The Hunter Chalet had gorgeous views. The beds were comfortable. Everything you need for coffee was available. Would love to return and stay longer so we could use all the amenities!

Everything was wonderful for our family summer vacation. The house was so great for us and our adult children and their dog. The pool and hot tub were a hit! Pete and Lara were wonderful to work with and all our needs were met.

Exquisite views of the Catskills. The house is positioned so that you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset from the spacious deck. We loved that they provided suet and bird food so we could observe the oh so many species of birds from the forest feeding. The pool is large and heated so easily accommodated our large group. The hosts are super friendly and very available when and if you need them. We loved it!

10 minutes from the slopes, cozy chalet for my family!

Would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it for a private retreat in the woods, yet so close to town! Wonderful location for my dog to come too! We all enjoyed the hot tub and my sons loved keeping the wood stove full. Beds were comfortable and clean. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

Autumn in the catskills

Everything was just perfect. The house was spacious and had so many wonderful amenities. Location was great, private and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars each night to relax from the hiking! Highly recommend.

Perfect mountain retreat

The place was perfect for our group with plenty of space. The house was much bigger in person and the views were great. A lot of natural light and all of the amenities you could ever need. Peter and Lara were excellent hosts and had the place warm and cozy when we arrived. Wood stoves were fired up and were going all weekend. It was a well maintained property. Hope to stay again in the future.

Lovely home for a remote getaway

We had a great time at the house, in spite of less than ideal weather for our vacation. The hot tub was great and featured lovely mountain views. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. I imagine it would be super cozy and lovely in the winter! Would definitely recommend the house for a Catskills getaway.

Ski Weekend

We were very happy with the house and the location to Hunter Mountain. The owners, Peter and Lara were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The hot tub was much appreciated after a day of skiing and the air hockey table was a hit.

Great Find! Sauna, Hot Tub & Fire Places!!!

The property was fantastic. The check-in process was super easy, and the owners stopped by to walk us through the property and answer our questions. If you like using a sauna, then this is the place for you. If you like hot tubbing, then this is the place for you. If you want a wood burning fire place, then this is the place for you. I would absolutely recommend this property, and I will definitely stay again.

Wonderful Vacation!!

Peter and Lara were wonderful and responsive hosts. The house and property were beautiful. Perfect for our two families, one with teens and one with toddlers. We enjoyed the salt water pool everyday and warmed up in the hot tub in the evenings.

Wonderful Chalet

The host was very nice and great communication. My family and I loved the area and the home. The house was warm and cozy with the wood burning stove. We enjoyed staying in the chalet. Owner lives next door but property is secluded and owner does not come to property unless you need them. Very responsive!Pool is gorgeous, very well appointed kitchen, easy check out. Grocery store within 20 minutes. Only real downside was there was a big mess of bird poop under a nest near the sliding door that should have been cleaned up prior to our stay. It was unsightly but worse had to keep reminding the little kids to not step in it.

Thank you for your kind review and for highlighting the pool, kitchen, and ease of your stay. We’re so glad you enjoyed the property and the privacy. Just to clarify, we don’t live next door but about 500 feet away, and we only come by if guests need us. As for the bird nest, we didn’t want to disturb the birds while they were nesting, but we do understand it wasn’t ideal with little ones around.

Absolutely LOVED our stay

Great house. Great owners. The hot tub, sauna, and the games room were the highlights. Close to everything. Hunter Mountain is literally 10 minutes away. One of the best experiences we had with VRBO rentals. We had a great time!. I 100% recommend this home.

Lovely summer holiday

Perfect for a family vacation surrounded by nature in a quiet country home with lots of amenities and space to spread out. Our stay included relaxing days of pool side fun, dips in the hot tub, ventures to nearby hikes, stargazing and bird watching. Air hockey, table shuffleboard, games & puzzles provided welcome rainy day distractions. Peter and Lara are friendly, responsive hosts, readily available to answer all questions and requests.

Beautiful, serene, inviting. We loved our stay!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful home! The house was spotless when we arrived, and we were welcomed with a warm fire already going in the wood stove – such a nice touch. Peter and Lara were there to greet us and give us a tour, making us all feel right at home. We also really appreciated how responsive they were when we had a small issue with the hot tub – they took care of it right away. The place is absolutely gorgeous and so unique – you can really see the love and care they put into building it, which adds to the overall magic of the experience. They were also super accommodating of our small dog, and the K-9 corner they created for pets was so cute and welcoming. By far, this has been our favorite place we’ve stayed, and we can’t wait to return for future stays! Highly recommend!
