Private, Peaceful Retreat panoramic views of Lake Austin from living room and outdoor deck with private lake access dock walking distance. Voted best view in Austin!
This home is perfect for those seeking a peaceful, quiet retreat proximate to modern convenience. 15/20 mins to downtown Austin
-2 bedrooms. One has a queen bed the other has a pullout sofa bed. Both are decorated nicely and have clothing space.
The bathroom has a full size bathtub and has just been reglazed
Kitchen comes with all things to make a full meal.
*Some kitchen cabinets are locked as they are private. Living room has a 60” smart tv with all of the apps installed
Bluetooth stereo speaker, Record player with vinyl, books, games etc
Coffee maker with complimentary coffee & tea for our guests in the mornings
Our house is on a private dead end street so lots of peacefulness and beautiful walking trails right outside of the door
-Jacuzzi is a soft tub outside and requires an extra fee for heating and cleaning. Plz message us at least 3-4 days prior if you’d like us to set that up
*we offer early check in and late check out (if available) for an extra fee plz inquire prior
*We have lake access within a 5 minute walking distance with a private HOA swim dock and tennis court.
Rules:
* Please read all rules before booking as these are very important and cannot be changed at all No refunds are accepted and you must verbally state that you agree in the messages. Rules: -no animals of any kind are allowed including service animals
-no smoking of any kind is allowed
-no parties or social gatherings with more than 4 people are allowed at all times
-main person booking must be over the age of 25 years of age no boats are allowed to be parked in our driveway

*there is a security camera outside only that records and monitors 24 hrs a day for security purposes. If any of these rules are broken you will be asked to vacate the home Asap and will not receive a refund *You will be the only ones staying at the house of course , we do lock a few closets and some of the cabinets as we live here part time as it’s not for use.

My granddaughter and I had the best time staying here. With floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area, we had a perfect view of the lake. We enjoyed our walks throughout the pretty neighborhood. The host was very attentive and the house was clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again!

I stayed at this house last week. This is an old house in desperate need of maintenance. I recalled a line from Clueless liking the house to a Monet painting, it looks nice from afar, but the moment you get up close it’s a big old mess. The foundation is questionable at best, there is a hump in the floor as you walk from the front to the back, the tile is cracked and not level at the toilet in the bathroom due to it, and the sink is pitched forward. I could not stand my electric tooth brush up because of it. None of the furniture is comfortable, the bed felt like it was 20 years old straight off of a sofa bed. The dining table has 45 minute chairs like restaurants. The sofa and love seat felt caved in. The deck is precarious to get down to due to the angle and lack of railing on one side. There is junk all around the deck in the trees and old stuff under the deck that you can see once you walk down. There are broken chairs with the bottoms completely missing on the deck with pillows full of holes on top. The lower deck furniture is sagging. There is peeled and cracked paint all over the place from the walls to the window sills. Old dirty caulk and a sagging discolored drop ceiling where the living room meets the rest of the house. Kitchen was poorly equipped for anyone cooking. The amount of things covered up to disguise their personal items was weird with locks and labels everywhere to not touch. I felt surveilled the entire time I was there

Several of the statements made in this review were either greatly exaggerated or factually inaccurate, and we provided supporting documentation directly to Vrbo regarding those claims. Safety is extremely important to us, and at no point has the property been deemed unsafe or structurally unsound. Our home is accurately represented in the listing photos and description, and many guests specifically choose it for its character, charm, and unique atmosphere. As with many homes in the area, it is not a newly constructed property, but it is regularly maintained and professionally cleaned between every stay. We also want to clarify that any locked cabinets or labeled owner storage areas are standard practice in many vacation rentals and exist simply to separate personal/maintenance items from guest-access spaces. There are no interior surveillance devices monitoring guests. We continue to maintain and improve the property regularly and appreciate feedback that is constructive and made in good faith. Thankfully, the vast majority of our guests have had very positive experiences at the home. This renter was extremely difficult as a renter and she told us she never stayed in a Vrbo before so clearly she didn’t read our listing description that is very detailed

Perfect for a weekend getaway

My husband and I booked this home for a weekend trip to getaway during our anniversary vacation. My hubby can be difficult to please but couldn’t stop complimenting the choice I made on this house! We enjoyed the views of the lake and the location was beautiful, with plenty of great food and parks nearby to try.

signs and locks throughout the home to not use. Food in refrigerator and freezer for the owner a bit off putting. conflicting check-in times, sent message to owner for clarification . A different person replied. Accidentally showed up at one time, cleaning crew still there. Owner sent sharp message back. We felt very unwelcome like we were an imposition. Skolie in front of property with broken window boarded up with cardboard and sign for rental. Dead insects in window sills just after cleaning crew had been in property.

I’d like to provide some clarification for future guests reading this review. Clear check-in instructions and timing were sent in advance, and when you arrived earlier than the confirmed check-in time, the cleaning team was still completing their work. This was communicated promptly, and at no point was any message unwelcoming. The refrigerator and freezer contained clearly labeled items belonging to the owner, which is disclosed and does not impact guest use of the space. Any posted signs or locked areas are standard and are in place solely to protect owner belongings and maintenance areas, and is fully disclosed in the listing before people rent it! There was no vehicle parked on our property whatsoever so not sure what you are referring to. Our cleaning team cleaned prior to your arrival, and no cleanliness concerns were reported during your stay that would have allowed us the opportunity to address them immediately. We take guest comfort seriously and strive to provide a welcoming, transparent experience
