Welcome to 🏝️ Shore is Blue 🌊

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a BRAND NEW luxury home located atop the hill on a quaint dead end street in the heart of Blue Mountain Beach. You’ll immediately notice the expansive swimming pool located right next door, used by only the homes in the neighborhood. The front porch is adorned with two rocking chairs and a ceiling fan for summer-time relaxation while at enjoying time at home. Stepping inside boasts an open-concept dining area and living room with high vaulted ceilings, suitable for a family or any group to enjoy. The table seats 8 comfortably, with additional 4 bar seats for large meals. The living room equipped with a fireplace, provides the perfect space for movies or game night after a long day at the beach. On the first floor you will find a spacious laundry room, a half bath, and an oversized master bedroom and bathroom. Inside the bathroom is both a linen closet and an extra large master closet for plenty of extra storage during your stay. The master has access to the outdoor patio and privately fenced in backyard, where a private fire-pit and gas grill await. This area provides ample space for fun and entertainment with its comfortable set up.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to enjoy a meal at home, if you should choose. From the gas stove to the extra large refrigerator, to the coffee maker and blender, we have your comfort in mind! In addition, the home is equipped with air purifiers and UV light filtration throughout the HVAC ducts to ensure the air inside the home is sanitary and healthy for all who visit.

Upstairs provides 3 additional bedrooms plus a bunk nook, and 2 full bathrooms. The hall bathroom has a bathtub for relaxation, while the upstairs master bathroom boasts an upgraded massaging shower head. Aside from the king master suite, there is a bunk nook that sleeps 4, another bedroom that sleeps 4 with two sets of bunks and closet, and a king bedroom with its own closet. Off the upstairs king master bedroom is a cozy flex space that comfortably provides ample room for a full size crib, or extra space for added storage or privacy if needed. A crib can be available with the home for the ease of the family members’ youngest guests. Four of the five bedrooms and bunk nook are equipped with smart TVs, and the home has been outfitted with the most advanced WiFi technology available.

While staying at Shore is Blue, you’ll have the convenience of a 6 seater street-legal golf cart and bikes for 4 adults. You’ll find the closest beach access less than 5 mins away, and the latest shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Great location in center of Blue Mountain Beach. Easy walkable access to food, shopping and beach. Having the bikes and golf cart was a major plus! Neighborhood was quiet and very clean as well. Loved being next door to the pool for easy access if we didn’t want to go to the beach one day. Plenty of beds and bathroom space for larger family. My only suggestion would be to add a little more sitting furniture or maybe a large sectional in the living room for larger crowds or families. Overall great communication, great house, great location. We would definitely reserve it again.

The host was very responsible when we had a problem with the freezer.There was not enough furniture in the LR for 9 people. There was a terrible sofa (very low and cushions were terrible), two chairs. No lamps. Also, there was not enough silverware for 9 people, at best enough for 4. Also, it would have been nice to have a desk (our son had to work two days while we were there) and some chairs in the main bedrooms. The house was very nice but the amenities were lacking. Also, we were not told the heated pool was not in operation and we had five children who wanted to swim.

Guest comfort and satisfaction are extremely important to us, and we sincerely apologize if your group was not fully comfortable during your stay. We do want to share that we host large groups throughout the year and have not previously received this feedback, so we were surprised to read these concerns without them being shared during your visit. Aside from the freezer issue — which occurred after items became lodged behind the door — no additional concerns were brought to our attention at the time. Our home is furnished exactly as shown in the listing photos and includes seating for ten at the dining table, which can also be used for additional gathering space. That said, we truly appreciate your comments and will conduct a full inventory of the items mentioned to ensure the home remains well stocked for future guests. We completely understand and share the disappointment regarding the pool. Unfortunately, this was an unexpected issue that arose over Thanksgiving and was outside of our control, as we were not informed of the problem at the time. We hope the discount provided along with the complimentary early check-in conveyed our appreciation for choosing our home. Thank you again for your feedback, which we will use to continue improving the experience for all

We had such a great stay! It was awesome to have the community pool right next door. Bikes were in great shape, and golf cart was essential for getting the group to and from the beach. Everything was clean and comfortable!

Beautiful property with plenty of room for 2 families to enjoy the week. Loved having 2 master suites and the kitchen and dining area were adequate for our needs. This house is perfectly situated in the neighborhood because it is right next door to the community pool. The check in and out process was seamless and we were very grateful to have stayed here!!

