In town for a football game? Just 1.7 miles from Notre Dame Stadium, Tall Oaks Cottage is a quick and easy walk to White Field, for free game-day shuttle service. Centrally located 1.5 miles from St. Joseph River parks and trails, and four miles from downtown South Bend. Abundant dining and entertainment offerings are a few short minutes away at Eddy Street Commons, along Rt 933, and on Main Street in Mishawaka.

THE SPACE
Step through the front door to a light-filled living room with a cozy gas log fireplace and large smart TV, then continue to the fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The main level has 3 bedrooms and two renovated full bathrooms. A large primary bedroom boasts deluxe king bed and ensuite bathroom. The roomy second bedroom features a deluxe king bed. Trundle twin beds (upper mattress is deluxe, lower mattress is 7-inch so as to fit underneath) and an office desk in third bedroom.

The lower level includes a spacious family room with a bright and cheerful seating area, a full gas log fireplace, and a game/dining table that expands to fit your group. A full bath (renovated in 2026) and private fourth bedroom with deluxe queen bed and built-in desk are on this level. Another room contains a crib and baby gear. Washer and dryer available are in newly remodeled laundry room (2026) adjacent to family room and bath.

Back upstairs and right out the rear door, you'll enjoy a relaxing screened-in porch with ample space to enjoy the fresh air and wooded scenery without being exposed to the elements. Step outside to the large, shady yard with plenty of grass for lawn games. On the patio, find a table with chairs and a propane gas grill as well as a cozy patio swing.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests will initially enter the home with keyless entry through the screened porch. Code will be provided upon check-in. All parts of the property are available except for a private owner’s room in the basement and the garage. Guests can access TV streaming services through two Google TV’s. These smart TV’s are also equipped with local and cable channels through You Tube TV.

PETS. We have a strict no-pet policy for our guests. However, the owners' short-haired domestic cat occasionally visits the home. While we thoroughly clean, vacuum, and sanitize the entire home and furniture after those visits, if you or someone in your party is highly allergic to cats, you may prefer to stay at another location.

We welcome football fans and tailgaters as well as families and friends coming together for special occasions. We require that guest be at least 25 years old to book.

NO LARGE PARTIES. NO EVENTS. This home is within a residential neighborhood. To be courteous to our neighbors we ask that you respect quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am.
