Loft-Style/ Lower Level - Self-Contained with Beach Access studio

Welcome to our spacious, open-concept lower level,/basement perfect for a relaxing getaway. We’ve made this available because it gives us the opportunity to host guests even when we’re not traveling. This private unit offers its own entrance, providing a sense of independence and convenience. Features include:

Fully Equipped Kitchen: Includes everything you need to prepare meals.
Washer & Dryer: For your laundry needs during your stay.
Bathroom with Shower: Fresh and clean for your convenience.
Sleeping Arrangements: A cozy queen bed and a full-size bed.
Living Area: A custom-built entertainment center, large sectional sofa, and a dining table for 6. Plenty of closet space available for your belongings.
Outdoor Gear: Beach umbrella and chairs for 4 guests, plus board games for entertainment

.Guest Access:

Separate entrance located at the back of the house.
Easy access to the beach right across the street.

Important Notes:

The unit is located in a family-friendly home with teenagers, so there may be some daytime noise. By 9 PM, things quiet down, and mornings will see some foot traffic during school days.
This space is ideal if you're looking for a functional, family-friendly stay with easy access to the beach, just across the street.

The basement access accommodations were in a quiet, safe neighborhood with and easy uber to Salem. My best friend and I visited to explore the witch city during the middle of Halloween. The lower level of the house was accessible through a door in the backyard. The kitchen space was spacious but we chose to eat out. Just a few steps down from the kitchen was the space where we spent the most time. The living/bedroom area is a combo space with a comfy, roomy couch. The place was well-stocked with blankets and pillows. I will say they have some of the best pillows - we each slept great in our own queen(?) size beds. It was chilly during our stay so we only visited the beach once but it was easy to access and very picturesque.

We had a wonderful two night stay. We had everything we needed, including coffee and tea to help us start our days. The bed was super comfortable with extra blankets and pillows available. The space was larger than we expected except the bathroom which is small as described and also sufficient. Beautiful area with lots to do. This would be a great place to stay with kids. Many games and books were available with open space to play.

Perfect little set up for what my friend and I needed for the weekend girls trip to Salem. Nice to not be in downtown Salem or Boston. So many things within walkable distance and neighborhood felt safe. We had no issues walking home after sundown and having dinner. The hosts replied immediately anytime communication was necessary.

Our stay was great! Check-in was very easy and the hosts were there to meet us. The apartment was very clean. Diana does not give herself enough credit with the amenities and supplies that are provided. Plenty of sheets, blanket and towels as well as bath products and cleaning products if you need them. Beach towels and chairs were easily accessible. There was a side patio that I made use of to do some reading one morning. A hair dryer, iron, and fan were also available. It is a great location to stay when wanting to access Salem, Marblehead, Gloucester, and Boston. The beach is within a stone’s throw. The harbor front of Swampscott is cute as well with restaurants and dessert places.

The property description wasn’t accurate as it’s really a studio and not a 1 bdrm. The ac worked well and kitchen was nice. The beds were uncomfortable and bedding and towels had a mildewy smell. Bathroom is tiny and difficult for normal-size person to negotiate. Bathroom shower had mildew. Crumbs on the couches.

My teenager and I had a great space here. Loved the space and the amenities. Our hosts were amazing people and I never heard them while we were there. The apartment was very clean and cozy, the neighbourhood was adjacent to the ocean, which we loved. Recommending this place to families! We enjoyed our stay.

Quiet, clean, and beautiful location

This location was a perfect getaway from everything and yet close enough to visit and sightsee. Easy access to the beach. Plenty of sleeping room. One of the beds is very firm, but the other one was perfect. The host was quick to answer any questions. It was just what we needed for a girls trip.

Great unit in a fabulous location!

We were here for two nights while visiting family. Its a great unit with a ton of space. It has a full, well-stocked kitchen. It's literally steps from the beach, and a 10 minute walk to a bunch of restaurants and pubs. We will stay here again when back in the area!

Wonderful host, great place to go

We really enjoyed our stay with Diana and Dean. Communication was wonderful, the place was spacious and the beach literally across the street. We only spent two nights but would go theragain bc a heartbeat. If you would force us to recommend improvements it would be a few more glasses in the cupboard. Thanks for having us, it was great

Great location!

We loved that this location was near the beach and out of the city. Myself, my mom and my two teens all slept here comfortably with plenty of room. Be sure to read the hosts recommendations, it was all helpful for navigating our trip. Would totally stay there again!! Such a beautiful neighborhood :)

Great location - spacious accommodations

Great location by the water. Space was big with washer, dryer, full kitchen, really anything you'd need. Fully stocked bathroom. Cool sitting area and 2 large beds. Owner checked in to make sure I was comfortable and if I needed anything. Met the father and the son, very nice people. Would recommend.
