Family sized comfort near Fort Jackson

This lovely home is conveniently close to all the attractions of Columbia, and so close to Fort Jackson that you can hear the bugles. Whether you're here for work or pleasure, your family will have plenty of room to relax. The house sits atop a hill, surrounded by trees, overlooking peaceful Rockyford Lake, on a terraced lot. The view is best experienced from the deck, where you can enjoy the sunset and watch birds and herons. The screened porch includes a ceiling fan, lighting, and a handcrafted bar. There's even a small firepit on the lower terrace. This is a great area for walking or jogging around the lake.

The home has a large eat-in kitchen where you can create home-cooked meals or use the grill on the deck. The kitchen includes a large refrigerator, cooktop and oven, microwave, toaster, and both a drip coffeemaker and Keurig. Coffee is provided along with some basic pantry items. The kitchen table seats 6, and the formal dining room seats 6 as well. The laundry room and half-bath are off the kitchen.

The family room has a large smart TV, so bring your logins to stream entertainment. There is a built-in desk and office chair for your work needs, and wifi. There is a second living room where you can play board games or read and relax. This is where you can use the sofa bed if needed.

The bedrooms are upstairs. There is a full bath with tub shower. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, 2 large closets, a dresser, and windows that look out on the lake. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, 2 large closets, and the second full bath (shower). Bedroom 3 has an antique queen bed, dresser, and vanity with a large closet. Bedroom 4 has a bunk bed with extra long twins, a large closet, and a small table and bench. All bedding and towels are provided.

The driveway has room for 2 cars. The front door has a smart lock for easy check-in. There is a camera/floodlight over the garage to help you see at night, and for security.
