Escape to Eagle’s Rest, a peaceful and private guest suite nestled along the water—perfect for relaxing getaways, remote work, or a cozy retreat in any season.
Also please note that there is long term renter on the top portion of the property.

Located on the lower level of the home, this suite features its own private entrance, offering both comfort and complete privacy throughout your stay.

Inside, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed open-concept living space with everything you need to feel at home. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, and both a traditional coffee maker and Keurig—ideal for slow mornings or fueling up before a day of exploring. An electric fireplace adds warmth and ambiance, making this space especially inviting during fall and winter.

There are two queen bedrooms, both offering beautiful views of Lake Michigan and equipped with smart TVs. You’ll also find a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as a newly remodeled half bath—perfect for helping everyone get ready and out the door for the day’s (or night’s) adventures.

A small desk area is also available, perfect for catching up on work or working remotely with ease.
Although this rental does not have air conditioning, its shaded position and basement layout help keep it naturally cool and comfortable throughout the warmer months.

Step outside to your enclosed patio, or head down to the private beachfront—a true highlight of the property. Whether you're watching the sunset, enjoying a quiet morning by the water, or gathering around the fire pit in the evening, this setting offers a memorable Northern Michigan experience.

The bedroom heat was too high with no way to control it. Is it possible the upstairs tenant controlled downstairs heat?We opened bedroom windows and the doors to reduce the heat. Otherwise our stay was fine.

This spot fit the bill with lake access on a quiet area with gorgeous sunsets. I've been burned by owners before on small damages, so traveling with a pet, I brought our linens for all beds and sofa, but the ones on offer were nice. Could use a good dehumidifier w/ location (and a dishwasher!) but was otherwise well equipped. Even has a fenced area for pets!! Our family loves this area and we were delighted to find this listing.

Anniversary getaway

Fantastic communication, and check in/out process. The views and the sunsets were amazing. We enjoyed the beach access and our pup loved experiencing the water. It was a perfect way to relax and celebrate together.

Spacious outdoor seating that we took advantage of for breakfast and dinners. The Bar-B-Q grill worked well. The bonus was having a side yard fenced area for our dogs to roam and do their business! The swing overlooking Lake Mi. was a great place to relax and view beautiful sunsets! We enjoyed two evening campfires in the firepit with ample wood supplied by owner. Lovely green space around the home which is well manicured and maintained.We were fortunate to have several conversations with the owner who was delightful and very helpful during our stay. So peaceful and tranquil there we were happy just hanging out. I would highly recommend Eagle's Rest, especially fo those who have dogs!

Peaceful getaway with our pooch

Beautiful Lakeside Retreat with our dog. Nice fenced in property with all the amenities and a wonderful bathroom and shower!! Enjoyed town and the gorgeous sunsets! Will definitely head back in warmer weather!

Amazing!

This place was exceptional! 20/10. The property is simply gorgeous, in a phenomenal location. I stayed with my family, and my sweet Rottweiler - he loved it. Extra points for dog friendly :) you will not be disappointed in your stay, I recommend everyone book this place!

The property was beautiful, clean and quiet, with an amazing view of the lake! The screened porch was a perfect spot for listening to the waves at night and enjoying a drink. Being able to bring our dog was an added benefit. I would highly recommend the property. Great place to relax and enjoy time with our family and friends!

Perfect Spot

This place was amazing! The views and sunsets were incredible, everything was clean and as shown. Lots of outdoor seating options, plus plenty of space inside. We did occasionally hear the renters above walking through the ceiling but nothing loud, to be expected, and we had the swing all to ourselves through our stay. We were able to explore Petoskey, Boyne City, and Charlevoix with short drives.

Great place, location but no Air conditioning

Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location but no air and fire alarm went off when cooking because so hot in place. would not stay there in summer again because of heat. Place is really nice if they put central air in. Owner is really nice as well

At the same time, we completely understand your frustration with the heat during your stay. You happened to visit during an exceptionally rare 93-degree stretch in Northern Michigan, which can certainly make homes without central air feel uncomfortable, especially when cooking. Because such hot weather is uncommon in the region, many homes were originally built without central air, but we recognize how important comfort is during those rare summer spikes. Your comments about central air and the smoke alarm going off are valuable and will be shared with ownership so that they can evaluate future improvements. We’re glad the rest of the property met your expectations, and we hope that in more typical Northern Michigan weather—which is much cooler and milder—you’ll find it far more enjoyable. Thank you again for taking the time to provide this review and for highlighting both the positives and the areas for improvement.
