Speaking of downtime, a vacation isn't complete without tasty meals, so bring along your favorite recipes to prepare in the full kitchen outfitted with all of the appliances and cookware you are used to. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Place is great and clean like the old rustic feel but not to far away to get what you need house is a little crooked but has updated appliances I. Had a great stay and liked the old cabin feel down stairs bed has got to go thought not to be rude but it has seen better days town is small but awesome great food and friendly people would recommend to everyone had a wonderful time and will most likely return

Wish we could have stayed longer

The look of the cabin is awesome. The kids loved sleeping up in the loft. Having the ability to do laundry was key for us and the location was closer than Anchorage to get to Whittier for our glacier tour.

Nice 1 night stay

This was ideal for myself and 3 out of state guests I was touring around. We had just left an RV excursion through the Denali Highway. We were able to shower, do laundry, sleep well and your Whittier, Portage Crow Creek, and the Double Muskie, before heading to my house in the Kenai for Salmon fishing. Nice, clean, comfortable well located.

Cute leaning cabin

This was a cute, old cabin (the whole house is leaning) in a small neighborhood. It felt calm and secluded and had everything we needed for our stay. If you're staying here, definitely check out the short hike to Virgin Creek Falls - it was incredible!

Cabin was an Alaskan themed and in a quiet area and clean. The Listing we booked through had pictures of a sauna as well as access to the laundry, but when we got there both of those options were not permitted. We were excited about the sauna ( which was broken anyway) and that was a huuge reason why I chose this place over the Alyeska Hotel. Communication was prompt as one of the shower drain was clogged and we were asked to not use. We did not sleep in that room either because it was very cold. We wished we stayed at the hotel!

We are sorry to hear you had a disappointing stay at our home. We understand your frustration with the amenities not being available as expected. The sauna is not listed as an available amenity, and we will check the laundry. You were asked not to use the shower in the bathroom due to it possibly flooding the bathroom, and you were compensated for this issue. The prior guest let us know of this issue, and we tried to inform you as soon as possible. We had to schedule a licensed plumber as we tried to get the clog out of the shower and exhausted all of the tools we had. The other bathroom, however, did work and was available for use. In negative weather, the units do feel a little cool. We provide extra heaters for guests if requested; however, the reservation notes do not show that this was reported. Please know that we are always available to assist guests with any issues or concerns if notified. We value your insights as they help us understand the guest experience better. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again.

Great location but outdated cabin

Overall stay in the cabin was pleasant, beautiful rustic cabin feels in an amazing girdwood location. However the property requires major upgrades. The shower in one of the bathroom was not working.

Cozy log cabin

Love the property. Had everything we needed. Just a bit more rustic than pictures provided, but we didn’t mind. Had a very nice stay and would love to come back sometime.

Overall great stay for the price, however the cabin feels outdated and requires upgrades. For example shower was not working in one of the bathroom.
