What a lovely, relaxing stay!I was in town briefly visiting my son who is stationed nearby. The apartment is the perfect size and I’m the perfect location - close to so many restaurants and things to do!There is plenty of room to spread out and chill in between walks to the beach and local restaurants. Having a parking spot was a huge advantage. Mandy is the perfect host. She was super responsive and very focused me having a pleasant stay. I will stay here on my next trip down!

Great stay at the beach

The owner provided clear communications and was quick to respond to questions. The apartment was well organized, clean, and had everything you might need. The beach was right there, just steps away.

Trip to Jax Beaches

We loved our stay. Our favorite part was making friends with all the dogs that were being walked on the beach. The sign said no dogs, however, that was our favorite part. They came up too us for kisses everyday at the same time and we learned their names. This would be a great community to retire from. We will definitely come back.

Pros: very close to the beach and nicely decorated Cons: After a 12 hour drive, my daughter and I walked into the bungalow and noticed it had not been cleaned. The towels and sheets from the previous visitors were still on the bed and hanging in the bathroom. I called the host and she sent somebody over to clean it right away, which I was very grateful. But, my daughter and I had to leave so the maid service could clean the bungalow, which cost me an extra hundred dollars in parking and restaurant fees, which I was not planning on spending that night. When we got back, the place looked nice, but I noticed there were two used wash rags in the shower. So I can only assume that the bathroom was not cleaned. I sent the host a text and never got a response. The kitchen is more of a kitchenette…there is not a stove. There is a microwave and a plug in two burner stovetop. Lastly, the washer and dryer is not in unit. It is in the garage and you have to get a code to get in there. You can only run short cycles with cold water. It wasn’t a clean laundry area, which was disappointing.

Weekend Getaway

The property was exactly as described. Everything was neat and clean. Since there were two of us I wish linens/blanket had been provided for the sofa/bed. Easy to get to the beach and a short walk to the main street where restaurants were located. I thought the unit was "no pets" but apparently the unit below did not follow the rules. There were two large German shepherds that barked during the night at any noise. We enjoyed our short weekend getaway non the less.

The communication from the host was excellent. Mandy was quick to respond to any questions. The property was spotless, very cute and exactly as advertised. The location was perfect as it was just a very short walk to the beach. It was located on a dead end so there is no through traffic and the parking spaces are directly in front of the entrance door. It is also very close to local restaurants, pubs, grocery stores and shopping. We are already planning on coming back again next year.

The property owner should sell this property to someone who can respond and actually handle bookings properly. Awful job by VRBO to allow a listing where the owner is not able to be reached and have no back up contact for guests. Furthermore VRBO needs to hire an outside consultant to drastically improve their processes and efficiencies of those processes. Lastly, VRBO needs to not outsource their client services and other areas to overseas countries if the people handling communications are not highly fluent in both speaking and comprehending.