Bachelorette Trip

This house was the most adorable house ever! Me and my girls came for our bachelorette trip and it was absolutely amazing! The last day our car broke down and we were stuck somewhere we didn’t know with all luggage! The owner was so sweet and kindly let us stay until our car was done! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Family vacation

Our family was there for the week of July 4th. We enjoyed our stay and the house was in a great location to restaurants, the beach, etc. Having the golf cart and bikes was very helpful in getting around. We had plenty of room for the 6 adults and 2 teenagers. Kathryn, the host, was also very attentive. She messaged me a couple of times during the week to see if we needed anything and to make sure everything was good. We hope to be able to stay there again at some point.

Thought the house was very nice and having the pool next door was a big plus. Parking for the beaches is awful, you just have to shuttle. The initial cleaning was not great but was corrected very quickly as were maintenance issues. Owner was very quick to respond!

Nice home, good location

We enjoyed the stay. Pretty home. A lot of beds. Really good location. Golf cart usage was great. Only issue we had dealt with some bedding/linen cleanliness. For being a very new listing, we thought bedding/linens would have been in great shape. We found some dirty bedding and stained comforters. That being said, they did come back promptly and corrected the issue once we had identified concerns annd they apologized for issue..

Loved the golf cart!!

We had an incredible family vacation at the Shore is Blue beach house. The house was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The kids had plenty of room to spread out, and we all felt right at home. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made preparing meals a breeze, and the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The highlight for us was definitely the golf cart that came with the house. It was a game-changer, making it so easy to get around the area. Whether it was our daily trips to the beach or a fun ride around the neighborhood or out to dinner, the golf cart added an extra element of excitement to our vacation. Shore is Blue beach house is a quick 5 minute golf cart ride to the public beach access or just 8-10 minutes to many dining options, ice cream shops and markets. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a perfect vacation and even helped us out when we accidentally forgot some of our personal items after we checked out. Overall, our experience at the Shore is Blue beach house exceeded our expectations. It's the perfect destination for families looking to create unforgettable memories by the sea. We had lost our love of a beach house with rundown places and subpar accommodations which had turned us away for several years, but now we're already counting down the days until we can return!

House was wonderful.Good location, nice having the house next to the pool. Close to everything. Charcoal BBQ pit (need to bring your own charcoal), regular coffee maker, no beach chairs and no use of the garage. Outdoor hose and shower. Bikes were great. The golf cart is extremely slow. Top speed it would go is 17mph, the speed limit on 30A is 25mph, so we held up traffic and other golf carts. The electronic screen on the golf cart does not work either. We notified the owner on both issues with the golf cart, she sent someone out but nothing was fixed. We had an issue with the internet, it did not work when we arrived, we contacted owner but the soonest something could be resolved was going to be on day 5 of our stay (wed). Luckily we had an electrician in our group that was able to troubleshoot the issue. We found the wires were incorrectly hooked up. He was able to correct the wiring issues so we could have TV and internet for the week. Exposed wires hang from the TV in the living room and every TV in the house. Exposed wires hang in the laundry room. The TV is very small in the family room and the couch is very uncomfortable and small. Overall the house is nice, the property management could improve with resolving issues and the wiring throughout the house needs to be fixed and a new TV and couch in family room would help improve the overall feel.

Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback. We’d like to offer a few clarifications. The family room TV was a brand-new unit installed just before your arrival. Due to back-to-back bookings, we didn’t have time to tuck the wires prior to check-in, but this has been addressed. Regarding the internet, we understand your frustration. Unfortunately, Mediacom is our provider and service delays are beyond our control. While we appreciate your group’s efforts to fix the issue, modifying the home’s wiring without our knowledge is against our house rules. Technically, this would have warranted a fine due to liability concerns, but we waived it given your urgency and timeline. As for the golf cart, we connected you directly with the company, and a warranty claim was filed for the screen. After our technician visited, it was determined the cart needed to be shifted into the correct gear to reach its full 25 mph speed per Walton County limits. Lastly, the home is newly built and passed all county inspections. While opinions on exposed wires may vary, the home meets all code requirements. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and hope you had a relaxing stay.

For clarity and transparency for future guests, this reservation was canceled prior to check-in after we were informed that the home was being booked for an underage New Year’s Eve party without a responsible adult over the age of 21 present. Additionally, we were notified that a dog would be brought into the property despite multiple signed agreements clearly stating that the home is strictly pet-free due to severe allergy concerns for future guests. The individual who made the reservation also stated he would not personally be staying at the property and was booking it for others, which is a direct violation of our third-party booking policy and VRBO guidelines. Prior to check-in, we received personal text messages that were inappropriate and threatening in nature. Out of an abundance of caution for our home, our neighbors, and the integrity of our property, we made the decision to cancel the reservation days in advance. No access to the property was ever granted. Although the cancellation fell outside of our standard policy terms, 100% of the booking amount was refunded. As hosts, our responsibility is to maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for our guests and community. We consistently enforce our house rules to protect the quality and experience of our home for all who stay with us. We wish you the best moving forward.
