Sandbridge Beach Retreat avec de grands porches filtrés

La maison est située sur la «troisiÚme rangée» de Sandbridge. C'est une courte promenade de la plage. Sandbridge a une plage de sable blanc et de surf amusant. Ce n'est pas trop rude, mais il y a beaucoup de vagues pour faire du boogie et du surf. Piquez votre parapluie et profitez de la journée.

Les plafonds cathĂ©drale et les grandes fenĂȘtres offrent une atmosphĂšre ouverte et en plein air. Des murs en cĂšdre et des planchers de pin bruts. L'espace de vie s'ouvre sur un passage couvert avec moustiquaire. Le breezeway a des brises de mer merveilleuses et des zones ombragĂ©es tout au long de la journĂ©e. Beaucoup de meubles de pont en fait un endroit merveilleux pour se rĂ©unir. Chambre des maĂźtres / salle de bain (QB) est hors de la zone de vie principale. Chambre 2 (QB) et Chambre 3 (2 ensembles de lits superposĂ©s tw) et 2Ăšme salle de bain sont sĂ©parĂ©s de la partie principale de la maison par le breezeway. Il y a aussi une terrasse cĂŽtĂ© ocĂ©an avec une table et des chaises et un parasol. C'est un endroit idĂ©al pour bronzer, et est ombragĂ© et frais le soir.

Situé sur un grand terrain de sable entouré de graminées, de bayberry et de myrte de cire, la propriété a une atmosphÚre isolée et de plage. Profitez de l'observation des oiseaux et des magnifiques couchers de soleil sur Back Bay.

Family vacation

This was our 2nd year staying at this vacation home. Plenty of room for 8 family members. Lots of kitchen items and the pool is great! 2nd bathroom is a bit small. Easy walk to the beach.

Perfect for our family

The house had a unique homey charm. We loved the large living area, and there was plenty of room for us all to enjoy meals, play games, and watch TV. The pool was perfect for a day after hanging out at the very easy-to-walk-to beach. Like other reviews, the grass had burs, so be sure to wear shoes on the lawn. Don was very responsive and addressed any concerns or issues rapidly. We had a great time and made tons of memories.

In short, it's everything Don says it is and more. The kids loved the breezeway that separates the spaces, the pool was amazing and the short walk to the beach was perfect.

Great house!

This was perfect for 5 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room in dining/living room. Kitchen was on small side but well stocked. We grilled every time we ate in so wasn’t an issue for us. The pool was a great bonus!! Walk to beach was an easy distance. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

There were 4 adults and 2 kids (10 and 7) staying here and it was perfect. The pool is beautiful and great for either before or after the beach. Speaking of the beach, it’s a very short walk to the beach with many access areas nearby. Our family took our bikes and enjoyed riding the almost 10 mile trail that starts in Back Bay. The rooms were clean and cool and the “breeze way” was an amazing place to read or just relax in the evening and have a cup of coffee in the morning. We look forward to coming back in the years to come!

Great Stay!

This was an absolutely beautiful and interesting home to stay for our vacation! The lay out was perfect for our daughter to "have her own space". The home could use a couple tiny updates/fixes but nothing that stopped us from enjoying our stay! Definitely a cool, old beachy vibe! Communication with the owner was also easy and quick! Overall 5 stars!

Family trip

Our kids loved the house. We enjoyed the pool so much. Our kids got the biggest kick out of their room being off the breezeway. The beach is a very short walk and we spent a lot of time there as well. My only complaint is the house has some plant somewhere in the yard that leaves very sharp tiny objects outside and we had to always be wearing sandals and watch out for them.

Unique Stay

We enjoyed this vacation even though our weather was less than desirable. Having the pool was great since it was raining a little bit every day and the walk to the beach was nice! The road the house was on was a little busy, so we had to walk our bikes to the street behind to ride, which was fine. The only complaint is a weed that was growing in the back lawn. It had burrs on it that stuck and hurt badly! So we couldn’t play anything in the back unless it was inside the pool area. Hosts communicated great!

Week in Sandbridge Beach 2023

Property was exactly as described. Very clean. Good communication from owners. House had everything we needed for a week. Personally would have preferred a propane grill (we knew it was charcoal when we booked so no surprises there!). The charcoal grill was in good shape and we used it every day, sometimes twice a day! Nice screened in decks with nice views. The pool was amazing! Great size for us (4 adults). There were beach chairs, beach umbrellas provided. The AC worked great in the entire house. Beach access was 1 house away - VERY convenient!! I would definitely stay there again!

Love love loved this place!

We absolutely loved this unique A frame cottage that has a very interesting history! We felt very much at home immediately! After a full day of sun and surf it was nice to come in to the air conditioned shade of the cedar walls and ceilings before having happy hour on the back porch. The house offers a really unique blend of sunlight and shade at all times of the day. The walk to the beach was short; the beach not crowded. This particular beach community is quiet and safe. Supermarkets and farm markets were only 15 mins away. Don was always accessible and very responsive. My $200 deposit was returned immediately! We will be back; the question is how soon!! Kim, NY

Awesome! But difficult layout for very young kids

I have a 4 and 6 year old. The 2 extra bedrooms are detached from the house and are secured by individual dead bolts to securely lock. My kids cannot open or close a dead bolt with a key, so if you have young children and are reading this, make sure you/they will be comfortable locking themselves in their rooms. Would be ideal for pre teens and older! The breezeway has 2 hook and eye locks on the screen doors, so we didn’t feel comfortable leaving them out on the breezeway with the deadbolts unlocked. That being said, the house was charming, very clean and very comfortable! We loved the potted flowers on the breezeway and the pool was wonderful and clean!

We had a great experience staying here! The house is a short, easy walk to the beach. The pool, laundry room, outdoor shower and screened in porch were stellar! You can tell how much the owner appreciates the history of this house. We would definitely stay again!

We bought our house in Sandbridge from friends. We had visited many times and liked the open floor plan with the screened breezeway and high ceilings. We call it 'the house of porches' because it has so many places to enjoy sitting 'outside'. We like the fact that we can enjoy the ocean and bay without leaving the house. The short walk to the white sandy beach beach is another reason we chose the house. This photo was taken of us at the house in 1981, when we were newlyweds.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The house is just a short walk to the wide sandy beach. A beautiful white sand beach, surf, and summer water temperatures in the mid to high 70's give Sandbridge every amenity that makes US mid-Atlantic beaches so enjoyable. It has nice surf without being too rough. The waves are big enough for a fun day of boogie boarding and surfing. If a playground for smaller children is desired, Little Island Park is a mile or so down the road. It has a public guarded beach, picnic areas, a bath house, and playground equipment. If a nature walk is your preference, Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge is just a little further down the road from Little Island.
