Girls GetawayThis was our 18th year for our girls getaway to South Haven! We loved the location of the house to town, the firepit, hot tub and plenty of bedrooms for the 5 of us. We especially enjoyed many conversations on the front porch. If you have a large group, I would definitely recommend this property. Thanks Aaron!!!

We had a fantastic stay at this house. We loved the screened in front porch, the hot tub and the wonderful location so close to town and the beach. The owner was absolutely terrific in responding quickly and taking care of the only small issue that came up. The owner also came to our rescue when our car wouldn’t start as we were getting ready to leave. He was there in 15 minutes with his friends to help jump the car. Can’t say enough about the great treatment we received from the owner. We would definitely stay again.

This home was perfect for a few days away with friends in early March. The glassed in front porch was very cozy with a space heater to take the chill out. The hot tub was heated and ready for use. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The downtown shopping area is very close. Highly recommend.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Aaron Overhiser

Image de profil de l’hôte
I was born and raised in Southwest Michigan, where my family has farmed local fruit for generations. Growing up here gave me a deep appreciation for everything that makes this area special, from Lake Michigan sunsets and beaches to orchards, wineries, small businesses, and the welcoming community that keeps people coming back year after year.

When I’m not hosting guests, I work as a local physical therapist, helping members of our community stay active and healthy. Hosting short-term rentals is an extension of that same passion for serving others. My goal is to provide a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed place where families and friends can relax, reconnect, and create lasting memories.

Whether you’re visiting for the beaches, wineries, golf, hiking, boating, local festivals, or simply a peaceful getaway, I hope you’ll experience Southwest Michigan the way locals do. Thank you for choosing one of my homes, and I hope your stay is one you’ll remember for years to come.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I chose The Midtown Retreat because there isn’t a better way to experience South Haven than on foot. Located just one block from downtown and three blocks from Lake Michigan, this home lets guests park the car and spend their vacation exploring beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, the marina, farmers market, seasonal events, and everything that makes South Haven special. As someone who grew up in Southwest Michigan, I wanted to create a home where visitors could experience the same walkable lifestyle and small-town charm that has kept me connected to this community for years.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The Midtown Retreat offers one of the best locations in South Haven while still providing the privacy and amenities of a spacious home. After a day at the beach or downtown, guests can unwind in the private hot tub, gather around the fire pit, grill on the patio, or enjoy friendly competition in the game room. With comfortable gathering spaces, modern updates, and everything within walking distance, the home is designed so families and friends spend less time driving and more time making memories together.
