What I mean by that was all the little details like KCups, sugar, salt and pepper, soaps, sponges, etc. The fridge isn't standard size so having access to the YETI cooler under the patio was a huge help. We kept all the drinks in the Yeti and it kept them very cold for days. I really appreciated how organized the storage area under the house was. They had so many amazing toys and games including inflatables, spike ball, checkers, jenga, a hammock and so many others! That floating foam pad was our absolute favorite thing!!! We played on that everyday and it made the water so much more fun for my boys. Also the array of sizes of lifejackets was a huge help and we were able to find ones that fit each of our boys. Such an amazing place and the pictures just don't do this place justice.

Absolutely adorable!

We came down for a Clemson game and stayed the weekend and just fell in love with this property! There were several thoughtful add-ons that made us feel very special! We would definitely rent here again. The host was very easy to communicate with also! It was about a 23 minute ride into Clemson but very easy.

Beautiful Lake House

Amazing rental on Lake Hartwell!

Amazing property! Karen made us feel so welcome and she was so thoughtful with all the little details and comforts. The first floor bedroom and bathroom were perfect for my parents, who have difficulty navigating stairs. We rented a pontoon boat for two days from Big Water Marina. It fit perfectly in the covered boat slip behind the house. My kids had a blast fishing and exploring all that Lake Hartwell has to offer. Thanks again for a wonderful stay! - Kim Puzio and family
