Property was well appointed and very comfortable. Waterfront is a river/creek, not a proper lake that would have been preferable. Otherwise we enjoyed it.

The perfect place for the perfect getaway. Thoughtfully supplied, clean and welcoming. Spent days on the dock, and kayaking the river, and spent evenings by the fire. Played board games and cooked. Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend.

Alone time

Very quiet spot just outside of town. Ducks fiying in and staying the day. Peaceful. Great spot to stay and headout on adventures to see the fall colours

Amazing Experience

The cottage was very clean and it had everything we needed. The river is just steps away from your door with a beautiful view. There is a little bit of current since its a river but as a beginner I had no problems kayaking so I would totally recommend! Its also a very private and quite area which we appreciated as well. I would definitely recommend staying here, had a very good time!

Great getaway

Close to everything but far enough to feel alone. Great space! Hosts provide everything you need and more. Important to note that there is no garbage disposal on site. Easy to navigate but a head’s up for those who are used to the amenity!

R&R Cottage Is Well Named!

A beautiful retreat in a lovely setting on the Gull River, the R&R Cottage is welcoming and well-equipped. The hosts have thought of everything you might need to have a wonderful time including a bottle of wine, a large deck with gorgeous flowers and strings of lights at night, kayaks for exploring the river, two TVs for families and groups who want to watch different programs, and lots of games. Private and peaceful. Highly recommended for your memorable holiday in the Minden Hills.

Sweet spot

This is a beautiful little cottage set in tranquility but close to town. Nicely finished and outfitted. Great kayaks with which you can paddle into town. Not easy going up river as current is strong. Would have to stay close to young kids and pets when swimming but water is lovely and clear. Highly recommend.

R&R is very easy here

Very nicely appointed cottage on the water. The place is very peaceful yet close to amenities.(15 min walk to Foodland). Only saw a few boats slowly pass by and saw no one as we looked out onto the water. Went for a kayak paddle down to Minden as some one who has not kayak in years it was not bad distance / challenge going up current and the river was peaceful. Very nice appointed cottage clean comfortable and great location. Would go back if going to the Minden area

A Quiet Getaway

We had a lovely four night stay at the cottage with our dog, Oakley! The cottage was very clean and tidy upon our arrival and they had thought of small little things even for our dog to ensure a great stay. The river is lovely and great for a kayak or just reading on the dock. I forgot my book but they had a lovely selection at the cottage (it’s like they knew)! We also made use of the badminton net available. They really thought of everything! The only thing they didn’t have was Scrabble 😂 we will definitely be booking here again in the future!

Great cottage to relax and have fun

My group all had a wonderful time at "The R&R Cottage". The location on the gull river is amazing. It's very close to town, but also fairly secluded so there is good privacy. Groceries, ice cream, etc. are a very short trip away. We were there for a long weekend in the summer, and there was many boats/inflatable rafts floating down the river.There were only minor issues with checkin. The host asked a few days prior to push back the checkin time a couple hours for the cleaners. They were respectful, and extended the checkout time (plus a little extra time) to make up for it.The cottage is very clean, and the space was comfortable inside and out. There were only minor issues - no propane for the BBQ, and the hammock may have seen one too many winters. But the included kayaks, boardgames, etc. kept us busy and more than made up for it.Overall, we were very pleased with the cottage, would absolutely recommend it to others and would love to go back in the future.

Nice interior but felt a little neglegted.

The cottage itself has some nice interior upgrades and the area is quiet and relaxing with the river right out front. Kayaking down the river was a fun activity and it was nice to bring our dog. Some drawbacks It could have been cleaned better, found some old candy wrappers under the bed and the fridge hadn’t been wiped down. The internet was also not working for over a full day. No AC with little air circulation. One of the screen doors in the main room had a hole in it so we couldn’t have that door open. The outside area hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time a lot of bugs and cobwebs built up and the badminton net was also broken. All in all it was a nice cottage but just felt a little neglected.
