As billed but a duplex

We have a very nice stay here and the house was as expected but the fact it is a duplex. This means sharing a tight driveway and also sharing walls and a small yard with another group.

Perfect location for our needs

We enjoyed our stay and it was a 4 minute drive to the Rochester Yacht Club, which was the purpose for our visit. The hosts were very accommodating and communicative during the entire stay. The home was charming and clean - looking forward to returning next year.

We had a fantastic stay at this cute house! The property was clean and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable visit. Comfy home for a short stay

Jed was a great host. Communication was great gave a lot of great recommendations, house had plenty of space, kitchen was stocked. We were only there for one day, but we made the best of it. Super close to the beach. Had a lot of fun.

Great Location for a Girls Weekend

We stayed in this home for a class reunion weekend and it was the perfect location! Walking distance to great restaurants and easy to get to everything else nearby. The home is very old so it had lots of charm and interesting architecture. Bathroom had been recently updated so that was nice. Would recommend for short stays in the North Rochester area!

We enjoyed our stay in the area. Very centrally located. The host responded promptly to my questions, and even provided beach towels and corn hole game for the beach. We were meeting family in the area and had a great time of the beach. House was neat and clean. Instructions and recommendations were nice.

Charming Home

Absolute charming home best location if you're there for the beach or Port of Rochester activities! Got to meet our hostand hostess very nice people A big plus for being pet friendly with a very shaded back yard was great for sitting! Also the only issue we had that required immediate attention was taken care of ASAP! Will check it for availibility on next trip!

Wedding Stay

Our group (2 couples) stay for a night due to a wedding we were attending that was being held at the Arbor at the Port. The place was perfect for our needs: close to the venue (5 minute drive), ease of check in and check out, the ability to check in early to ensure time to get ready for said wedding. While we didn’t utilize all of the amenities available to us at the property, what we used was accurate to the listing, clean, working properly, and well thought out. He’s was very responsive and flexible with us. We would definitely recommend this place to others.

Very disappointed

I was extremely disappointed in this property. First thing, we arrived and the home looked completely different than the pictures shown. The couch was brown and torn. The floors and the fans hadn’t been cleaned, to a point where we walked around and our feet were black. It smelled. The washer and dryer were not openly available. You had to exit the home, go to another door to access the basement, which was locked. After getting the code, the entire space was dark, full of cobwebs, and there was standing water. Oh, and the dryer didn’t work. Also, there’s another apartment space that is rented out separately and there is a small driveway to share. I don’t necessary care that there were other people, but I never saw it mentioned until I got check in instructions from the owner. The entrances are at the back of the home only, and because it was raining, it was muddy because there’s no actual concrete to lead to the door. The owners came to clean the home and apologized, but for the amount of money we paid, I expected at least the doors would close to all the bedrooms and that they may lock? Surprise. Neither of those things were true. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this location.

Terrible place

We don’t have enough space to list all that’s wrong here, but the house is small, old, dirty and poorly maintained – far worse than the glamour photos on the site suggest.The owner advertises a washer and dryer, but it turns out that you have to ask for instructions to find it, and when we did, he wrote back the following day – many hours after the request – with a lock code that he said he then changes each day. To get there, he gave us instructions to go outside and find what he described as a dark basement where we had better be prepared to bring our own light, apparently while holding our laundry.He also brought in loud guests to live on the same property, without having disclosed that until it already happened, despite VRBO's written policy against that.And by far the worst part – not only not disclosed, but falsely described – is the fact that the place, even without the surprise outside guests, is extremely loud. Our family was awake all night. The owner describes the house as "nestled in a quiet area," and asks visitors to abide by "quiet hours" beginning at 10 pm. The reality is that this house is at the intersection of two very busy roads that the locals use for drag racing throughout the day, and especially in the hours after 10 pm. It is almost non-stop roaring right outside the house's paper-thin windows, that even the best white-noise machine cannot overcome.

Not a single house - there are multiple suites with no sound proofing - and loose nails on the floor

We recently stayed at this property and were disappointed with our experience. The listing did not indicate that the house was divided into multiple dwellings. We specifically chose this property for a peaceful stay, but the guests in the adjacent apartment were extremely loud, returning at 3 a.m. and causing disturbances for over an hour. The next night, a quiet family stayed in the adjacent apartment, but given the poor insulation in the house, the noise was still considerable, even though the family was very respectable. This greatly disrupted our rest and was not the tranquil environment we expected. Additionally, there were safety issues within the property. A nail was protruding from the transition strip in the adult bedroom, and one of our group members stepped on it, resulting in a painful gash. The presence of a marker around the nail suggested that this problem was known but had not been addressed. This lack of attention to safety is concerning. I reached out to the VRBO office with these complaints, but nothing was done. I have heard cautionary tales about VRBO's poor handling of refunds and customer support, and this was my first time renting with them. Unfortunately, it will also be my last, and I will be outspoken about my negative experience. Overall, our stay was marred by the unexpected noise and safety issues. We would not recommend this property for families or those seeking a quiet and safe environment. The experience did not meet our expectations based

Great spot

This was the perfect spot. Walking distance to friendly restaurants. Close to golf courses and grocery. Would 100% recommend and stay again. Jed was very informative and had excellent communication before and during our stay.
