Country Cottage on the Lakeshore--Few Minutes from Beach

Country cottage, sitting in between the two beach towns of Saugatuck and South Haven. This property is also right on the Lakeshore on the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail. Across the street is a farm that sells fresh eggs, fruit, vegetables, etc. You pull out of the private drive and turn left or right and you will hit a public beach in the next two miles. One of the beaches is a county park with a playground, restrooms, and baseball field. Pets are accepted with a fee.

This property was absolutely perfect! It's set back off the road into a little clearing in the woods. The house was clean and cozy and perfect for our girls weekend! We especially loved the patio- it was the perfect setting to read and paint. The dining area was well lit which was great for playing our board games. The beds were comfy. There was construction going on behind the property but it didn't bother us at all. We were perfectly situated between Saugatuck and South Haven and there were so many lovely little farmers markets and roadside stands in the area. If you like a view of the water head in to lunch at the BARge in Saugatuck and sit upstairs-amazing! You can't beat the sunset in South Haven on the beach. We fell in love with the area and intend to make this a semi-annual weekend away! Bonus-Saturday morning we we're visited by a whole family of deer!

This house has a very private rural setting, yet is still within driving distance to many places. The master bedroom has a softer mattress, which we appreciate. My husband loved that they had Dish TV and Starlink internet. The owners were great and answered all of our questions. We wouldn't hesitate to return here.

We came out from San Diego four of use for my nieces wedding in South Haven but enjoyed our accommodations and the beautiful countryside, The proximity to the lake and Saugatuck great little town!

Attentive host, perfect home!

We had a group of 5 women for a Girls weekend and this home was perfect! Enjoyed evening bonfire in the secluded backyard and board games at the large kitchen table! Home was clean, beds were comfy and close to town!

A Perfect Country Getaway!

Our stay at the Country Cottage was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The home was even more charming than the photos—spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. We especially loved the peaceful surroundings, with stunning views of the countryside and plenty of space to relax and unwind.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals, and the cozy living room was the ideal spot to curl up with a book or enjoy a movie after a day of exploring. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept like babies thanks to the quiet, serene atmosphere.The hosts were wonderful—friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They provided excellent recommendations for nearby attractions and dining, which really enhanced our experience.If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home, I can’t recommend the Country Cottage enough. We’re already planning our next visit!

Early bday gift for my wife

The stay was absolutely amazing
 we have stayed here before and came back since the place is really quiet and love the wild life we get to see
 this time we saw wild turkeys run through the backyard and deer
 it is great having beaches near by and we absolutely love the farm right across the street.. Dee is so funny and always has a story to tell

Quiet and nice

This was a nice place to stay during a wedding we had in Sagautuck, MI. It was very clean and quiet. It also had a nice patio to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning, where we saw lots of deer! However, the beds were not very comfortable and my group had trouble sleeping. Would definitely stay here again if the beds were upgraded!
