Welcome to the Modern Moose! At the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountain Range and minutes to the greatest snow on earth!

Location, location, location!

The Modern Moose is the perfect spot for all your outdoor activities and adventures. It is just minutes from world renown skiing, hiking, snow shoeing, climbing, water activities and wildlife viewing all year long.

At the same time it is just 20 minutes from the SLC international airport and walking distance to the grocery store, the park and ride, and even a great nail salon for those wanting a more relaxing time while others are on the slopes.

If location wasn't enough, the Modern Moose, is the perfect amount of luxury and comfort. With 2,800 well designed square feet and an extensive modern remodel, your family/ friends will have plenty of room to relax in the comfort of our home.

Some days you may want to stay home and just hang out.

The Moose can comfortably sleep 12 and has two separate gathering areas where your groups can sit, relax, eat, and enjoy each other’s company.

Each living area has big couches so huge and comfy that once you sit down, you may not want to leave!

Experience plush designer sheets and bedding, down pillows, plush towels, and all the kitchen appliances you will need to cook your meals.

There are 3 large flatscreen TVs with streaming capabilities, a downstairs theater room with Wii, basketball, and our newest addition (my favorite), a classic PACMAN arcade game.

Our brand new back deck has a new sunk in jacuzzi to relax and soak in after a long day on the slopes or hiking.

The EXTRA large capacity washer and dryer will be very handy for families or large groups.

There is plenty of parking at The Moose with a 2 car garage and room for two more cars in the driveway as well as extra parking in the parking lot three houses down.

We do not use a management company. We pride ourselves with personal service and make cleanliness a HIGH PRIORITY. We are always available for contact and will ensure the best service possible!

Great host! This condo is very comfortable and incredibly well stocked. Beds super comfortable. Nice hot tub. Great location - easy walking distance to bus stop going up to Alta and Snowbird … buses about every 30 minutes. Easy walk to Smith’s grocery store. Would absolutely stay here again …

Owners very kind and great communication. Location is absolutely gorgeous and close to a lot of amenities and trails. Comfortable stay for our entire family and great kitchen area for meals and conversation. We would stay again.

It is perfect for larger groups. The kitchen has a large island and table for 10 making it possible to all dine together. The basement is a fun hangout for all ages. Highly recommend this location for an all adult group and/or mixed ages!

Great access point with all the amenities

Great place, very comfortable for two families of four. Location for skiing was excellent! Only downsides were the road noise as it backs onto a busy road and neighbor noise as it is a condo. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

We love it here! 3 times and still charming!

We love the Modern Moose! This is our 3rd stay at this property. Shay, your host is responsive and kind ( although we’ve never had any issues) The home is always cleans and comfortable. The location can’t be beat with quick access to both canyons and this year we even made a day trip to Snow Basin with ease. Thanks for a fabulous place to stay!

Great house, great location

This house is perfect for family gatherings. The kitchen is well equipped. The house is as advertised in its listing. It is very convenient to the Cottonwood Canyon resorts as well as to Salt Lake City. It's well cared for, and we enjoyed our stay.

Modern Moose is a must!!

Everything about our stay at The Modern Moose was excellent! It was the perfect place for our annual friends ski trip. The house is lovely, comfortable and centrally located. An easy drive up the mountain to skiing and a short drive to stores and restaurants. We loved the basement with games, the hot tub and the extremely comfortable couch after a day of skiing. Shay was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back next year!!

Family Ski Trip

Family of 5 adults stayed at Modern Moose for our yearly ski trip. The house was beautiful and had everything we could have needed. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and the hot tub was perfect after days on the slopes. The full sized washer and dryer was so appreciated. The host was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. We will be back.

Perfect vacay home

Beautifully designed, great lay out. The owner Shay is responsive and kind. Great kitchen to cook in. Loved the big table so our whole family could eat together. Basement with games was a big hit. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving at the Moose

We had a wonderful stay at the Modern Moose for the week of Thanksgiving. The house is adorable and was just perfect for us! It is in a beautiful location, it looks just like it does in the photos, it was really spread out and roomy, and we cooked up a storm. It really felt like a home away from home. It was spotless, and seamless as far as figuring things out. Communication with the owner was very timely to answer any of our questions. It truly was a great find! I'd love to stay there again!

Excellent Work Retreat

6 colleagues got together for both productive collaboration and leisure time. The house was spacious, very well appointed and convenient to beautiful hikes. We all agreed we would love to come back to the Modern Moose!

A beautiful condo 20 minutes - or less - from hiking and wildlife

Early August, we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful condo and were especially grateful for responsiveness of hosts/owners. On our hikes we saw moose and beavers, lots of western birds. Highly recommend.

Soccer Tournament Stay

We enjoyed a long weekend stay at the Modern Moose! The house was beautiful and fully accommodated 3 players and their parents! It was clean and fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom items. The condo is also conveniently located within walking distance to an Kroger grocery store and coffee shop! Shay was amazing to work with! Our girls made it out of pool play and went on to play two more days and Shay was flexible in allowing us to stay extra days! We will definitely will be returning to the Modern Moose if the opportunity arises!

We have lived a good portion of our lives on the beach or near the mountains. The mountains always call us back and we returned to Salt Lake City in 2020. We are excited to raise our little guy near the mountains. We love that on the way home from school or work we can take a quick detour up the mountain to throw rocks in the river or go hiking and look for moose. Our little guy started skiing last year at 2.5 and rode the big lifts for the first time this year. So far he loves it as much as we do.

The Modern Moose is located at the base of the Wasatch mountain range within 15-20 minutes of 4 resorts with the Greatest Snow on Earth! (Snowbird, Alta, Solitude & Brighton). The mountains aren't going anywhere and the Modern Moose gets you as close to it as you can be while still being an easy hop to the freeway to head downtown, to Park City, or to the airport. Walk to the grocery stores or on greener days walk just 200 yards to the park and tennis courts or pick one of the many spectacular hikes around. It really is an ideal location and we hope your experience at the Modern Moose agrees.

We love our furry friends too. You are welcome to bring one, but know that there is a $250 non-refundable deposit to help us with any potential damage or concerns with your extra little guest.
Also included is a $2,500.00 Damage Deposit which is fully refundable. Our goal and yours is to return it in full every time. The deposit will cover only the cost to repair or replace any damage to the home, furniture or items damaged or taken during the stay.
