À propos de cet hébergement
Hummingbird House-Step Into History with Comfort and Charm! Walk to downtown!
Welcome to our lovingly updated 1924 Miner’s Cabin—an authentic piece of Nevada City’s rich past, partially updated to offer modern comfort while preserving its original quirky character. If you're looking to soak in the nostalgic charm of this Gold Rush town, this is the perfect place to call home during your stay.
Our house blends rustic vintage vibes with just the right touch of contemporary updates. The kitchen and one of the bathrooms have been refreshed, yet you'll still find charming details throughout that whisper of another era.
**Things to Know Before Booking**
Unique Bedroom Layout – The two bedrooms are connected, meaning you walk through one to get to the other. Perfect for families or close-knit groups but may not be ideal for those needing full privacy. (The back bedroom does have its own private exit to the outdoors.)
Quiet, Long-Term Tenant in Back Studio – There’s a cozy studio in the rear of the property with a single, respectful tenant. The only shared space is the driveway.
We welcome one pet and maybe 2 on a case-by-case basis with a pet fee. If you plan to bring a pet, be sure to read our pet policy before booking.
Also, like many older homes in the area, the cabin doesn't have central air, but it stays pleasantly cool thanks to its shade, two standalone A/C units, and fans in every room—even on those warm summer days!
The Neighborhood:
You’re just a scenic 10–15 minute walk to both historic downtown Nevada City and Pioneer Park. Whether you're here for local festivals, forest hikes, or just a peaceful getaway, everything is close by.
A Note About Atmosphere:
This is a family-friendly neighborhood with a calm, respectful vibe. It’s a space to unwind and enjoy—not a spot for parties. We kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum.
I’m always just a message away for anything you need during your stay—before, during, and after!
**Pet Policy**
Your well behaved single pet is welcome for an additional $60. If you will be traveling with pets please acknowledge you agree to the pet policy when you book. A second pet may be considered for an additional $60 but is not guaranteed. Please tell me a bit about them when you book and specify if they shed or not.
Pets must not be left alone in the house unless they are crated, and not left unattended on the property. Also, keep them off the beds and couches at all times. If they are shedding breeds I prefer if they are not in the bedrooms at all. It is best if you bring your own bed or blanket for them as I do not provide one.
And finally, you are responsible to clean up after them and take responsibility for any damage they may do.
