Great house and in a great location on Boca Grande. Very close to the beach and downtown for fun shopping and restaurants. The house had plenty of room for our family of 6 and everyone loved it.

Gorgeous House

We stayed at the property during a recent fishing trip with friends/family. The house perfectly fit our group and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and highly recommend this rental for any group visiting the island.

It was a shared laundry that we were not informed about.Some of the covered furniture needed to be cleaned.Kitchen was very clean and well equipped.Beds very comfortable.
Granddaughter loved the penguins. We loved staying in an 100 yr old Florida piece of Florida history. Please never sell.

Exceptional Historic Luxury Home – Perfect Island Getaway!

We had an incredible stay at Gilchrist Manor! The home is beautifully maintained with a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. The updated appliances and high-end cookware made cooking a pleasure. We only used the two king bedrooms, and they were absolutely amazing — the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the linens were clearly high quality.The common-area washer and dryer were large, new, and very convenient for a beach trip. Everything in the home was spotless and exactly as described in the listing.The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to both the beach (with stunning sunsets!) and the historic district filled with charming shops and restaurants. We highly recommend renting a golf cart to explore the island. We enjoyed checking out the south end beaches and even visited the elegant Gasparilla Inn.This house exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re already planning our next visit. We truly couldn’t recommend it more!

Stay While in Boca Grande for Work

The property has an AMAZING location, one lot from the beach, and walking distance into the heart of Boca Grande. Its a nice layout, spacious and the rooms felt private given that three unrelated business associates were staying there. The family room with TV was large and had newer furniture that was clean and fit the BG vibe. The rest of the house could use updating as the furniture and rugs are a bit tired. The A/C can not be set to below 72 degrees and while there this past week, the heat and humidity was unbearable so that house felt stuffy to me. I would suggest the management company provide tissues, and better TP. We did find bathmats after inquiring with the mgmt company as only one of the bathrooms (we used 3 total) had bathmats stocked in them.
