It was a bit tricky to find since it is hidden behind a hotel. Google maps took us to the right parking lot (Waterfront Inn) - just go all the way to the back. If you like the natural wood look, you will love this cabin. Just about perfect but missing some little details like wall hooks in bathroom/bedroom, a broom for sand on the porch, etc. Easy walk to Arnold ferry and downtown shops. Large bed in one bedroom, and bunk beds in an open alcove next to the bathroom - great for kids. We loved this place.

The fridge froze everything solid. There was no broom to sweep the dirt out of the cabin. But the location was beautiful. The cabin was beautiful and it was extremely relaxing. We didnt have no wood for the burn pit which the add on line saud it was provided. I would stsy again but i would definitely ask for a broom and then make sure the fridge worked properly.

Can’t get much closer to the water.

Well it was a good location upon arrival we found the cabin a bit dirty but within 5 minutes of me contacting the manager they had things back in order. The motel could be updated but the cabin was wonderful. Unfortunately they were doing road construction so it was a bit confusing to get in the parking lot wish they would have told us that before hand. Overall rating was a 5 because we were happy with how everything turned out. We would stay again.

Being along the beach made for amazing sunrises. The cabin was unique and fun. We loved watching the sea gulls. The kitchen had many small appliances. The hotel in front isn’t great. It would be nice if there were a path from the hotel parking to the cabin, but we had to walk through a grass path where the broken chairs were set. Bring your own hair dryer. Beware of the voucher for breakfast as it was on every tourist map and applied to limited items. All in all, we would stay there again. Mackinaw City is a nice destination and we enjoyed the beach.

The cabin is delightful and the location on the beach is wonderful. The surround hotel area is not good. And the "perks" of the water parks was not a perk.... sorry to say they were both very very very very bad. I would be glad to send pictures if you need them. I would say the cabin can sell itself and don't partner with the hotels to use pools

Right on the beach

Perfect sized cabin right on the water, step off the porch right onto the beach! Located very close to downtown and all of the shops; was perfect for our stay.

This was a great cabin to stay in. Beautiful view, and a nice private beach. Front door sticks a little bit, and screen door didn't quite sit squarely, but I assume this is due to settling of the property foundation (as it is on the beach.) Overall clean and spacious cabin, and we look forward to returning next season.

Great little place

Cabin is super clean and great place for a small family (no more than 4 people total). The only downside is that it is located right next to a couple very rundown hotels, and the pool/waterpark that is available to use is very dirty and after going once, would not go back to the water park. Overall the place is great if you like beaches, the front porch is about 100 feet from the water and a nice sandy beach.

Good trip

It was nice over all you go through a sketchy area to get back to there and the pool is shared with the motel you drive through. There’s two parking spaces and 3 cabins, only other thing is it was clean but the tops of everything besides the kitchen was coated with dust and spider webs

Host was awful and canin was so full of bugs we didn’t even stay.

The cabin was so full of bugs you couldn’t go in or out. We stopped by to check in and immediately left. It was unacceptable. Host wouldn’t communicate or let us cancel. Vrbo was also no help. We were forced to stay elsewhere. I do NOT recommend this at all!

Cons: The A/C is on the outside wall of the main bedroom, which was loud and disruptive. Pros: Location is within in walking distance to shops, restaurants and ferry.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the blankets had cigarette burns in them. There are no hooks in the bathroom to hang anything up. There was dust everywhere and on the blinds, and the refrigerator froze our food. Also the faucet in the bathroom shot water sideways, like a prank water fountain and no broom to sweep sand that is tracked in. The hotel pool area was kinda scary looking- we didn’t use the pool. The view from the cabin front door was exceptional, tho.

Mackinaw cabin

Whoever cleans needs to attend housekeeping 101. There were cobwebs all over and noticed immediately the ceiling light literally was encircled with spiderwebs. Shades were very dusty, nothing to clean up the sand carried in from the lake in the cabin and porch so we took towels and moved the sand against the walls, not enough dishes to feed 5 people, no kitchen utensils to cook, tv needs replaced and the list goes on. Pool is at a hotel in the vicinity. The futon was broke. Jodi (the supposed host) must be a robot or AI because there was no response to our issues. Staff at hotel where we were to go to issues resolved did nothing. Property around the cabin is dirty with broken items and liter. POITIVE point Lake Huron is clean and clear and the cabins are beach front.
