This 2 bedroom / 2 bath suite is located at "The Ash," a vintage motel renovated into a modern mix of vacation rentals.

Opting for a cozy and eclectic energy, you’ll find this suite a photo-worthy treat. With two bedrooms and 2 full baths, there’s space to comfortably accommodate 4 people.

A kitchenette features a wet bar, small refrigerator, microwave, sink, and most importantly a coffee maker.

The living space displays the works of Michigan artisans, local and vintage furniture touches to complement a decor with hints of charm. Neutral palettes with pops of color are featured in all the suites with natural light from the living room picture window.

The primary bedroom features a king bed, open closet, an ensuite bath and TV.

The second bedroom offers a queen bedroom with open closet.

There is also a main full bathroom.

Convenient parking is located directly in front of each suite. Our single story and open floor plans allow for easy mobility and convenience.

Restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and boating are all just a short drive from this ideally located property.

This vintage motel property has been renovated into a wonderful place to stay when in the Soo. It’s exceptionally clean, their renovation and decor is tasteful and comfortable. I’d most definitely recommend!

The Soo

From the moment I walked in it felt like home. The room had an old time vibe with a velvet settee, leather upholstered chairs and a large palm in the corner.The kitchenette was stocked with essentials for minimum cooking but include a induction cooktop with pan. Nice mini fridge, coffe pot and microwave as well. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Plenty of towels and bedding too. For my needs I am extremely happy with the lodgings and would go back when the occasion arises.I must reiterate: the place was very clean!

Super cute and extremely clean

We have no complaints about the Ash apartments. The place is super cute, extremely clean, and looked exactly like we expected. You can tell the hosts are very organized and take pride on keeping their property beautiful and pristine. We really enjoyed our stay and would, for sure, come back if we are ever in Sault St. Marie again.

We’ve never received complaints about our furniture or cleanliness, and we truly wish you had reached out during your stay so we could have helped right away. I would have came in a heartbeat to show you how to use the TV, etc. and helped with whatever small details you couldn't figure out. In the future, if you’re ever unhappy with a vacation rental, it’s best to let the host know immediately so they can resolve the issue or provide alternatives. We’re proud of the many guests who have loved their time here, and we’ll continue to strive for excellence with every stay.

The Soo Stayover

The Ash is a nicely updated strip motel that was more than adequate for our group of 4 adults. The efficiency style kitchen and seating area are a pleasant but somewhat spartan addition. Our only complaint was the 2nd bathroom didn’t have a fan or an outlet for a blow dry dryer. There was also construction on the pool area. Thank you.

Super clean

It is a bit hard to find at first because the sign is parallel to the street. We ended up using the butcher shop as our landmark to find the hotel. It is a work in progress and being an old motel it is not the most sound proof. The guide book is very well done, the rooms were cute and very clean. The bathtub in the ensuite did not hold water, showers only. Sault Ste Marie is a fun town and i will stay at the Ash again.

Sweet Little Place

Cute and clean this place is immaculate. Had issues with heat but they were right on top of it. Thank you. Would suggest larger end tables in living room and bedroom. Weather stripping along sliding door for more privacy. More towels/wash cloths. Would stay again.

this is a VRBO property rented via Expedia. Expedia gave me a 6-digit passcode. it did not work. i requested another passcode and received a 6-digit passcode. it did not work. I then contracted the owner and the owner advised gave me a 4-difit passcode. looking back, the email sent to me had a 4-digit passcode. why Expedia gave me a 6-digit passcode, I do not know. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
