Henderson House Eureka. Centrally located stylish home with all amenities.

Relax in a stylish centrally-located home in the heart of Henderson Center! A chef’s dream kitchen with new dual ovens, gas stove, and room to create! This fully remodeled home has everything you need, including WiFi and a 4k television. Both bedrooms have new California King beds and city views. Your home also has a private patio for outdoor dining. This residential home is ensconced in a commercial district and literally steps away from bars, restaurants, toy stores, salons and shopping.

Downstairs has a large living room, dining room, and kitchen with a washer and dryer. Upstairs has two large bedrooms with California King beds. A full bathroom is located between the two bedrooms.

Guests have access to the full house and patio backyard. The courtyard is private but not fully enclosed, so please keep that in mind in regard to dogs and children. The driveway is for a hair salon and reserved for hair salon patrons.

Kat is local and very responsive. But hosts do not live on site.

Henderson Center is a popular mid town area with Eureka’s top restaurants, pet store, boutiques, Dave’s Place bar, and multiple Asian grocery stores. It is a family friendly area with Eureka’s top toy store - a tourist attraction. The area is five minutes from Sequoia Park Zoo, old town Eureka, and the local hospital.

You can walk to everything you need from Henderson House. Street parking is available out front.

Henderson House is the only residential home on this block. The front portion of the home is a hair salon. And there is a one bedroom unit located behind Henderson House. This block has a famous bakery, Chinese food restaurant, Mexican restaurant, Asian grocery store, laundromat, and multiple salons.

*We allow dogs only. Sorry, no cats! Please keep your dogs off all the furniture, including off and out of the beds. We have provided a comfy dog bed.

*Please no food or drinks in or on the beds.

*Don't worry about stripping the beds. Housekeeping's got it.

*Don't worry about taking out the garbage/recycling. We've got that covered, too.

* Please load and start the dishwasher.

*Please be sure to turn off the heat.

*Please NO smoking of any kind inside the home!

Great Stay

Overall a nice and quiet location. House was clean and the kitchen was awesome. Overall really pleased with the stay. The parking was the only slightly unfortunate spot as people kept stealing our spot!

Everything about this home was just perfect. Everything you need was there with helpful notes throughout the home. Great location with a wonderful bakery within walking distance. Will definitely stay there again my next trip out.

Comfortable and updated.

This home is comfortable for sleeping and preparing meals. When we arrived the home was 76 inside. Upon calling, I was told to “prop open the windows with flashlights” and other various objects. Keep in mind the windows have no screens and a bug was already flying about. I’m from the East coast and we don’t open windows without screens
 it did cool down significantly over the course of a few hours and by leaving upstairs windows open, we remained comfortable. This is an old property that has been updated and the beds and kitchen were very comfortable and usable. It was well stocked. The area is run down for sure - but we did not run into any issues. The Chinese and Mexican restaurants nearby are phenomenal!!!

The property is great. Next to a busy road with only road parking which we worried about but was fine. House is very cute and the kitchen is fabulous. Beds and bathroom are good too!

Cozy Clean Comfortable

We were here for the weekend to move our daughter in to her college dorm. We wanted a place to stay that was comfy convenient and would allow to have a few meals in since we would be here for several days. The home was clean and beds very comfy and the kitchen had everything we would need to cook. The neighborhood overall was quiet. Great places to eat just steps away, a bakery where we would get coffee and a fresh pastry each morning. A wonderful breakfast/lunch spot right out the door. The back patio was clean and a nice little spot to have coffee in the morining and cocktails in the evening. The neighborhood seemed to have quite a bit of homeless people which would walk the neighborhood, the home is located in a commercial area. There was no garage or driveway to park in which we were aware of, but we never had a problem finding street parking right in front of the house. We did however have some things stolen out of our car which was parked out front. I admit we must have left the car door unlocked because the windows or doors weren't broken so its a bit of a shame on us. Nonetheless, its unsettling to be stolen from and made me uncomfortable the rest of the stay. That being said, I plan to stay again when we visit my daughter in the fall.

Good option in Eureka

The good - very stylish decor, great kitchen with modern appliances, soft comfortable beds, awesome black out curtains, dog friendly with a secured backyard, well stocked house, central location, washer and dryer, thoughtful supplies like poo bags and towels for the dogs, affordable. The not so good - neighborhood felt a bit iffy, no alarm / security system and the locks felt like they would be very easy to pick; no lock on the gate; constant Chinese food smell in the backyard in the PM and the sound of the roof vents humming. Listing had a photo of the courtyard with a pond taken from the second floor bedroom window. We didn’t have access to the pond and I felt like that part was misrepresented. BBQ grill was super dirty. Non existent shower pressure. Street parking was occasionally challenging because people kept parking throughout the day in front of the property to get their Chinese food next door. Also, the AC wasn’t cooling anything and if you didn’t close the curtains upstairs the bedrooms would get super stuffy from the sun. No closet space in the second bedroom; just a niche with a rod thats way too high to reach if you’re short To summarize, my family and I really enjoyed our stay and being able to bring the dog. But as a female, if I were traveling by myself, I wouldn’t be comfortable sleeping alone at this property without an alarm system. Everything else is minor imperfections and I think this house is a great option for anyone traveling through Eureka.

We tried the Chinese restaurant next door and the bakery two door down. House was very comfortable and easy to get to. Only problem was th parking ❀❀❀

A competitively priced, clean, well appointed 2 bedroom home. Conveniently located in a quite residential/business neighborhood with everything we needed within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Stay

Really enjoyed our two days. Older house that is really updated nicely. Felt very comfortable. Quiet area and the backyard courtyard was very nice. Host ' Kat - was very responsive. Would return in a second.
