A great short trip. Probably my only disappointment was no TV in our bedroom. Guess I didn’t see where that was listed . Theatre was fun.

We absolutely adored our stay in this lovely Cape home. We had everything we needed plus more. Perfect size for our family of 7. Host was so accommodating and responsive. We would absolutely love to stay here again!

This house was perfect for our family of 4 (plus 2 extended family members for part of the stay). I cannot say enough nice things about our host, Kate, who was responsive and kind when I reached out about a VERY minor issue, which was resolved immediately (much faster than it would've been in my own home!). The house had everything we could've possibly needed during our stay in a beach town, we were very comfortable, the energy of the house was warm and welcoming, and it is VERY child friendly. We will absolutely stay here again and again in the future. My family and I agree that we had a perfect vacation here.

We were very satisfied with the property. It had everything we needed no matter the weather... When we arrived on a rainy day, we made use of the unique movie theater set up in the basement to enjoy a cozy night in. When the weather was better later in the week we were a 5min drive from a very nice beach. The fire pit in the backyard was also a big plus for our group - making the fire and then smores was a good memory.

Everything was terrific although I wish I had understood how to turn the air conditioning down I saw the thermostat by the back door and thought we were to leave it alone. I never saw the one in the livingroom until the day before we were getting ready to go. The basement was freezing. We never used the movie theater because it was too cold downstairs. Truthfully though we didn't have anything we were interested in watching.

We had a sister's winter getaway trip to Kate's wonderful home on the Cape. The place was immaculate, beautifully decorated, the kitchen was perfect and the home theater was so fun. Kate is a great host and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend a stay here.

My friends and I had a great stay at the Sweet Retreat! The house was a cute, cozy, and spacious beach house. Enjoyed some grilling in the backyard. Location was perfect. Less than a 10 minute bike to the beach and a quick drive to the Sandbar. Thank you so much Kate!

We really enjoyed our stay and thought the house was adorable and charming inside. The outdoor shower was fantastic, and the front patio was lovely. The host was also very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated.There were just a few things that didn’t quite match our expectations from the description. For a house that sleeps eight, the indoor seating was a bit mismatched, with only the couch and one chair being comfortable for relaxing together. The kitchen was very well stocked, but many of the utensils and cookware were older and pretty worn. The backyard also felt a little unkempt, with a fire pit that was falling apart and some debris/partially burned logs. The bikes and beach chairs were a nice amenity but were quite rusty. The location is also on a busy road and directly behind an Ocean State Job Lot, rather than the neighborhood setting we had pictured.Overall, we had a nice stay and the house has a lot of charm. It’s just always a little tricky choosing a rental without seeing it in person, and a few aspects of the property were different from what we expected based on the listing. Hopefully the feedback is helpful for future guests and the owners.

Hi Linda, Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review. It's very helpful, and we're so glad you enjoyed the outdoor shower, the front patio, and the charm of the house overall! A few notes for future guests, and for you: on seating, you're right that it's tight for a house that sleeps eight. We've tried to add more without losing the pullout couch, but it hasn't worked, so this is actually the push we needed to move to 6 guest capacity (down from 8) next year, which will let us fit more comfortable seating in. We'll also be going through the bikes, beach chairs, and kitchen items this off-season to replace anything that's gotten worn, and doing the same for the fire pit. On location — I can't post the exact address here, but any future guest is welcome to message me directly and I'm happy to send it over so they can get a feel for the area beforehand. We're right near downtown Dennis Port, which our family loves for walking to dinner and running errands, and the surrounding homes are quiet with nothing else visible from the house. Thanks again for staying with us and for taking the time to leave such constructive feedback, Linda!

My family truly enjoyed our stay! Everything was clean and ready! Supplies for beach and bikes were available. Even the grill cooked food to perfection. Perfect week!
