Construit en 1930, Camp Bleu est l'un des rares camps Vermont originaux

Revivez ces beaux jours d'antan au bord du lac! Ce 3 chambres 1 salle de bain-camp de saison confortable sur Malletts Bay détient tout le charme et le caractère d'antan tout en incluant les conforts de la maison. Se détendre et regarder les bateaux passer de la véranda en ou prendre un bain dans le lac au large du radeau privé. Le radeau est également parfait pour la pêche ou prendre le soleil. Camp Bleu peut accueillir jusqu'à 8 (en comptant le canapé-lit), bien que certains clients bénéficient de dormir sur la véranda pour plus d'une expérience de plein air. Un quai et un amarrage limités sont également disponibles lorsque les niveaux d’eau ne sont pas trop élevés pour les clients qui souhaitent emmener leur bateau. Cuisine, salle à manger et salon entièrement équipée avec poêle à bois pour les nuits fraîches. Situation calme est sur une route sans fin de la saleté à distance de marche du magasin général. Pour lac ou Church Street à manger, Burlington est accessible en vélo (30-45 min sur le chemin de vélo communautaire), en bateau ou automobile (15 min). Pour les plus aventureux, plusieurs tyroliennes sont dans les 90 minutes et plusieurs restaurants sont disponibles sur le côté NY du lac Champlain qui peut être croisé avec votre bateau ou par ferry. Vélos (4), kayaks (2), paddle board et un petit bateau à rames sont disponibles pour utilisation. Parmi les autres attractions sentiers de randonnée, de l'alpinisme, des musées, des caves, des excursions en bateau, drive-in cinéma et plus encore.

The view was excellent. It's on a quiet road, with plenty of activities nearby. The camp is rustic and unique, but well-maintained. It felt like going back in a time machine. John lives nearby, and responded quickly via direct message. The screened porch is massive and would be perfect for summer dinners. Overall, it was a lovely experience for my parents and they would certainly stay there again.

Lovely place!

We loved this little camp, perfect spot on the lake and very nostalgic feeling. It has all of the necessary items and many comforts as well. It was a chilly weekend but the heating stove kept us toasty! Very easy to use with a remote. If we come when the weather is better we’d definitely use the kayaks and bikes. Loved our stay at Blue Camp!!!

Wonderful Place!

We had a great stay in the blue house. John was a great host and the location was perfect. Even when we had rain sitting on the screened in deck was so relaxing. Def will come back and recommend to anyone looking!

Charming

This cabin was truly the perfect getaway. The decor is lovely, the rooms are quaint, and the area is gorgeous. The biggest highlight is the porch facing the lake with the rocking chairs - you want to spend all day there. Highly recommend a stay here.

Lake house Haven

Cozy & rustic lake house with amazing views & access to the lake! Great location to enjoy downtown Burlington, accessing great hiking trails & Stowe, VT within an hour. Host super responsive& helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

Very nice residential neighborhood with an excellent host. Rooms are all Open at ceiling - just a note if you have restless sleepers.

Fabulous Porch View @ Blue Camp

We enjoyed Blue Camp's porch view of Mallets Bay, especially the sunrise views and watching the boats on the bay. It's in a quiet neighborhood and is well located for easy drives to the islands or mountains for hiking or Burlington for dining and shopping.

Great cabin

What a cool old cabin! John was always responsive leading up to our stay and very kindly had the heater on for us since it was pretty cold and we arrived a few hours later than we planned due to a storm. Hope to come back again and for a longer stay to spend more time in the area and on the lake!

The listing was accurate, pics and all. It wasn't spotless, which we kinda figured since it relies on other guests and is an older place. The weather sucked, but we made the best of it! Our last day was amazing though, and we loved the porch. Best part? We got to sit out there even though it rained.

Little Treasure

The blue cabin was a wonderful little retreat nestled right on Lake Champlain. The views were spectacular, the cabin was spotless and also has every amenity you could possibly think of, and then some! Communication with the renter was quick and easy and seamless. A total 10/10 experience. I would totally recommend this place!

Blue Camp - Wonderful place as advertised

Sometimes these places sound too good to be true. Not the case here, perfect place for a quiet getaway, explore the beautiful Burlington area, including the lake. You can hike, bike, kayak or just chill in the serenity of the amazing screen porch. Everything you need is right there. The hosts do a wonderful job with the place. Thank you for a great stay.

amazing host amazing stay

I can’t say better things about my stay at the Blue Camp. My mom and I had a mother daughter trip here in late September. it’s absolutely picturesque and so so cozy. John is a wonderful human and host. There is an uncles number of things to do, and I really enjoyed riding the bikes on the property to the nearby islands. You will have the coziest beast time here. Already looking forward to coming back in the summer with friends and getting in the lake.

Lovely setting to enjoy with a family

Very quaint with room for children to Play and run. Had over family for the evening and a grandchild or two to play during the day. Tiny kitchen but adequate for meal prep as long as you don’t get too fancy. Quite a few dust bunnies but not really worrisome unclean. Hope to stay again. Would be lovely in winter, too if winterized .

Blue Camp was great!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Blue Camp for 3 nights and we truly enjoyed our stay. The view of Lake Champlain was gorgeous! The screened porch was perfect to enjoy coffee in the mornings. The cabin has all the amenities you wouldn't, including washer/dryer and kitchen appliances. John was very pleasant, responsive, and helpful. Wonderful person to rent from. Great place to stay!

There was no insulation in the bedrooms which made them quite cold for sleeping in comfortably at the end of October. The attic is open in most of the house (no ceilings in bedrooms either) so its quite dusty. Furthermore, cleaning is up to the guests (which is why there is no cleaning fee) so it needs a deep clean overall. The cleaning policy should also be mentioned BEFORE you get check in instructions which first mention the guests are expected to clean (including washing, drying and putting away linens). Mattresses were all quite old and need some toppers if not updated. Despite these issues, the location is wonderful and the porch overlooking the lake is very nice. With some adjustments to the cleaning (my chief concern) I would stay again.

While rare, on occasion a guest misses the cleaning policy which is stated in both the house rules and the agreement which is available in the Blue Camp description. Most guests familiarize this before they book which is why we don't see this comment very often. We would prefer to offer cleaning services, but as often the case in vacation areas like Vermont, reliable cleaning services are unavailable. It's a relatively small space and quick to tidy up before departure. We will reexamine mattresses, but the largest bed is a queen, purchased this summer and has a mattress topper on it. A photo of it is included in this guest's response with the green bedspread. The heating system is designed for a space more than twice the size of the Blue Camp which is why we do not hear a complaint of chilly bedrooms very often. The heating thermostat is located in the remote and can be placed in any room for a customized temperature. Apologies to the guest that their stay did not meet expectations. We strive for this and have no motivation otherwise, have a high occupancy rate, and most of our guest have been repeat customers for many years.

Perfect week on the bay

We loved John’s cabin. Well equipped with everything we could need plus so much more. The location on the bay was perfect and our dogs loved the property. John was very thoughtful and prepared the rental for our arrival; when we arrived the fire was going the lights were on and music was playing. Our only regret was that we didn’t make it to the basement until the last day; don’t miss out on the fun like we did.
