The modern studio is on the top floor of the original 1920's detached carriage house overlooking the swimming pool (open approx. Memorial to Labor day). It is located behind the main house with private parking in the historic Castle Heights/Austin Ave neighborhood. Minutes from downtown restaurants and nightlife, Magnolia/Silos, and Baylor. Perfect for romantic getaways, Baylor parents and alumni, Magnolia fans, those visiting family in Waco, business travelers or house hunters.

Awesome place

This is a definite place you’d want to stay at if you’re looking for a cozy and private getaway. Would stay here again if available, it was awesome.

Comfortable, clean, lovely

Check in was a breeze, we came to Waco to see the Mammoth site and relax for a few days. The studio was clean and had everything we needed; kitchenette was great so we didn’t have to eat every meal out, full bath with gorgeous shower, and the pool! It felt so private and secluded, yet was in a beautiful historic neighborhood with lots of stuff to do nearby. Helpful folder in the room with restaurants close by. It was wonderful!!

Just ok

The house was fine, not what we expected and not the privacy we were looking for. Pool was fine but wouldn't swim in it. Air Conditioning unit leaked all over which wasnt great for sleeping. It's a bed and bathroom plain and simple.

Excellent spot when you need a private place to stay for a weekend

The hosts are excellent with communication. The place is spotless and thoughtfully well supplied. I did not get a hotel room before they were booked up, and this was an excellent alternative. I would stay here again, and I highly recommend it

Fabulous place!

Small upstairs one room with a bathroom. Perfect for us visiting our kids at Baylor. Beautifully decorated. Clean, lovely pool area. Nicely accommodated. Would highly recommend for a quick get away!

Visit to Waco

Everything was exactly as advertised. Nice comfortable 1 room apartment. Nice pool to swim in and perfectly located in the city with easy access to any and everything we wanted to see. The host family had the room set up with everything anyone would need. My wife and I are very impressed with the whole set up and are both very pleased and happy we chose this site.

Top-Notch Place for a Travel Worker

I appreciate the privacy during my stay. It's a studio packed with everything I needed to be comfortable after a 12-hour day at work. The neighborhood is beautiful, and I felt safe at night. I'm already planning to stay here again.

Very beautiful little spot

We enjoyed the beauty of the neighborhood, the great accessibility to downtown, and the would have certainly enjoyed the privacy of the pool had the weather permitted. We found the guest house to be beautifully and thoughtfully fitted. We would definitely consider staying again!

Hello and welcome to my home. I am the proud father to two wonderful kids and we love to spend time outside in the pool, on the trampoline, or hiking in Cameron Park. Born and raised in the UK, I relocated to Waco in 2016 after living in the Mosel wine region of Germany. I have traveled quite a bit and feel I have found my place in the Castle Heights area.

I love my neighborhood. Not only is it beautiful but I also feel very safe here. In my opinion, the best parts about this place are the beautiful homes that line the streets, the large mature trees, and the sidewalks... a big bonus in Waco. This area is so close to so many things but yet far enough away to not get the crazy noise and traffic

My favorite things to do here are to walk to the local coffee shop/bar (Pinewood - about 2 blocks away) or ride my bike to Cameron Park (about 4 miles away). The Silos are also about 2 miles away along with many great restaurants and bars. For the Baylor fans and alumni, campus and stadium are approximately 3 miles away.
