The space was great. However, when raining and you have to walk around the house to get upstairs that is less than ideal. Would be great to have stairs from the carport to get to living area or at least to balcony area (maybe on side).

I've stayed at many VRBO's and this property listing was the most deceptive I've ever seen. The bottom level is filthy and broken up. There is no access to upstairs unless you go outside. Dirty and torn bed down there. Broken floor. Who would use it. Kitchen dirty utensils rusted. The upstairs bedrooms mattress filthy dirty and stained. The refrigerator rusted and dirty. Stove under coils filthy and every time we cooked the house smelled of burning ash. We couldn't use anything until we scrubbed it clean. No pillowcases on upstairs pillows and they were dirty. The deck furniture filthy and covered in bird poop. The only thing they didn't lie about was the view.

Spacious & relaxing

The check in & check out were pretty easy and straight forward. The view is gorgeous and the house is really spacious. We had spotty cell service so the WiFi came in handy. Bring extra towels, if needed, as only 1 towel is provided per guest. FYI - there is no coffee, spices, condiments, foil, etc for cooking, so bring your own. But we were advised of that prior to arriving. The house has 3 stories, however we were only able to utilize the top 2. (Not sure exactly what the bottom is used for but it is furnished.) Also, be aware there are a ton of mosquitos under the carport which is where we unloaded all of our luggage and such. The location is great and the neighborhood is quiet. Overall it was a great place and we had a wonderful and relaxing time here.

Sadly not going to book again. I feel Muss Kittys should have had more concern for my injuries Polite but not very friendly or accomadating. Guest is obviously not a priority. Only the maintenance man was truly friendly and helpful.

Oysters in Paradise

This was paradise to us! We love coming to Rockport and eating fresh oysters but this time we brought two other couples with us and had a blast! The views were amazing, the place was spotless and roomy. Sitting on the deck in the mornings with our coffees, teas and a bit later- mimosas was heavenly!! We loved it! The meals were delish...especially the fresh oysters!!

The house was spacious. We live in a small house so we enjoyed having room and privacy. We enjoy the outdoors so we appreciate we had so many activities to choose from. Rockport Trip

Bring extra towels, they really only give you one/person as they say. The upstairs (very top) floor/bedroom is a little dangerous because the floor is badly warped which is not explained or shown in pictures. No electric can opener. The dryer would not dry even small loads. The property manager said she would put work orders in and address the issues. The lake was only about 3-4 feet deep off the dock and out. We did catch allot of very small catfish so the younger kids had fun but nothing large enough to keep. If your going to fish, go out on a boat in the bay or elsewhere. Overall we did have a good time.

What a view! We enjoyed fishing on the dock and how big the house was. It had all the amenities we needed and I would recommend it to everyone!

Nor perfect but perfect for us

It would appear this property was damaged by the last hurricane and has been completely redone...rather nicely I might say. The only real issue I had was that it was not 100% complete. The entire upstairs and staircase had not had flooring work done (only wooden blanks). This was not in the description which would have been nice to know since my kids like to run around bare foot. There were other small issues like lighting wiring exposed under the kitchen cabinets, no lightbulbs downstairs under the carport and there were no blinds or curtains in the living room and parts of the kitchen. Other than that, the house is very nice and the setup is great for families. Plenty of seating, loved the rockers (everyone was fighting for them), kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The downside, the TV is only setup for Cable. There's no DVD player but HDMIs available (we have a fire stick we used most of the time). The neighborhood is pitch black at night and trying to find the house may be difficult once it gets dark bc there are no outside lights in the front. Rockport beach, HEB and restaurants are roughly 12-15 min away. The following will be helpful if you have small kids: There is no gate on the top deck for the stairs. We had to put up a baby gate to keep the kids from trying to go down the stairs. The main bathroom in the hallway has a full tub but no removable shower heads in any of the baths. The toilet runs in this bathroom as well. They don't lie when they say 1 towel/wash clothe per person so be prepared to wash daily. I did not see beach towels so bring your own. The bay is literally just steps out the back door so keep that in mind if you have small kids. However, my parents caught a lot of drum off the back yard pier/deck. I am not trying to complain, just making note of things I think future renters should be aware of. No place is perfect but we definitely enjoyed our stay. I would rent here again.
