Thoughtfully decorated in timeless New England style, this beautiful retreat blends modern comfort, elegant gathering spaces, and exceptional outdoor living — all just a 5-minute stroll from York Beach, shops, and restaurants.

Beyond Expectations

When we first arrived at the place I thought we had the wrong address. Pictures don't do it justice. It's spacious and gorgeous and has all the amenities. We were beyond pleased. We utilized the hot tub and grill and loved walking down town York. This place definitely won't disappoint. My family loves games and they deliver games. The board games to the yard games. It's the best. Its a great place and beautifully decorated

Very clean, great location. They provided more consumable supplies than expected. They provided a good offering of toys, and board games. Having sound machines in the rooms was also an excellent touch.The jacuzzi was great and the washer and dryer worked well. We did have a consistent problem with the WiFi which was not resolved during our stay. It was otherwise an amazing place to stay, I highly recommend it.

Weekend getaway with the girls

My three bestfriends and I decided we wanted to take a trip up to Maine from Rhode Island for the weekend. We chose to stay at Splice the Maine Brace and we are so glad that we did. Check-in went smoothly and the host provided us with very detailed instructions to make it easy for us, the house was and felt so clean which made it instantly feel like home for us, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The house also has a private backyard that we enjoyed every night. One of my favorite things about this house was the open floor plan, it made cooking and hanging out so much easier and really made it felt like a home. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wish that we stayed longer. Be sure to go check out Nubble Lighthouse and grab a breakfast sandwich from St Joes. We recommend staying at this house for the best Maine vacation, you will not regret it! We will definitely be back. Thank you for the best stay and making vacation relaxing instead of stressful :)

Wonderful week at Splice the Maine brace!

Splice the Maine Brace was truly a pleasure to stay at. The owners thought of pretty much everything you would need for a successful stay and Salt & Shine didn’t disappoint either. The trip to Short Sands was quick and easy with everything in walking distance. We will certainly return next year.

This was our 2nd time staying at this home; it’s a nice, airy. stylish, comfortable space. Everything is well done, there are adequate amounts of everything (kitchen equipment, towels etc); the towels were so good my husband went and ordered the same ones. The location is good. I don’t love a main road but it’s not too busy and it’s a very close and easy walk to town and Short Sands; we walked to the Nubble a few times too. And the hot tub is a nice plus!

We had an amazing stay for a Ladies weekend. The home was spacious, clean, and fully equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, comfortable beds, and location to town and the Nubble lighthouse. We also loved spending time together in the living room with the fireplace going. Can’t wait to stay here again.

We stayed at a lovely, new, and spacious home just a short walk from both the beach and downtown. Everything was within walking distance, which made it super convenient. The home had all the amenities we needed—especially the hot tub and fire pit, which really made the vacation special. The staff at Salt & Shine—Danielle, Stephanie, Hannah, and others—went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Their hospitality made a big difference and added a personal touch to our trip. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Home!

We had the best stay at Splice the Maine Brace! Pictures don't do this home justice! It was beautifully decorated, spacious, and well equipped. The home offers everything you would need on a vacation and more and is an easy walk to Short Sands beach. I could not be more happy with the home and our vacation. My only complaint is that I couldn't stay longer. Will definitely re-book in the future!

Perfect York Beach house

This a super clean, new and well stocked home. Easy walk to the beach/town/shops, etc. Garage parking. Hot tub and fire pit were perfect. But be prepared for lots of stairs, all bedrooms on third floor.

Beautiful Home

The house was enormous for a 3 bedroom, with a private back yard, a large top-end hot tub and a gas fired firepit. The kitchen was very clean, spacious, modern and fully equipped. In short, everything was top-notch. But examine the "fees" closely, as they increased the cost of our stay over 20%!

Falling in love with Short Sands

Wow! My family of five just wrapped up one of our best York vacations ever at Splice the Mainebrace! We normally spend our annual vacation off Long Sands but ended up here due to renovations at our go-to house. What a wonderful surprise! The house is a 5-star property, offering everything you would ever need for an enjoyable long weekend (or more) in York. The kitchen is fully stocked and complemented by a huge kitchen table and island with tools. The bedrooms are immaculate with super comfy beds. The hot tub and fireplace ended up being the centerpiece of our stay. The hot tub is resort-quality and spacious, easily fitting our entire family. The garage is packed with kid and adult outdoor games and more than enough beach gear. With the exception of an initial trip to Hannaford's and a drive to Nubble lighthouse (5 minutes), our car sat in the driveway the entire stay because we were able to walk to everything - York Beach Brewery, Short Sands beach, restaurants, shops - all within 5-10 minute walk WITH the kids. We have been Long Sands vacationers for 20+ years, but our stay at this home has made us rethink our York vacations. We will definitely be back!

Close to the Short Sands

The property only a 6 minute walk to short sands. It’s also in close proximity to a brewery and other bars and restaurants. Great space for my family. It had some board games, hot tub and a gas fire pit for everyone’s entertainment. It had a convenient outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. The garage was spacious to park our car. There were 2 foldable wagons, boogie boards, chairs, sand toys, corn hole and ladder ball and a large rolling cooler. We traveled by plane, so we appreciated the extra beach supplies. The kitchen was large with enough supplies and spices, as well as coffee, maple syrup, sugar, etc. The only improvements we noticed were there weren’t any beach towels which would have been helpful for people flying in, the washing machine needs to be cleaned and the bedding / pillows had some stains and could be upgraded. Maybe have the option of stainless steel and cast iron pots and pans instead of the teflon. The house is also right off of a busy road so if you have kids the back yard is the only outside play area.

Wonderful house for a family vacation

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The house was spotless, incredibly well maintained, and offered plenty of space for our entire group to relax and spend quality time together. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short, easy walk to both the beach and downtown, which made everything so convenient. One of our favorite parts of the home was the backyard—it’s a perfect space to unwind with the hot tub and fire pit, especially in the evenings. It was also clear how thoughtfully the home is set up for guests. We loved having games available for everyone to enjoy, and the kids were so excited to find toys just for them—it made the stay even more special for our whole family. We’ve been coming to York, Maine for years, and finding this home truly made the experience even more memorable. We hope to make this a yearly tradition and can’t wait to come back!
