Very nice property! Check in and out super efficient and mangers very responsive. Floor to ceiling windows make for amazing views of Auke Bay. Kitchen very well appointed. Beds and linens top notch. Felt safe with good doors and outside lighting. Maybe another deadbolt on front door. Carpets moderately stained in upstairs area but easily fixed. Overall great stay. Would definitely stay again!

I wish they had a web cam on this house so I could watch the harbor from home

Absolutely beautiful view
so many memories where made from the kitchen table, whales, sea otters, seals and boats going in and out. Everyone was able to have their private time and together as a family.

Well maintained property with incredible views

Our extended family of 7 stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Everyone was impressed with the location and the views. The house was well kept and the hosts were very thoughtful in welcoming us. They left crayons and a coloring book for the kids, one of the rooms was stocked with board games, and the overall setup with an open floor plan was conducive to creating memories. The location is perfect for little adventures and my kids loved walking on the nearby dock looking for minnows and walking the beach out front and collecting shells. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and my wife remarked that the photos didn’t do the place justice as it felt like the open spaces were much larger than the photos would lead you to believe.

Great family house close to water

Our family really enjoyed this house. Plenty of room and nice bedrooms/bathrooms. Well-stocked kitchen and some staple items in pantry. Lots of games for the kids. Adam was very helpful at check in and quickly responded to texts. We also rented the Toyota Sienna for our stay, which worked out really well. The listing says the 2nd and 3rd floor of the house - which I thought meant a separate walk-out basement. A picture of the stairs to get to the main entrance of the house would be great. However, the steps also made for very nice views of Auke Harbor, the eagles and the seals in the harbor.

Beautiful view of Auke Bay harbor. The unit was well stocked, clean and comfortable. Communicating through the VRBO app is a little tricky.

Wonderful home!

Adam and Ashley's home was a wonderful base for our Juneau family vacation. Gorgeous views, plenty of room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything is exactly as noted in the listing. Communication was great, we appreciated the note about the Celebration event that started while we were there. Overall, a great experience.

Spectacular in Auke Bay

A wonderful house with all the modern amenities overlooking Auke Bay. Easy ride to Juneau, airport, Mendenhall Glacier, groceries, etc. Fully stocked kitchen, 3 big bedrooms - great for our family of parents and 3 adult children. Highly recommended.

FANTASTIC house!

This property would be perfect for any family. Our family of 6 adults found it to be pure JOY! The home is spacious and very well equipped. We cooked together on most nights and found everything (and more!) we needed in the kitchen. The table expands to seat 8 if needed. The view from the house was spectacular and we truly enjoyed the deck that overlooks the bay harbor. Everyday we watched eagles, seals, boats traveling in and out of the harbor, and all with the background setting of beautiful mountains. The beds were very comfortable too! WOW! We couldn't have asked for more! The hosts, Adam and Ashley, were extremely accommodating and responded quickly to our questions. It was clear they also love this property and work to make sure their guests enjoy the house and their stay in Alaska. We absolutely loved this property! Don't miss your opportunity to stay in this house. You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful view and well stocked home

Very nice home and accommodating with many extras. Only complaint is the traffic noise and parking issues
if we were familiar with area we should know “Glacier Highway” means backside of home is on a highway:) All in all, very nice accommodations meeting all of our needs with special touches of home! Thank you Adam and Ashley

Great place to be, best view of the Auke Bay Area. Close to everything and love to stay there again

The host was very helpful with everything. They provide all that you need and more. The view was the highlight of the place, no matter where you are in the house you still enjoy the view and the beauty of this great place. Perfect location!

Easy to find, great location overlooking the bay. We took walks on the docks and enjoyed watching low tide. Away from all the cruise ship madness and close to the beaches for walking. Wonderful hosts.

Juneau Visit w/ our granddaughter

Our stay at Alexis’ Beach House was a great experience. We had a wonderful mini reunion and visit with our granddaughter who’s working in Juneau for the summer. The house is very attractive and so well furnished.

Very relaxing and can’t beat the view. My only complaint was that when taking showers the water would all of a sudden turn cold. But everything else was super!

I first fell in LOVE with Juneau during a family vacation in my teen years. As Ashley tells the story I would often talk about moving to Alaska for our next great adventure. In 2013 I checked my work email and to my surprise, there was a new opportunity to relocate to Juneau!! I showed the email to Ashley and she said "Let's go". We sold everything and were on a plane a month later... and haven't regretted it for a moment.

We love everything about Juneau! The views, the community, the remoteness, the seafood.... and did I mention the VIEWS!?!?!

We are here to give you a local perspective on Juneau. We can make recommendations on everything from tour excursions, hiking trails (if you ask for this please include your level of fitness and how adventurous you are), hidden gems (don't like 20,000 tourists... hint neither do we. We can help you find the off the beaten path beaches and sights that you likely won't find on your own).

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We were looking at a few unique properties around town in late April. Ashley loved a house near downtown, and as they say "Happy wife, Happy life". We had planned to put an offer on the downtown house that day.

We saw postings on Facebook that there was a humpback whale feeding in the harbor in Auke Bay. We rushed that way and spent the next 2 hours enjoying a beautiful blue sky day with a humpback whale we affectionately named "Herbert". I pointed out a house overlooking the harbor and told Ashley that they have sandwiches and sweet tea at the open house. So we stopped for lunch.

On this serendipitous day we stopped for lunch and a brief tour and I fell in love with the property. Ashley still had her heart set on the other home. We called our realtor and asked for a 3rd viewing of the downtown home. What we found was astonishing. We had just left Auke Bay and the temperature gauge on my car read 71 degrees. As we went up the hill to the other property we felt a chill and there was still snow on the ground. The gauge in my care read 39 degrees. We never went on that 3rd tour.

We made an offer on the Auke Bay home and have loved living in the driest and sunniest area of Juneau ever since. If you happen to see Herbert, make sure to tell him we said hello. If he is out there with a friend... his name is Sparky.
