Beautiful white sandy beaches just steps outside your door await. Our NEWLY UPDATED historic beach cottage is perfect for families and friends who like to spend quality time together on the Balboa Peninsula. Enjoy the enchanting sunrises and sunsets any time of the year!
This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom updated historic oceanview cottage is fully equipped for all of your vacation cottage needs.
It is conveniently located central to the Balboa Peninsula making it walking distance to all of the eateries and local shopping that the Peninsula has to offer. It is also situated just one house away from the white sandy beach with virtually no traffic noise, as we are nicely tucked into the coastline.

Bedroom #1 - Queen size bed, 45â flat screen tv
Bedroom #2 - Queen size bed and twin bunk bed, 45â flat screen tv, designated workspace, large dresser en suite with extra blankets, pillows, and hangers

Bathroom #1-Full bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet, and blow dryer!
OUTDOOR LIVING:

LIVING ROOM:
Two fold out sofa beds, 75â flat screen tv
WiFi throughout the house and patio
KITCHEN:
Includes sink, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, oven, conventional oven, toaster, Keurig, coffee machine, ice maker, rice cooker, and more. Plates, cups, and utensils, as well as cookware nicely stocked. Basic home goods and condiments also available for your use.
LAUNDRY:
Washer/Dryer in the kitchen area. Laundromat is also conveniently located 1 block away.
LINENS:
Linens, towels, and beach towels are provided all year round.
PARKING:
Parking is sufficient for one SUV, and one compact car in the driveway. We are blessed to be on one of the few double-wide streets, with ample parking on both sides as well.
RECREATIONAL GEAR:
Beach chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, boogie boards, bikes, beach towels, kites, sand toys, volleyball, kids scooter are readily available and at your disposable for excursions to the sand, just steps away.
COOLING AND HEATING:
Powerful whole house fan for those warm summer nights cool the cottage quickly and efficiently. Portable fans are also available for every room. Heaters are placed throughout cottage on those cool evenings during winter time.
NEARBY AIRPORTS:
John Wayne airport-10-minute Uber ride
Long Beach airport - 20-minute Uber ride
Long Angeles airport-45-minute Uber ride
No car is needed. Everything is within walking or biking distance from Your Beach house!
LOCATION:
Sea Gem Cottage is conveniently located steps to the beach with world-class surfing, volleyball, and boating!
The fabulous Lido Village with farm to table dining, first class restaurants and boutique shops all within walking distance!
Easy day excursions to Disneyland (20 minutes away), Universal Studios, Legoland, and more! World-class shopping at South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island is 10 minutes drive away.
World-class golfing at Pelican Hill is 10 minutes away!
A major grocery store is walking distance!
A playground just down the street!
Fine steak, Italian, sushi bar, and casual restaurants along with a doughnut shop, coffee house/bagel shop, fast food, dive shop and grocery store are down the street from the cottage!
Newport Pier with 20-plus restaurants is a 5-minute bike ride or a 10-minute walk along the oceanfront boardwalk!
Walk or jog along miles of uninterrupted coastline. If you spot a pod of dolphins jump in and have the experience of a lifetime.
Experience fantastic sunsets over Catalina Island from the beach. Take a hydrofoil 45-minute boat ride to Catalina Island and be a part of the sunset.
Hoag Hospital facilities are two minutes away and Anaheim Convention Center is 20 minutes away.

There is a $65 per day charge for any visitors not listed on the rental agreement and/or exceeding 7 guests to be paid prior to arrival. This is a family-friendly property.

There is no smoking (including vapor cigarettes or cannabis) in the house or anywhere on the property including the garage, behind the garage, front sidewalk, or alley.
NOISE:
No loud music or voices between 10 PM and 9 AM.
**This is mandated by the city of Newport Beach.
Relax on the front balcony with a cup of coffee, and take in the beautiful views of the surf and sand, watch sailing regattas, or just people watch and take in the beach culture.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a family-friendly property. This is a smoke-free property.

- Small pets allowed for an additional fee

What we love about this neighborhood is that there is something for all ages to enjoy! The sand and ocean are only a few steps away. You don't need a car as everything you need is within walking distance to the cottage.

Our property is unique because it has maintained it's historic structural form. We have made enhancements to the cottage but there is still a lot of history and character that we preserved to provide you a unique coastal experience!
