Fun trip

Property was clean. Enjoyed the lazy river. Grilling area was nice to have a cookout near the bay.

This was our familys second trip to this resort. We had a great time. Lots of swimming areas.

Family with adult children

The condo was clean and everything was in working order. There were plenty of dishes and supplies for 8 people (if you didn’t mind mismatching). The beds were comfortable. The condo is rather bare bones. So be sure to bring games and such with you. We couldn’t figure out the cox cable but we had brought our Roku so it was okay. The biggest complaint we had was the outside noise. Even though you are on the sixth floor the noise travels. Overall we enjoyed our stay and felt the company did a great job communicating with us.

BEWARE If you have ASTHMA or ALLERGIES When we first arrived the unit smelled of mold and mildew very strong!! We thought it would air out, but it didn’t. My son and I both have asthma and allergies and it was causing us breathing problems. I called the day after we checked in to see if we could be moved because it was causing us breathing problems. They said all the units were full. They sent a tech up to examine the room. She was very nice and cleaned out the air filter. It did help the smell, but I’m not sure it fixed the true issue because we had trouble breathing while in the unit, but could breath better once out of the unit.

Dirty

When we first arrived, we noticed dead bugs inside the drawer with the dishes. There is an inch of dust on the master ceiling fan. Floors were dirty. Dirty dishes inside the drawers. We had to buy paper bowls, plates, silverware, etc because it was nasty. There wasn’t even enough bowls for 8 people that the room sleeps. The ice maker is broken. We turned it on and the fridge leaked. Maintenance came 4 days later and said they would let the property know what was wrong with it. (They did bring us bagged ice at that time). The drain on the master shower was clogged. Even if you took a quick shower, you were standing in water. They did come to fix it after we let them know. The guest bathroom sink only ran extremely hot water. They came to fix it 2 days after arrival. Lots of “small issues” that lead to an unhappy client. We’ve gone to Destin West for 6 years and this was the worst we’ve ever seen it. I wouldn’t recommend this room and I would recommend to bring cleaning supplies because of how dirty the cleaning crew left it.
