The Space:

Completely renovated 1938 bungalow with plentiful space both inside and out. The home features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living room, dining room, and a private sunroom.



All guest rooms are equipped with memory foam mattresses and smart TV's for our guest's comfort.

Guests have private access to the entire premises including the home, pool, and backyard which exclusively for guests private use. Smart lockbox for contactless check-in and check-out. Guests are able to check-in anytime hassle-free without host interaction. Early check-in and late check-out options are available upon request and availability.



The Neighborhood:

Cottontown is one of Columbia’s first planned suburbs. Established in the late 1890s, Cottontown is listed as the “Bellevue Historic District” in the National Register of Historic Places and is protected as an architectural conservation district by the City of Columbia. Bounded by Grace Avenue, Bull Street, Elmwood Avenue and Main Street, the neighborhood is remarkable as an intact example of one of Columbia’s earliest planned suburbs.



Along with its proximity to Columbia’s downtown business district, it is close to the BullStreet District and the revitalized North Main Street area. Cottontown is a short drive to the Vista, the University of South Carolina, and Five Points, and has easy access to I-26 and I-20.



Getting Around:

Columbia is a driving town with tons of parking everywhere. If you do not have a car, there are rideshare (Uber, Lyft, and Taxi) options which are easy to come by in our area. We provide free on-site parking for up to 3 vehicles at our home.



Other Things to Note:

The pool presents an open and obvious hazard. Please be aware that there is no lifeguard on duty at any time. Running and diving are not permitted, so we kindly ask that you exercise caution at all times. Visible signage is provided as a helpful reminder. The individual who made the reservation is responsible for notifying all other guests and visitors of this hazard.



Guests are required to sign a pool liability waiver prior to check-in.



For liability purposes, this home requires an accurate headcount. Only the number of guests confirmed in the reservation may be on the property at any time during the stay. Additional guest fees apply for reservations exceeding 8 guests.

Great house in an ideal location. We could walk to coffee and dinner and it was just a quick drive to campus. The pool and outdoor space was incredible and we really enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor tv. Highly recommend this property!

I can’t say enough about this property. We were visiting our son, who attends USC. 10 minutes away from campus. Neighborhood was adorable. House was very clean, linens were good, plenty of towels. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need. Appliances easy to use. I cooked for my son and his friends and the pool area is fantastic! Anyone visiting Columbia would be lucky to rent this home. The owner was easily accessible and very nice!

We chose this home because of the pool, backyard amenities, and convenient location, and it exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family of seven.We especially enjoyed spending time in the pool and relaxing in the cabana, which quickly became our favorite features of the property. Our stay at this VRBO was a wonderful experience as we celebrated one of our friends getting married. The home was clean, spacious, and provided plenty of room for our group to relax and enjoy the weekend.There were a few issues we encountered during our stay:•The door code we were initially given did not work, so we had to call the host for a new code. Thankfully, they responded promptly and the replacement code worked.•When we checked in, the host informed us that the pool would be closed for maintenance from 9:00–11:00 a.m. on Saturday. They mentioned this was included in the rental agreement, but we were unable to find it in either the contract or the listing. We avoided using the pool during that time, but no one ever came to perform maintenance. Before swimming, we ended up removing leaves and paper towels from the pool ourselves.•Each bed only had two pillows, and there were no extra pillows available, even for the rollaway beds.•The bathroom towels had an unpleasant odor, as though they may have been left in the washing machine for too long before drying.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought the home itself was very nice. However, a few small touches—such as extra pillows, throw blankets, tissues, and fresher-smelling towels—would have made the home feel more comfortable and welcoming.

Perfect lil’ Bungalow

My family and I used this rental while staying in Columbia, SC for a basic training graduation. The property was clean, which I greatly appreciated. The beds were extra comfortable and the backyard was amazing - a bonus for sure! I would highly recommend staying at this property.

This was a perfect halfway stop on the way to Florida. Didn’t want to drive 12+ hours in a day so we made this fun house our half way stop. Great pool, spacious home very nicely decorated. Ordered pizza from a local brick oven place which was delicious.

Wonderful Place!

The place was immaculate. The pool area is exactly as pictured. My family and I enjoyed the house and the furnishings were modern and perfect. The host was spectacular. We required an item and he delivered very quickly. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

We had a fabulous time at the Cola’s Hideaway. We were in town for a gamecocks football game and did a pregame tailgate using the grill and backyard space. The cabana and the outdoor television were big pluses. The house is in great shape and it fit our needs perfectly. There are also a couple restaurants within walking distance so it was fun to explore the area. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Came a few days early to get organized for sophomore year move in. Was a great spot, minutes to the storage unit and school. The outside pool area was a fabulous treat in between Target runs. Nearby restaurants, safe, quiet neighborhood. Very clean. Will stay here again!

The home and backyard oasis were even more beautiful in person! My son was graduating from Fort Jackson and it was only an 11-15 drive to get there. We had family come down from NY so it was a perfect property for us to enjoy and relax. Everything was clean and looked great!

Soldier Graduating BT, stay here

My son was graduating from Army BT and I was looking for a place that the entire family could stay and enjoy. We couldn't have been more happier with this property, it's everything advertised. The kids loved the swimming pool as the adults were able to sit and relax outside while watching TV and grilling out. I think the only time we were actually inside the house was to go to bed or take a shower. Tim was very responsive to every question I had during the reservation process. I would recommend anyone to stay here, one day or a week, can't go wrong. FYI, soldiers are not allowed to leave post on family day if that is reasoning for visit.
