In the words of Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence, let these facts be "submitted to a candid world" First off, let me just say that I tried to contact the client 4 times by phone and never received a response. Secondly, the client called the property manager on the first day complaining that the dryer did not work and then immediately asked where the fuse box was. We have never had an issue with the dryer and then magically it was working again the next day? Secondly, the stove is two years old and the dishwasher is three years old so unless you need to replace these appliances more frequently I find the statement that the appliances are old very misguided. The refrigerator unit is about 10 years old but is also a GE Monogram and is over $10,000.00 to replace so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt if it's only issue is closing it properly. The musty smell comes from the humidity from the moisture off the ocean. Once the AC or heat is turned on the mustiness quickly disappears. If there were light bulbs out I apologize but there are replacement bulbs in the closet over the dryer. The grills, both propane and charcoal are not super expensive, but they are functional. The sliding door in the bedroom does not slide as smoothly as the upstairs slider but is at ground level and we prefer if people do not open it and let in critters. The only electrical outlet that looks a little worn is the outside one on the fourth floor patio which has deteriorated due to salt corrosion and we have no use for it. The patio has been beautifully tiled last June. As for the outside shower I will have to check on that over Christmas. I would also like the viewers to know that I am nice and not just over the phone. I tell all of our renters they can call me at anytime and not once did this client pick up the phone and let me know she was disappointed. We go out of our way to provide a great beach front experience by providing a beautiful house with bikes, boogie boards and fishing equipment to all our vacationers. The unit was completely rebuilt in 2005-2006 and the furniture is that old but is all top notch Crate and Barrel or better quality. There are 15 other people have written 5 star reviews for the unit. This one is unwarranted and should not be at the top of the VRBO list. I did ask by phone message for it to be taken down as it upset my family but heard not a word. I feel this review was truly unjust and harsh.
