Excellent Location Overlooking Front St in the ❀ of Historic Old Wilmington, Complimentary Parking, Rooftop Bar w/ Sunset Views, Coffee Shop downstairs, a block to Riverwalk! Surrounded by art, culture, live music, local breweries, cafes, restaurants. Designed in the Steampunk Genre, a true airbnb experience full of fantasy, luxury furnishings, king bed, fine linens, historic heart pine floors & large windows! We had a blast designing “The Aether” & take pride in sharing it with you!
The space
Remodeled Sept 2020 - All of our creativity and love went into making The Aether a unique and luxurious getaway. We decided to create a twist on the port city feel by making it Steampunk influenced. From the portholes, to the ships galley designed with up-cycled furnishings, we created The Aether. We hope you enjoy all the fun details we put into making this a luxurious and fun getaway! Fresh steamed Luxury Linens & Bathrobes await you. Enjoy and relax in comfort as you read the story of Anne Bonny, the most famous female pirate to sail during the Golden Age....Join us in The Aether!

**This listing was completely remodeled after Hurricane Florence damaged the building extensively in 2018, with restoration ending June 2020, and our remodeling completed and re-listed Oct 2020**

The condo is yours to enjoy, there are coin laundry machines located across the hallway. There is an elevator, but it is sometimes out of service.
Other things to note
The condo faces Front Street which is great for people watching and festivals, it may get noisy at night, definitely on Friday and Saturdays. We added thick cellular blinds and heavy black out draperies when we remodeled, and provide complimentary ear plugs for your comfort if needed. :-)

There is an elevator, I can NOT guarantee it will be working during your stay as it is original to the building and prone to being cranky. The condo is on the 2nd floor, there are marble stairs.

We pay for monthly parking in a public garage, with pedestrian access across the street from our building.

Unbelievable location! "Too many" options for bars, restaurants, shopping and activities literally right outside the door. Electric car charging and super conveneient parking right across the street. Will most likely stay here again on our next trip since we just scratched the surface of what the area has to offer. Beautiful comfy condo as well.

The space was beautifully decorated. It was extremely comfortable and close to everything. Fri and Sat nights were loud due to the rooftop bar. Overall a great place!

This location is perfect if you want to take in the vibrant scene of downtown Wilmington and have a very short drive to Wrightsville Beach. We were able to walk to each restaurant we visited, and all were excellent!The property is precisely as advertised, in the heart of Wilmington. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and all linens, utensils, dishes and flatware were of very good quality.I was able to communicate often with the property host without any delays.Parking is very convenient with a garage directly across the street. Even on busy Saturday evening I was able to find a spot.I highly recommend this property, and we look forward to return!- Patrick & Tanya

Last minute weekend getaway

My husband and I were traveling on our motorcycle and we needed a place to stay overnight. This place was perfect. We visit the battleship while we were there. It’s surrounded by many places to eat, so we were able to walk to the restaurant and back. It did however get very loud due to all the college students around but the host provided single use earbuds which did help.

Perfect little spot

Stayed here for Ironman 70.3 North Carolina. Close to everything and right along the run route. Finish line was behind the building. The Aether was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a long weekend. A great getaway in a quaint town. Highly recommend The Aether!

Perfect central location

My friend and I had a wonderful stay. We felt perfectly safe having a night on the town, and could walk anywhere worth being for the nightlife. Absolutely recommend
