Over all it was a good stay, but there were minor issues during our stay. The grill had no gas, so we weren’t able to use it. There was a bad issue of ants in the kitchen area, and no hot water from bathroom sink. The backyard was cute and had so much potential, but we wished at least the chairs on the deck were wiped down. The kayaks had caked on dirt and the red chairs around the other fire place had caked on dirt. The hot tub was very nice, but the light on the deck closest to the hot tub didn’t work, so that was kind of annoying when we wanted to go in later at night. It’s a very nice area, close to things, but just be aware of the amount of noise due to it being on a busy road. Thanks again for letting us stay in your home.

Comfortable Getaway

Was looking for a comfortable, family friendly getaway location with some natural elements for a stay with extended family as my own home is really too small to host. My cousin, myself and my kids really enjoyed the house. The hot tub was wonderful, there was a comfortable living space to gather, talk and play games in and there was a charming view of the small lake from the backyard. The host was extremely responsive and was accommodating to our needs and questions. I'd say the only drawback was that because the street the home is situated on is right off a fairly big and highly travelled road there was more traffic noise than would have been ideal. But as long as you are prepared for that going in it's really a wonderful getaway. I'd be happy to stay there again.

The home definitely served our purpose and had a lot of Amenities. Thank goodness the weather was cool enough where we could keep the windows open. I went to go use the wall, air conditioning units and it was black mold throughout them.

Exactly what I was looking for!

This vacation was intended to spend part of our time at the beach in OC, NJ and part exploring Philadelphia. This location was great to accomplish this. We were about 25-30 minutes from OC and about 45-60 minutes from the city. The noise from the highway was noticable but nothing that bothered us. The owner was responsive when I messaged with any questions and I did have to reach out to confirm our stay the day before as technology may have failed us prior to that day. The view of the lake and the back yard area is beautiful. I did get bit up by mosquitoes pretty easily in the yard, so it was nice they had bug spray and other thoughtful amenities available for us to use. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a busy day exploring and the grill was great to have burgers for dinner. We intended to use the fire pit and kayaks but ran out of time. Thank you for opening your lovely lake house and allowing our small dog to be a guest as well. We enjoyed being able to take her with us!

Perfect little getaway on a lake!

I could not recommend this properly enough! A few friends and I spent the weekend hoping to take a step back from life and enjoy the serenity of the outdoors. This place had everything we could’ve wanted including the views, location being not too far away from the beach and a clean place to stay. I was a little hesitant at first based on some previous reviews but don’t be fooled, this property was lovely. The host Christen, was so kind to work with and was extremely accommodating. The place was in great shape, had plenty of room and was fully stocked on everything you could ever need. If you are looking for the perfect mix of lake life but still having access to the beach/things to do, you have come to the right place. I know everyone in my group was extremely pleased and will definitely be wanting to return to this little cottage on the water. You will not be disappointed.

Cozy getaway

This was a last minute trip for us. With our kids’ busy schedule we suddenly found ourselves with a free weekend and decided to get out of town. We wanted a quiet and comfortable retreat on the lake and this place delivered. Minus the quiet - the highway noise was pretty bad the first night. The place just needs a little attention. Having no handles on the kitchen cabinets was a bit frustrating. The bathroom fan sound was horrible and the switch is falling out of the wall. The keurig looked brand new but wouldn’t work for us. The screen door to the deck was damaged. Overall the place Is very cute and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the deck and the kayaks. And we got a movie or two in in the cozy living room. Oh and the master bed was extremely comfortable!

Overall, great stay

Overall, the house was clean, spacious enough for us and quiet. It was close to everything and was easy to drive to. It was a little frustrating not having a code sent to us prior to our arrival to enter the home after traveling all day and it was also confusing/frustrating that the checkout time sent to us and listed was 11 am and we were not informed until 8 am on our checkout date that they wanted us to checkout by 10 am
 besides that, it was a cute house that was clean that had everything we needed. Would more than likely recommend to someone else.
