Pet friendly canal retreat

'Turtle retreat' is a place where you can relax, enjoy the sunrise and make memories with your family. The house includes a dumb-waiter to bring up your groceries or send food and drinks downstairs. It is also equipped with a whole house natural gas generator, cargo lift for your suitcases and freestanding icemaker to make your trip more enjoyable.

We have plenty of games for the kids and there is a smart TV in every room.

Fishing rods provided so you can fish right off your private dock.
Guest access
There is an owner's closet upstairs and downstairs that locked. It is where cleaning supplies are located for our cleaning crew between guests. These supplies are locked up to avoid being accidentally ingested by young children. All other spaces are completely accessible to our guests.

The home was wonderful, clean and just felt like home. Loved the coffee bar and extra ice machine. The outside lift was great to take our luggage & other items to the upper floor. We enjoyed the outside dock for fishing and relaxing. We had some rain, but it did not spoil our weekend. I will likely recommend to other and would rent again in the off season. Next time we will bring our dachshund babies since the home welcomed pets.

We use vrbo often and this location was so perfect for our family get together. Leanne was immediate in her responses and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Would recommend to anyone staying in the galveston area! The home was comfortable and inviting! We cannot say enough about the hospitality and attention to our needs. Great dock for fishing and the lifts made loading in and out a breeze!

Turtle Retreat, and Leanne are amazing! The house is clean, well-maintained, well-stocked, and loaded with nice touches! There are games/books for all ages, puzzles, coolers for bait, fishing rods, pet supplies and treats, lots of space and shelving for storage downstairs, etc. This house just screams, “How thoughtful!”Leanne is very kind; she was always available with suggestions, and answers to questions.We have stayed at many houses in the area over the years…..This is by far the BEST!

Very clean inside and out. A super to have a ice machine and the green light. Host really put thought into the renters. I have rented many homes and this was by far the best. Love that their are separate refrigerators in the fishing area. Beautiful decor and was very relaxing. Looking forward to renting again. Thanks for being a great host!!

We had an amazing stay at this house! The views are absolutely stunning, and the location right on the canal is perfect. The home is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need, making the stay feel extra special and effortless. The owners were wonderful—easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful time! Potty bags were there for my pup. And the kitchen is so well appointed. More utensils and appliances than I needed. The coffee bar was great. Great books, games, toys. It is a beautiful home and in a great location. So peaceful. My daughter caught her first fish!

Amazing stay

We rent several houses a year to get away and this was definitely in the top. Communication with the owner was above and beyond and the house was amazing! It was well stocked and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Leanne was very responsive and an excellent host. The house was clean and spacious. The house had all the essentials and more. Perfect weekend get away

The beach house was perfect for our needs. It has all the amenities you will need to enjoy a weekend get away. Our friends were very impressed with the place and can't wait to book again sometime. We cooked, we fished, we hung out both indoors and outdoors with our families and it was great. Beautiful home.
