Estes Park Registration # 3185 Visit Estes Park and stay at Stone’s Throw This home is located on the west side of Estes Park within easy walking distance of the downtown area. Shopping, restaurants, Tregent Park and the water wheel on Fall River are all within a block. Listen to live music at Performance Park just a five minute trip up the river walk.

The Entire Home

This home was built in 1914 around the time of the founding of Rocky Mountain National Park, and has been carefully maintained and upgraded over the years. Stone`s Throw is near a shuttle stop for the free summertime trolley around town, and the buses into Rocky Mountain National Park. Walk downtown and get all your shopping done. Don’t forget to buy some fresh water Taffy too! The driveway has parking for three medium-sized cars plus a city parking lot. Climate control includes the rare amenity of air conditioning for occasional hot summer days in Estes. 4 bedrooms (3 queen bedrooms, 1 king bedroom), 3 baths (2 with showers, 1 with a tub). Other amenities include satellite television & DVD player, WIFI, BBQ grill and washer/dryers. Lower level offers good privacy and separation, perfect for extended family and friends. Includes a second kitchen, and living room, bedroom, bath, and additional washer /dryer. There is a 3-car maximum at the property.

The property was as-advertised and perfectly located near downtown Estes Park. The kitchen was well stocked and the deck overlooking downtown (and the elk waking around) was fabulous. We had a small plumbing issue and the management company responded immediately and communicated well. We're already looking towards making our 2027 reservations. A

Stones Throw was excellent. It was clean, well stocked and the location was excellent. Easy walk into town and quick access to RMNP. It was hot when we were there, but the air conditioning worked great. Just be aware that one of the bedrooms does not have an AC outlet, but it was an easy workaround, we just left the door open and placed a fan in the hall to push the AC into the room. We will definitely rent Stones Throw again. The communication was great leading up to the trip and we didn’t need to make any contact during our stay because everything was great! Thank you for offering such a great place to stay in Estes.

Listing was very accurate in both description and photos. Home was well stocked with all the basic needs. Plenty spacious enough for our group for the week. Very short walk to downtown Estes Park and all the restaurants we visited each night. We would re-book this home again if it was available on our next visit.

Kitchen well stocked with dishes, silverware, cooking utensils,Nice tables and chairs in kitchen and dining room.Living room furniture comfortable. Heaters worked well and we’re quiet except loud if upstairs heater was on and someone sleeping downstairs. We just kept heating off overnight. Bathrooms are great, wall fireplaces cozy.Location is great close to downtown but quiet!

The location is great and the scenery is beautiful. It’s nice to be able to leave your car at the house and walk right downtown — the outdoor space was one of our favorite things about the house. The house was pretty clean and had lots of space.A few honest notes: the house had quite a musty smell to it. The beds were not the most comfortable. The basement bedroom has a glass door, so it's not very private. In the kitchen, one drawer will only open if the oven door is open, which means either getting everything out first or reaching over a hot oven.The bigger issue was on arrival: there were no working smoke or carbon monoxide detectors — only one smoke detector in the whole place, and it was dead. We did get smoke alarms and CO detectors the second day, but only on the main floor; there were still none in the basement when we left. The hosts were not super responsive. We didn't get the entry code at noon by text as we were supposed to and had to ask. We also asked about checking in early and were told to read the rules again (check-in at 4). We were there at 2 and the house was clearly ready — no one was there and no one came — so it would have been nice to get in. An earlier check-in would also have given us more time to deal with the smoke detector issue.Lovely spot, but a few fixes and better communication would go a long way.

Stones Throw

Had a great stay! We had a group of 4 people and stayed for one week. It was very comfortable and had plenty of room. The location can’t be beat too, it is easy walking distance from pretty much everything in downtown Estes. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Stone’s Throw. The house is very clean and spacious. It is in a great location to enter RMNP and a short walk to town. We sat out on the deck every evening. We used the grill and the kitchen is well stocked. We loved everything about the house and the teens loved being able to walk to town for an afternoon ice cream.

Definitely recommend Stones Throw!

We had such a great stay at a stones throw. It is the perfect location, so close to downtown and walkable to everything. The house was very clean and was nice it was able to house 8 of us comfortably. I especially loved the back deck which overlooked downtown and was a great place to eat and hang out.

Colorado Motorcycle Trip 2024

The property is perfect! It is clean and perfect for walking into town or exploring the roads in and out of Estes as well as the Rocky Mountain National Park. The rooms were great and the apartment downstairs was even better! Great time and we will return if we stay again in Estes Park.
