Unwind watching freighters pass by in Sault Ste. Marie at this lovely house. Enjoy a riverside fire while watching Freighters pass 200 yards in front of this cozy retreat that features 1 bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, a modern bathroom with a shower, and an additional sleeping space with a sofa bed. Enjoy the convenience of WiFi, a washing machine and heating, during your stay. We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our house. This property features a private beach with a shallow bay for swimming and two kayaks. Only a 5 minute drive to downtown Sault Ste. Marie, featuring the Soo locks. The Soo locks and freighters are shut down until March.

This is as perfect for our one night stay in town! What a cozy and clean place! We even got to see a freighter go by! We would definitely like to come back in the summer.

The house was exactly what we were looking for. Tracy was very hospitable, and even though we didn't need to contact her for anything, knowing she was right next door gave us confidence that we wouldn't have any problems.

The site is exceptional with a large riverside lawn and river view of freighters going by day and night. Very cool. The interior was clean, however, on entering the house, there was an overpowering and annoying smell coming from three plug in air fresheners which lingered well after we unplugged them and which had us wondering if there was something else being masked. The interior is also an unfinished work in process, which we were somewhat cautioned about after booking, but before our arrival date, though that should be moot by next year when they are finished with the renovations. Finally, the bathroom/laundry room had the cheapest toilet paper available, a small, but easily avoidable annoyance that every guest will notice.

The place was sparkling clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen. The owner left a basket of snacks and juice in the fridge and everything for s’mores. Excellent location for viewing the freighters and to the locks. Met the host she was very friendly. Thank you for sharing your place

This is a very comfortable place. It isn't fancy, but neither are we. We were impressed with all the amenities, the neighborhood, and especially the ability to view the freighters passing by. Communication and access were extremely smooth.

Check in went smoothly. Place is very clean. Host had snacks which were very appreciative. A box to make Smores which we didn't. But awesome gesture. Host was spot on when we needed batteries for remote. Which was the only reason we needed to. The kitchen was very well equipped. Bathroom had plenty of towels an supplies also. The freighters were so cool to watch. With the app Marine Traffic we knew when they were comin. Very close to everything. Would Love to stay again when we get back up this way.

The property was super clean and very comfortable. The view of the freighters on the St. Mary's River was amazing! We loved sitting by the water with a nice fire to keep us warm. The dry firewood provided was excellent since we had a lot of rain during our stay. All the little touches like snacks and smores fixin's were very much appreciated.

Cute little house. Clean and quiet. Watching the freighters go by in the front yard was amazing. We saw six go by and missed a few more. They are amazingly quiet! House was well stocked and comfortable. Would stay again!

Great stay for our family and close to town to see the locks and dine. We had a peaceful night by the fire stargazing and watched the moonrise. The freighters were fun to watch as well!

We have lived in this area for many years and enjoy the wonderful neighbors and freighters passing closely by. We are just outside of the City of Sault Ste. Marie limits but still very close to town. We enjoy having fires by the river and kayaking.
