Spread out on three floors in artfully-decorated, sun-filled spaces, or dine al fresco on the 1,000 sq. foot outdoor deck. Gather up some fire wood from the stocked shed, and set up your star-gazing base camp next to the fire pit - or indoors, in front of the wood stove during the cold months.
The house is located near prime outdoor Catskills hiking, fishing, and skiing options (get to Belleayre Mountain in 25 min, and Hunter Mountain in 30 min); 15 minutes from the villages of Woodstock and Phoenicia, and 25 minutes from the art galleries, music venues, and dining options on the Hudson River waterfront and in the historic Stockade District in Kingston.
Explore the nearby, 11.5 mile Ashokan Rail Trail by foot or bike, and sample the many restaurants, farm stands, wellness centers, unique shops, and swimming options within minutes of your mountaintop base.

HOUSE LAYOUT
GROUND FLOOR features a TV and movie screening lounge with its own kitchenette and a full bath. Guests may also use the provided basic fitness equipment for health and wellness routines.
MAIN FLOOR is bathed in sunlight through a wall of windows featuring spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains and Ashokan Reservoir. There is a large living room with a wood-burning stove that opens directly to the outdoor deck; a half bath; and an open-concept, full kitchen with modern appliances and a large central island counter that seats 6. Dinners can also be enjoyed outdoors on the deck - which features a dining table and lounge seating.
OUTDOOR DECK spans the entire length of the house, and has a gas propane grill, outdoor food prep area, and a seasonal hot tub. Plenty of seating options between Adirondack chairs, benches, and wood loungers with cushions. A European-style, retractable striped awning can be cranked open for ample shade, or to complete the look of a chic, outdoor spa or bistro.
TOP FLOOR is reached by an enclosed wooden staircase, which leads to a tropical-feeling lounge area with a hammock for view-gazing, napping, or reading. The two Queen-sized bedrooms are large, comfortable and private; each features inspiring mountain and reservoir views directly from bed. The master bedroom enjoys a large, en suite bath with a glass shower and soaking tub. A second full bathroom with shower and tub is shared between the other Queen bedroom and the bunk room with two, full-sized stacked beds. These rooms have desks and work-from-home areas with a desk and shelves - the Queen room faces the mountains/reservoir, the bunk room faces a sweet pine forest.
ECO-CONSCIOUS FEATURES the house is powered by solar energy, with a modern heat pump HVAC system zoned for different rooms and areas of the house. An EV charger is on hand for free charging of vehicles during your stay (Tesla adapters are required). Please note that during Central Hudson power outages, certain zones in and on the property - such as the charger and hot tub, and occasionally the hot water heater - will be turned off so all saved power goes to other electrical/power needs.
BUGS AND WILDLIFE this is a mountain home in a rural area with many forms of wild life. Guests need to be mindful that this includes bears, so please do not leave food or garbage outside the house other than during meals. We use products to deter bugs and pests, and we take pride in providing a clean, healthy, and tidy environment. However, we do not guarantee that bugs or pests will be completely absent from your stay, and it is possible that bugs or pests may show up or make their way into the house during your stay.
