Nightly, our home can be less expensive than individual rooms for business travelers, depending on your number. And we are 100% restored from the past years' hurricanes - new lanai screen cover, paint and landscaping!
Our open, bright 3800 sq ft home provides multiple areas to spend time together as well as space to spread out. A dedicated desk and work space make working vacations more convenient. Single-floor design provides easy accessibility. There is a small loft up the spiral stairs perfect for kids or teens.
Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, you'll find peace and quiet. Still not far from beaches, parks, restaurants and shopping. Bikes, kayaks, a beach wagon, chairs, toys and towels are all available for your use. At the new and improved Port Charlotte Beach Park across the street, you'll find sand and shade, a public boat launch, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, and a children's playground. If you bring a boat, launch it at Port Charlotte park, come around the point and tie it down on our 45' dock during your stay. Nearby rentals will deliver right to our dock - weather permitting. Charlotte House is within 5 minutes of open/ deep water with no bridges or shallows to navigate, so chartered excursions can pick you up right at the house as well! Some of the best tarpon fishing in the world happens in our back yard. Poles are available for fishing off the dock. Kayaks and life jackets are also available for use. You might even see a dolphin or manatee while you're here!
Charlotte House is both modern and comfortable. The updated kitchen includes a new fridge, dishwasher, ceramic cooktop, double oven, microwave, and both drip and Keurig coffee makers as well as a grinder. Small appliances include a Ninja blender, air fryer, electric skillet, waffle maker, crock pot and hand mixer. The pass through to the screened lanai and the outdoor kitchen makes serving meals by the pool a breeze!
Three dining areas mean everyone can eat comfortably. Two living areas, along with two of the bedrooms, all open to the lanai. When temperatures are mild, the house can be opened to bring the outdoors in.
The screened lanai features a full size pool (heated in the cooler months) with a large deck area, lots of seating, toys, floats, and an outdoor shower. Wifi throughout the house supports multiple users with 2 large screen and 2 smaller televisions (various streaming services and Blu Ray available). The laundry room features a utility sink, large capacity washer and dryer, and space for hanging. Laundry soap and fabric softener are available for your use. Bedrooms and bathrooms contain everything you need including linens, bath and beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath and facial tissue and hair dryers so you can pack light! Kitchen is stocked with trash bags, paper towels, storage containers, and of course dishes, drinkware, bakeware and utensils. We also have an iron and board, an infant pack-n-play, high chair and stroller for those with young children.
If you're looking for a day trip, try Boca Grande Beach - one of the best kept secrets in the area! In just 30 min you can be in the beautiful clear gulf water on the never-crowded white sand beach. In 45 minutes, you can try Englewood Beach. Larger, and with more amenities than Boca, Manasota Key has lots of restaurants and shops, as well as walking trails and nature exploration at Stump Pass State Park. In 1 hour, you can be on Fort Meyers Beach with lots of shops, restaurants and activities. If you like to dine out, we are just minutes away from some great meals - seafood, Mexican, Italian, home-style (we share our favorites in our welcome book!) Watching the sun set on the waterfront is a fantastic way to spend an evening.
