Updated St. Pete Beachside Condo

Welcome to this newly renovated condo on the ground floor at The Friendly Native Beach Resort. This “Old Florida” style, low-rise complex is located steps away to St. Pete's Upham Beach home to the Secret Garden. The condo is equipped with all the comforts for a deluxe vacation by the sea. There is a king and queen bedroom, with new high-end mattresses, as well as a custom oversized velvet sofa with queen-sized pull-out sofa bed with a memory foam mattress. All rooms have a TV. The full-size glass-enclosed bathtub and rain shower, has a double sink marble top vanity. The kitchen has a refrigerator with ice maker, and an expandable table for six and is equipped with everything you need to make a gourmet meal. Included in your stay are beach chairs, boogie boards, inflatable rafts with portable electric pump.

• Check-in is anytime after 4:00 PM
• Minimum rental age of 25
• For a confirmed reservation, it is mandatory to submit a comprehensive guest list by email.
• Guests will receive a rental agreement which must be signed and returned to the host prior to arrival.
• Nightly rate based on standard occupancy rate, additional occupancy fees may apply.
• Hourly rates may apply for early check in or late check out.
• If you use the beach chairs, please rinse them off before bringing them back inside the house
• NO PETS ALLOWED

Great property, terrible experience
The property itself was great. Newly renovated and mostly clean (the tub was dirty). The location was fantastic - walking distance to the beach. The issue was the check in process and poor initial communication. Nowhere during the registration and booking was it communicated that there are two doors to the property. So when I was given a check in code, I was using it on the wrong door. After being on the road for over 12 hours, and arriving later in the evening, all I wanted to do was check in and rest. I couldn’t do that, however. When I called the numbers provided, no one could help me. The lady on the phone said she can’t get a hold of anyone, but that someone would call me back working 30 minutes. That also wasn’t the case. I ended up calling VRBO and trying to get the company to help. Only then did I get a call from the owner/manager? It took almost an additional hour for me to get a call back and find out there was another entrance. Fast forward a few days later - I received a parking ticket on my vehicle, despite providing the make, model, and plate number. Also, upon check in the bathtub didn’t look like it was cleaned. Instead of coming for a stress-free getaway with my family, the trip proved to be high stress experience. It could’ve been so much better with proper communication!

Awesome location & nicely appointed condo
My 15 year old daughter and I came down for a girls' trip for five days. We selected this condo based on its location very close to the beach and because it had two bedrooms and looked updated. We were not disappointed! The condo complex is directly across from Upham Beach, which turned out to be a nice beach that seemed a little less crowded than some of the other beaches in the area. Going in the other direction, there were several eating options within easy walking distance, including an awesome ice cream (and donut) shop called Larry's Ice Cream - definitely worth visiting! The condo itself was beautiful inside and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom included shampoo and soap and plenty of towels, and the kitchen included a full array of cooking utensils and small appliances, such as a blender. One downside was the lack of a dishwasher, though we did not find that to be much of an inconvenience for our small group. There was also a closet filled with things you'd want for a trip to the beach, including chairs, an umbrella, a beach blanket, beach toys, towels, and even a wagon for bringing everything back and forth. We had an amazing time and would choose this condo again if we go back to St. Pete's!
