We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it easy to settle in and relax right away. The hot tub was a welcomed addition and the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The location was quiet and peaceful, and we loved listening to the soothing sounds of the creek from the deckâit really added to the relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was easy to find and conveniently located near both Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain, which made getting around simple. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommend!
We had a great time and would love to come back during the summer. The property was gorgeous and so worth the stay! The fire pit at night was a vibe for sure. The host was great and communication was excellent. If Iâm being totally honest the house could use a few updated items. But we had a wonderful time.
The house was in a great location, the stream outside the front door was beautiful. The surprise snow our first night was a great surprise. It was super windy during our stay and the back bedroom door constantly shifted and and made noise at night when closed due to a small draft. That was really our only issue the whole trip. We can't wait to come back.
The home was set up nicely. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with cooking items. The livingroom was comfortable. The deck over looked a beautiful stream with a waterfall. It was a very quiet area.
Great house with an even better host! She helped us with our kid friendly hikes and made sure we were settled in nicely. Itâs so refreshing to find people who care about their guests and itâs not just some property management company that treats the house like a hotel. We loved how close we were to Boone, very centrally located to most attractions. House was clean and easy to manuever. My only suggestion is alittle more exterior lighting because itâs dark in the woods especially with my kids running around at dusk. Other than that, it was the perfect house! We will be back!
A peaceful retreat where you can reset your brain and not do anything you don't have to. Sitting on the deck listening to the creek in the front yard, watching the deer....the best medicine for anyone. Alisha is the best. Good communication and helpful with the area. We can't wait to go back.
A great locale - close to Boone and Banner Elk. Dutch Creek was beautiful and peaceful, and the family angler was ecstatic - the first 3 casts caught 3 trout! (They were released, of course). The deck with the autumn trees, a large herd of deer grazing on the property, fire pit, hot tub, and the comforts of a home made this experience just the respite it was intended to be.
Couldnât ask for a better place to relax and catch (and release) crayfish and lighting bugs. We had a lovely stay, love coming to this part of the state. Weâd love to return sometime soon.
Hello. I just wanted to tell you how beautiful and peaceful my stay was. The cabin was very clean and everything was in good order upon arrival. It was very easy navigating the check in procedure compared to others VRBO I have stayed. The scenery is spectacular as the leaves have started their autumn show and the sounds of the waterfall into a great looking pool below will ease the tension away. Just an amazing place with gracious hosts always available. I'd give it 10 starts it I could.
The creek is amazing. Deep enough to wade into. Location is convenient to Banner Elk (you have to try the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!!) and Boone (have to try Coyote Kitchen and Stick Boy!) While you're at it head up Beech Mountain in the summer and ride the chair lift to the top (there's a bar up there) and watch the mountain bikers ride down the mountain. House was convenient to all of this! Can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the homemade sour dough bread and jam are a welcome surprise.
